AllCare has supportive management and professional staff. Throughout my time in the Human Resources department, I formed meaningful professional and personal relationships. My supervisors, along with other higher-ups outside of my department, took interest in my professional development and sought to help me advance and learn more about the health care industry. There is a true sense of community, one that was welcoming from the very first day. If you are willing to work hard and open to learning, this is an amazing work environment. Nurses, aides, and administrative staff have room to grow and discover their full potential at AllCare. If I had not moved out of the area, I would have stayed for years!

When I started at this company there was a management team that was respectful of both employees and patients and it showed everyday. This all changed with the incompetent clinical management team that took over about 3 years ago. From the clinical director to all of the clinical managers, it's all incompetence and unprofessionalism all day long. It's no surprise that the clinical director hires all of her friends as clinical managers. The disrespect that staff are shown on an everyday basis is unacceptable.  Working at this company is just not worth it.  They have gotten worse since PDGM but this problem existed long before.  My advice to the higher ups is replace the VNA clinical management team, start over, they are killing a formerly respectable company.

I came to All Care as a seasoned clinician and have been here over 6 years. All Care strives hard to provide exceptional patient care. As a home care professional,  it is important for me to work for a company that supports excellence.
As an employee, I feel the company goes above and beyond to show appreciation. Some examples are signed birthday cards each year, catered meals at the office for all staff, several times a year, and gift cards for above and beyond. I have not experienced this commitment so strong at my other jobs. Many of the employees that work here today have left and returned!
Home care is a tough part of the health care industry. The job is hard and I believe All Care acknowledges this and values their employees. 

hardest part of the job was inability to keep up with the workload. As case manager, you have no control of your caseload or the schedule.  The schedulers assign you wherever they want.  You got hire for Lynn Area then all the sudden you asked to be covered Cambridge, east boston, Gloucester for months.  They don't treat their new hire fairly at all and this is the reason why they always hiring.  Daily admission and recertification and the papers are due the next morning; otherwise everyone from top management to lower position start to harass you with emails and phone calls.   The most stressful place to work.

As a core requirement of 200 hours if intern work, this was my place and field of study and interest. 

Upon the completion of an 8 month long intensive program at Everest Institute, 200 hours of hands on know how took place at All Care VNA & Hospice. 

Although they were not hiring at this time, I still had the fortunate opportunity to learn an adequate amount of skills and gain a great base of knowledge in this ever changing, growing field of human service work.

The company has a great drive to provide care. Depending on your department, you will be treated differently. There is no appropriate training, high turnover, and inappropriate bullying from management to staff that they do not even oversee. If you go to HR about these bullying issues, they will tell you they hear you and then terminate you within a week. Sad to see such potential being wasted by management teams of bullies. If you are somebody who doesn’t function well with rude commentary daily, unattainable goals, and fully understaffed teams, you won’t do well here. 

I feel that management works well together and is open to new Ideas.  I feel heard.  The most enjoyable part of working here is the people and feeling like I have accomplished something each day.  Management tries to foster a great work environment and sends out monetary appreciations to those who go above and beyond at any time.  A lot of long-term staff here.

I only worked there for a year I live in Essex County and the reason I left was because there was not enough hours for me to have through out a 6 hour day, Unless I was driving to Mystic Valley area or Suffolk County area  which was a little bit too far for me... Overall the company was a good company to work for and the people are nice I just wish there were more hours to be provided in Essex County area for me. I am a single mom I will  travel that far when it’s was costing me more money than I was making to travel. It was like I was working for free. thank you 

I started with All Care VNA in 2007. I started as an LPN, used the tuition reimbursement to further my education and became an RN. I expressed my interest in wound healing, wound care and ostomy and All Care paid for me to get my wound certification and provided me paid time off to complete the certification class. All Care has supported my growth and advancement in my education and career as well as within the agency. 

I have been working at All Care for over 12 years.  I have been able to strike a great balance of work/family life due to the respect management has for their employees.  It is a medium sized, local company, so there is a great sense of belonging and empowerment, knowing your voice is heard and your work has a direct effect on the day to day success of the company.
