Coworkers and first line supervisors do care about the mental health of other employees. However, once you get a level up to unit management they are slimy and two-faced. In fairness, it is probably because they are under so much pressure from above to squeeze every penny out of their unit. I received NO training whatsoever (they told me the exact opposite would happen in my interviews), there was no clarity on expectations or roles except when someone was in trouble, management plays politics and CYA at the expense of the team and they speak out of both sides of their mouths when it comes to "making a safe space" for employees. How can it be a safe space if your employees are vastly over their capacity on the number of clients they are working with, receive minimum to no training and constant pressure to document after hours (if you ask, of course, management will say that is absolutely not acceptable but they know that the employees who do document on time 100% do this). The turnover is absolutely unacceptable for the fact that these employees should be forming relationships with vulnerable clients. The worst part is that they take advantage of caring individuals ready to give their all to those impacted by homelessness, addiction and mental health issues and then suck those employees dry. It's like they are trying to manufacture compassion fatigue. Of course, if you speak up that this is happening to you they will give you all the suggestions for things to do outside of work but then refuse to push back to the higher ups on the things that really matter like workload and pay. Basically, they gaslight you.

Oh, and the caring, motivated people they hire? After they've been chewed up and spit out, management will trash  talk these former model employees who couldn't perform the impossible.

I think the worst thing I know about was a unit manager trying to (subtly) encourage someone, in a protected class mind you, to quit. I don't know specific details but from my experience I believe it to be true.

They want to have their hearts in the right place and as an employee you do see some wonderful work for clients, but the almighty dollar is in their way and no one in management has the courage to stand up and say, "No" to the people at the top. So the industry's cycle continues and clients are greatly impacted.

When I first started there it was a good place to work, not the best but it was decent to go into work. Then the loss of a Nurse Manger happened when a new Clinical Manger came in. When that happened everything started going down hill. The lack of support from management is ridiculous. Management is NEVER in the building. Nurses are expected to work both ATU and CSU buildings because of the lack of support in staffing. Our voices were never heard. We were either always turned away or our feedback was always pushed to the side like it never mattered. HR appears like they care but never did nothing to fix the problem. The problem is management. This company needs people who are willing to support there staff, not people who diminish there staff weekly. Meeting were ALWAYS negative, never focused on the good the people did. Staff worked extra hard at being team members, supporting each other because there was never any support from management. We were always left to figure it out and if we went higher in the chain our jobs were threatened.All Health is only about making money. I DO NOT recommend working there. It will bring you down as a person and give you a bad taste of mental health. Kudos to those that have lasted.

First face the clt sees when they arrive. Provide friendly inviting atmosphere to clients. 
I have learned to be very open minded, patient and have learned that we can all learn something from each other.
Our manager is very encouraging and wants for us to grow and move forward. She is not a micromanager and is very trustworthy and approachable.
The Castle Rock team is an amazing team to work with and are some of the most compassionate people I know and have the pleasure of working with and learning from.
Hardest part of the job is to see people struggle and we know what they should do or can try to encourage them but ultimately it has to be their choice and they don't do it.
The most enjoyable part of this job is to see clts come in and smile when they see me and miss me when I'm gone. It's so wonderful to see their progress from beginning to end and know that we are able to make a difference in their day.

There are wonderful, compassionate staff at AllHealth Network-- from front desk to clinical staff to administration.  People like each other and the vibe is a good one at most locations.The company has turned around significantly for the better since new leadership was put in place in 2017. As a clinical business, it is true that the organization must be able to pay its bills and pay its people. I'm not sure why making money is criticized so much from other reviewers.  I definitely do not feel that is the focus for clinical staff. There are good people doing good work here and the financial decisions being made are helping to stabilize the organization.  Every single staff earned a bonus in 2018, which was great! There is room for improvement in staff compensation overall, but the benefits are good (Kaiser is really affordable for singles) with large amounts of PTO.

This company seems okay from the outside looking in. The Mental Health Industry can be a very rewarding field. The people I worked with were very passionate and caring with they're clients. That being said, the organization leaves a lot to be desired. The job/work Life balance is highly disproportionate coupled with the low pay rates and expensive and under performing benefits. If you have a family that you need to cover, look elsewhere or get private insurance. The management teams are mostly inadequate compared to previous companies I've worked for. There are a few bright spots but with the high turn-over most of the bright spots left for greener pastures. Overall my opinion is that this company needs a more progressive culture and business model. Just prior to my arrival, they had just converted to windows!

The clients are the best part of the job. Management is reactive at best. High turnover because they refuse to address management and pay issues and provide employees with direction, support and resources to do their jobs. Management is the issue but does not want to take responsibility and do the work so they delegate to everyone else. Supervisors are usually MIA and employees are left to "just handle it". Expect to get most communication by email, not an actual person, telling you how to do your job differently then you did last week. They try to mask issues with kind words and encouragement, however at the end of the day you are given a bigger work load and left with more questions than answers. High level management are only concerned about the budget and how to make more money NOT making sure our services are coordinated and easy for patients to navigate.

My typical day varied from individual/group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, teaching life building skills, community transitioning, intakes, discharges, treatment planning, behavioral screenings, risk assessments, to trainings when needed. I did my intership with this company and secured a job with them following my internship. My co-workers were team players and excellent communicators. The all around care for our clients was evident in interactions, documentation, and total care. The most enjoyable part of my job was working one on one with the clients and have to say there was not a part of my job that I would consider hard as each aspect was a learning experience and seen as such.

I have seen many wonderful, talented employees leave the agency over the past few months. The agency has been making decisions which negatively impact clients, staff and the community and this seems to be getting worse. Emphasis is placed on making money above all else and directives given by management are often in complete opposition to the alleged agency values. Employees often seem hesitant to express concerns due to the possibility of retaliation and it often did not feel like an emotionally safe place to work.  Programs recently have been cut resulting in a sense of lack of job security.

The training opportunities were wonderful, however there were limitations on applying and expanding on that information in my position. The team was small and tight knit but hard to break into for new people. Direct leadership was great at the jail and at AllHealth. The tier above that at AllHealth didn’t seem invested or aware of what we did… they didn’t prioritize integrating us into the larger team. AllHealth struggled to have the resources for us to service our clientele outside the jail because most of client acuity was too high for what the larger company provided.
