What is the best part of working at the company?
Altea’s leaders have a ton of experience. If I had a clinical question I knew where to turn. If there were operational needs I had multiple people who would support me. I joined feeling skeptical of working in this field but with the support I have had since I started it’s been nothing but positive. I also see there is a path for me to grow here! This company truly cares about the quality of care we deliver which is also very important to me. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I used to feel stressed working in this environment until I came to Altea. What has kept me happy and staying at Altea is the technology they offer that is truly like nothing I’ve experienced and I have been doing this for years. I’m 10x more efficient, spending less time documenting, and most importantly have the ability to deliver even better care with the tools I get to use. It’s allowed for a better work life balance and gives me more time back with my family. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture is great. We have monthly team meetings that provide CEUs and access to clinical support 24/7. I never feel I’m alone and the team around me is happy and fun to work with. I feel I’ve advanced in my knowledge base and learning since joining. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I start my days in review of our technology platform that guides me in my schedule and plan. This is usually a combination of new visits and follow up visits. I join my facility morning Clincal meeting  first thing. and then begin my rounds. I spend afternoons completing my charting. Allows some good flexibility.

Impressed with the continual support offered by management and colleagues alike. We truly work as a team and this dynamic is hard to come by. This company is unlike any other I’ve worked with and I can’t expressed how satisfied I am on every level. From the medical director to the lead practitioner, support is always available. The experience gained thus far has augmented my clinical skills exponentially. The most challenging part of this job is my commute and I must say it’s worth it to be at peace in a work environment and knowing that what I do makes a difference. No strict micromanagement, flexibility with scheduling, well organized company and offers constructive feedback. Makes me enjoy doing what I do more and more each day! Also worth mentioning, the EMR system is makes work-life balance a REALITY! We all know in this business, charting is a pain in the you know what, but I must say it’s cuts down traditional charting time significantly and the EMR system is proprietary to the company so it’s tailored to our specific needs based on feedback heard. Now, to top off everything mentioned, I would not be doing due diligence if I failed to mention the monthly bonus. The company follows a quality based model and your hard work gets recognized not just in “THANK YOUs”. I see great things for this company in the future and I’m excited to be apart of it. That’s my two cents :). 

I never imagined myself working in skilled nursing facilities however I am so grateful to have found ALTEA. Make no mistake, the days are hard:  the patient needs are tremendous, the facilities themselves (which are not operated by ALTEA) have many challenges. Feels great to advocate for and provide quality medical care to the SNF population (in many circumstances, an overlooked, marginalized group) and to feel the "health" of these facilities improve as a result of our presence/consistency/leadership. I love the ambitious mission of the organization - to revitalize the medical care that patients received in skilled facilities - and the overall energy of the organization is great: supportive, feels like I'm part of a team, overall eager to try new approaches to problems.  Our technology innovation is unbelievable and to provide input on the development while improving patient outcomes is very exciting. The expectations are high but fair. Love the autonomy/flexibility I have with my daily schedule. Corporate leadership includes doctors, and accordingly ALTEA is a very "provider focused" organization. 

I have thoroughly enjoyed my position as a rounding provider here at ALTEA healthcare.  As a nurse practitioner, I am not new to rounding in skilled nursing facilities. One of the best things about working for ALTEA Is the collaboration between providers. So many companies treat their nurse practitioners like " just another midlevel."  The provider team is collaborative respectful and truly works together as a team to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. Everyone's role Is valued and appreciated. In addition, the physicians are truly engaged with their patients at the bedside, not just coming in and out of the rooms,  writing notes. We are all equal partners in reducing hospitalization rates and providing the best care possible.  Another great value is the availability of the providers. As anyone in healthcare knows, the patients are sicker and sicker, and the staffing is less and less but the hospital discharges still come.  The availability of our team to troubleshoot together if there is a question has been limitless. 

I love working for Altea. It is the best job I have had in my career in healthcare thus far. The leaders of the company actually care about their employees and are willing to make changes to better support and retain their employees. They allow flexibility in making your own schedule so that you can enjoy your job without missing out on time with your family. Pay is very competitive with opportunity for RVU bonus as well as stock in the company. Benefits are comparable to other larger healthcare organizations. What really made me want to work for Altea is their mission to improve quality of care in the post-acute setting. I feel that they provide me with the resources needed to make a difference with this vulnerable population.  It can be challenging with politics in the facilities, changing of ownership of the facilities and the complexity of the patients we serve but it is also incredibly rewarding to see improvement in patient outcomes and quality measures within your facility. I also love my colleagues because we all support one another. 

As a Nurse Practitioner for over six years I can honestly say that Altea Healthcare is the best company I have ever worked for. Hard work is certainly recognized by the management team. There are a wonderful group of individuals at this company and I was provided with onboarding training and helped to launch my LTC buildings. If there are any questions that I have, my director of operations is always available to help. The hardest part of this job is working with multiple organizations including the company that owns the nursing homes and trying to meet everyone's needs. The most enjoyable part of the job is of course getting to serve the residents in the LTC facilities but also using the wonderful charting system Aarista as this significantly reduces the amount of charting time, allowing me to focus more on patient care and improving outcomes. 

Altea uses the unique electronic medical record Aarista, which makes skilled nursing facility care much more efficient and and rewarding.  I have worked in the skilled nursing facilities for 15 years, and always imagined working with an EMR designed specifically for the SNF setting.  Because it was developed specifically for this environment, it directs my advanced practitioners and myself to exactly who needs to be seen, which makes my health care more impactful, safer, and rewarding.  Because Aarista is such a quantum leap in SNF care, Altea is able to be selective in who it hires, so I work with an excellent team of APC's who hold me accountable to guiding their self-learning and navigating SNF policies and (let's face it) politics.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to find Altea HC near the ground floor.

I was not actively pursuing employment when I was contacted by their recruiter. She spoke so highly of the company, I thought this has to be some kind of scam. I wound up interviewing a few days later and everything just seemed too good to be true. Me being the jaded, ER nurse wanted to see firsthand what a typical day would be like. They had no problem with it, they sent me to the nearest facility and I was able to shadow  a provider. I actually signed my contract later that day. I am so excited to work for this company because they offer an amazing  support system as well as autonomy. I thought job satisfaction was a myth but it actually does exist! They honestly care about their employees. They are very focused on improving patient outcomes versus seeing these people as just numbers, which is SO REFRESHING. I definitely recommend Altea for employment as well as being on the receiving end of their patient care team. 

A typical day of work for me consists of some managerial tasks and some patient care tasks. I have a very reasonable control of my schedule and have a really incredible work life balance for a job as a physician. I can definitely say that none of my other physician friends have this balance. The management of this company is honest and straightforward, but always accessible when I need something. They value communication and have never let me down whenever I have asked them for something. The company rewards you with recognition and financially for doing a great job, and I have continued to grow and get more responsibility as I have proven myself.  Can easily say this is the best job that I have ever had and I look forward to growing at this company. 

Altea is bringing hospital level care and technology to post acute care medicine. I feel with their EMR software I can feel confident knowing who my sickest patients are that day and charting has never been easier. I get to spend more time in patient rooms and have much better job satisfaction as a result. 

The buildings can be variable and challenging at first but Altea management has plenty of support for my buildings when issues arise allowing me to focus on patient care. 

This role is perfect for those who can manage their own time efficiently and who are looking for more autonomy in how they provide patient care than a clinic job allows. 
To anyone who has worked in a hospital as a shift worker there really is no comparison to the work life balance as a provider for Altea while still making as meaningful an impact on the lives of our patients.
