I started on July 13th 2020 with the most wonderful clients. Orientation was a joke and the person giving it did not know what a home healthcare aide was supposed to do. When I got in touch with the boss it was never addressed. I put in my notice July 18th because I did not want to leave the family with an aide but couldn't work for such a company. It has been a constant with the boss saying that they hadn't received my paperwork by email. I resorted to screenshoting it and emailing it. That didn't even work. When I got paid it was only for one week not three. That is because the person running it doesn't keep up with anything. She texted me by accident asking if I was going to meet the family on July 26th. I was confused and replied with no because i was already working for the family so why would i go meet them. Instead of her scrolling up through the text messages she just let it go and then stated I started work July 27th. So on top of only getting paid once a month, which I was ok with. They have shorted me over 1300 on my check and the check they did send wasn't even for the full work week. Of course when I tried to explain that I got met with her talking over me and not wanting to listen at all. Good luck getting a call back and when they do call you back it is a courtesy.

It's team based here. LVNs are not the charge nurses. Perfect for new grads because there's help all around for anybody who is unsure and has questions.

Half of the facility has beds for adults only, and the other half has beds for children only so the nursing stations are split by the adult nursing station and the pediatric nursing station.

When hired, the Respiratory Therapists experience working in the adult unit and in the pediatric unit.

Nurse applicants will be hired to work at the pediatric nursing station or the adult nursing station. Applicants must specify which unit they prefer to be hired for: pediatrics or adults.

CNAs, LVNS, RNs, and RTs self schedule. The managers are not dictating your schedule. You fill out the form for what days you want to work and what days you want off, and it's honored. It's not block schedule. 

12 hour shifts for everybody except for the CNA's in the adult unit. The CNA's in the adult unit work 8 hour shifts.

A typical day at work includes receiving the report for my assigned patients, since the patients are chronic patients, my focus assessments were different with each patient according to their condition. With the experience working here, I learned how to manage patients with ventilator dependence, with gastric tubes, TPN, IV medications, and patients with seizures. My co-workers were not culturally diverse. There was no 'hardest part of the job' because after such a long experience in that hospital, I learned to accustom to everything. Although if I must state a hardest part, it would be seeing the struggle of each patient. The most enjoyable part was to be able to work with kids, and see how they recognized me with happy expressions as I walked into their rooms for assessments.

A typical day at work would be described as a mixture of both hardwork and relaxed work times. We are one big family of healthcare workers who are always ready to help each other out in time of need. I learned several things during this clinical rotation. My main area of work was in the Pediatrics department. Many of my patients had a tracheostomy in place and were on various respiratory modalities. Mainly these included the ventilator and cool aerosol. The management staff are very cooperative and always ready to help out when needed and the same goes for co-workers. The most enjoyable part of the job is the good feeling of helping sick patients who are in need and doing service to them.

Loved the clients! Management was so awesome with working with my needs and schedules.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Hourly pay could be better but in the long run I loved working there

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It is like family! They treat you like your existence matters!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You go into your clients house and assist with daily activities and light housekeeping which includes laundry. Some shopping is included.

I enjoy working with the pediatric patients here and making a difference in their lives. However, the work environment could be challenging at times. Being the backbone of the unit and being disrespected by staff that don’t break a sweat not once their whole shift is crazy. “Leadership” dynamics sometimes created unnecessary stress, and management practices could benefit from improvement. Many staff members expressed feeling dissatisfied. Broken equipment often made daily tasks more difficult than they needed to be.

fast paced and lots of patient transfers in the morning. NOC shift can be stressful when short on nurses and CNAs. Management sucks, doesn't give incentives or bonuses. Hard work goes unappreciated here. Enables you to learn lots of skills here, GT/NGT placement, F/C placement, Tracheostomy care and wound care. No wound care nurse at night. Luckily some of the co workers here are tolerable and make the day go by easier. Some nurses are really helpful.

Not the best place, Great if you want to just "chill" and don't care about patient care. Some CNA's and nurses are mean to the pediatric patients. They need pediatric inservice on how to talk and engage kids. Most are just there for an easy job where you wont get fired even if you miss alot of work or dont do your job. Management has favorites , kids are left in soiled linen or soiled gowns and CNA's act bothered when you confront them.  80 % of the patients  don't have someone to advocate for them. If you work here please advocate for your patients, they're just KIDS!

Learned something new every week, had some fun co-workers, low stress environment the owner Seemed like he actually appreciated his staff. 
around the holidays was fun with all the beautiful decorations and Secret Santa. I really enjoyed working here! 

Some co-workers aren't that bad, but there are a lot who are two faced. The management is pretty bad, they don't really care about the CNA staff. I guarantee you will feel stressed working there. Most likely will mess up your work schedule
