Wages and Shifts:
With most of their shifts it's either 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am (12 hour TBI shifts) at the rate of $9.00 with no pay increase and no union. Every once in awhile they will offer regular shifts that consist of working with elderly non TBI participants which may pay $10-$11.20 but those shift are usually 4 to 6 hours with few days. Either way it goes your paycheck will be lucky to reach $300 a week after taxes. You'll end up at work 95% of the time yielding low pay checks each week and little time to care for yourself or your own family. There is no job advancement within this company.

Note: No direct Deposit. Each HHA and PCA must drop their time sheet off every Monday and pick up their check in person every Friday. If your time sheet isn't dropped off in person each week you will not get paid. They don't offer any convenience to their HHA's or PCA's. 

Note: A CNA will be demoted to a HHA.

Note: Most of their cases are difficult for low pay.

NO BENIFIT PACKAGE
No Dental, Medical, or 401K. NO Insurance at all other than high cost insurance offered from 1199. You won't get paid enough to even afford 1199 medical insurance. PCA doesn't qualify for any 1199 medical benefit. Anyone working TBI cases won't qualify. Heavy turn over rate at this company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The position is remote. Other than the convenience of working from home the company is extremely disorganized, does not provide adequate tools or leadership to allow one to effectively complete job duties. Meetings and interactions tend to be hostile with a lot of finger pointing and blatant lies being told.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The leadership is struggling to put a plan in place to become more electronically inclined so the hiring process changes each and everyday and if the branch managers are not onboard with the change she have the option on whether or not they want to follow whatever process has been implemented for the day.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is hostile often in disarray and the culture serves the lighter skinned toned employees and the office staff tend to be extremely rude and entitled 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Hourly updates on all the state numbers, no one is able to answer a question, several duties being assigned without training, 100s of emails and monitoring about 20 -25 chats a day

All Metro is a  company that is continually growing but find no necessity to increase salaries for employees.  For the past 12 years at AM there has been no salary increase for anyone. No urgency in hiring  employees to help with the increased work load as the company expands.  Employees find it difficult to participate in several benefit plans because its not affordable in accordance with their pay. A relaxed familiar friendly environment among the workers but stressful with increased work load.   Both employees and management get involved and enjoy the holiday festivities. The company is flexible  to  associates who have  emergencies, illnesses, family leave, etc.  At times allow employees to bring in their children when baby sitting is a problem. All Metro allows employees to work from home on occasions and allow  to work overtime.  Vacations time allowed are two weeks after 10 years your vacation only increase 5 extra days. That's all. Will not recommend to work at AM but if in need of a job to buy milk ok  but don't expect to pay the rent.

When I started, there was a very loose management structure that left new hires largely responsible for being self-directing.  This had its own set of trade-offs, but it made acclimating to internal policies and procedures exceedingly difficult.  Management began to become more organized and regimented, but that involved instituted certain management practices that took away autonomy from the professionals.  

The executives did not adequately communicate their appreciation to staff (and demonstrated this by failing to provide cost-of-living adjustments or meaningful fringe benefits, like health insurance), but my immediate supervisor was incredibly supportive.  I mostly left my position because I transitioned into a Masters program.  I've had my qualms with the place, but I ultimately enjoyed my time there.  The cohort and the office staff were fantastic, overall.

I have worked here for several years. My supervisor has always been very fair with our team. With their support, I have even been able to create my own position within the company, which focuses on my skills and the aspects of the day to day work that I enjoy.

The agency is always thinking of ways to improve, which helps in setting us apart from other companies.

It can be a very fast-paced environment and some of the clientele can be super challenging, but you do learn so much here that can be taken anywhere.

Many of my co-workers have worked here for a long time too, are approachable, extremely knowledgeable and very caring.

There are also great perks such as flexible schedules (very family friendly here if you are a working parent), supportive colleagues and good financial compensation.

Overall, I have found that the day to day issues people complain about have nothing to do with the agency, but the systems we work in and lack of resources for some difficult-to-serve clients.

While at All Metro Health care, My job was to assist the elderly. I took the job because it was a job that I can balance while in school. Since i'm graduating in May, there's no need for me to work there anymore. I now want to start getting my career together as a College graduate with two degrees. Of course i've worked other jobs (serving customers), but home health aide, i've been working the longest. A typical day at work is going to work at 9am, helping clients shower, give breakfast, tidy up house/apt, then give lunch at 12 or 1pm, dinner around 5pm and my clients are in bed by 7pm-8pm. In between times, i'm either tidying up the place or making small talk with client in the meantime. This job allowed me to sit and get my homework done. Now that school is  going to be over in 4 Months, only going to school two days a week, i'm ready for bigger and better things. I'm extremely caring, friendly, optimistic, have strong leadership skills, and believe i'd be a good candidate for your company.

During a typical day/week you need to be expected to be mandated over for another shift as other employees either called in or didn't even show up and replacement for that shift could not be found, so therefore you should expect to be mandated. Even if management knew ahead of time there was no communication. 

No benefits, no PTO. Overtime after 40 hours and paychecks were hard to read to make sure pay was correct.  

Management did not care about your own mental health after working 16 - 18 hours. I was often expected to continue with my own schedule after being mandated.  A forty to fifty hour work week would turn into 60 to 80 hours.  

The enjoyable parts of the job were the people, the flexible hours and the fact that you could be easily hired as they provide PCA/HHA training. 

As for management and CEO, I have never met any senior management or the CEO, or know their Mission Statement.

Stressful work environment everyday, every week. Work schedule is 40 hours a week but you usually work more then 40 without pay since we're salaried. High call-volume with patient's, patient's families, aides, insurances regarding issues and complaint's, being yelled out and cursed at by patient's. Enjoy working with my co-workers I have now, we all help each other out as much as we can as we are all very busy but manage to get along and work as a team especially during the most difficult times. Difficult part I would say finding the appropriate aides to go to work and cover the cases and making sure client's will be content with the aide. A lot of the aides come in with open availability but then change what and where and how far they are willing to work which makes it more difficult to cover the cases.

I was very excited to start working with this agency, until the day I was suppose to start. First of all, I haven't even finished orientation. I was feeling unsure of going to patients homes without finishing orienteion. I get my schedule and the day I get it they are already calling to change it. That isn't the problem. The problem was when I thought my schedule was all changed and set, I get a call asking why I wasn't at the clients house that I had been told that I wasn't going to. I haven't even finished orientation and they can't keep track of changes that they made to the schedule. Good luck to others that currently work here and to others thinking of working here. I don't recommend this agency to anyone. I wouldn't recommend this agency to those looking to find care for their loved ones. Be aware! 

Also, I have never heard management talk so poorly of their employees.

All Metro is a terrible place to work, If you are not ghetto and love drama they will make you feel very unwelcomed. The manager lets employees run the office there is no structure, respect or no training is given and you have to learn everything in one week of being there which you learned on your own. But be careful because if other employees don't like you, they will give you wrong information and you will get trouble by the manager. It is a very monkey see, monkey do work environment -- if one doesn't like you they all don't like you.   The manager runs the office with a very micro managed style.
Be careful not to make any mistakes or you will get cussed out by the manager. Employees love to gossip and backstabbed each others. NO PROFESSIONALISM.
I would not recommend anyone to work for this location.
