It was my hope to be able to grow and gain some interesting skills. It was a very, very frustrating experience. The support you should be able to have per them is non existent. I almost always had no support in the field. The equipment was faulty and failed continuously. The alleged support at the sites to assist with log in for the EMR reviews did not come from the company. Rather, they hoped you would find an office manager there who would take time from their assigned day to tutor you on the particulars of the EMR system in use there.The IT fellas tried to be helpful but there were so many system wide problems they did their best but there were constant work arounds and these eat your time to complete your site reviews and then ALSO once home to do the encrypted uploads. Hours and hours of un- paid time. The biggest problem however was the person who was supposed to give you your daily list of sites. It appeared this was a second or third job and YOU were the inconvenience of their day. Then, the pay was almost never what you expected. It was a fight all the time, other people get credit for your work or they just loose the data you sent in. I always had a personal account of the sites and # or reviews, but it would not match up. I will say ONE good thing: I am very grateful for my after hours guardian angel who would call me back and go step by step with me until we could figure out what was going on and what to do about it. This lady is the only reason I got through the contract!

I was hired as a part-time remote coder in January. The pay is per chart...but what they didn't tell you is the charts could be hundreds of pages long. They once sent me a chart that was 1200 pages long and I sent it back! You start your day waiting for charts, sometimes not given an assignment until late morning. This doesn't work for someone that has other sources of income (another part time job to get to). Very frustrating. Then you start your charts and work your required hours, if they don't in the middle take the charts away! If I was given 20 charts and only finished 15, I would like to continue the next day before more assignments were given. Wrong! Everything is taken away at any given time with no warning or any indication that more was on it's way. Also the communication is bad. I had a technical problem and after a week still did not hear from anyone. I finally fixed the problem myself but lost a weeks pay! I sent numerous email to advocates and never was answered. As if I didn't exist out in cyberspace. Now as of August they say no charts for the month and no guarantee that they will need me at all in September. In July they offered me a full time job. Said they were giving me first dibs at it because I already worked for them. So I applied, and heard nothing, then August came and was told I wasn't needed. Very strange company. I don't think they are well organized at least on the remote side of things. They are also posted on several sites looking for full time coders, which doesn't make sense if the coders they have they can't keep busy!!!!! I do no recommend this company as a reliable source of income.

Typical day of work consist of taking parts of a medical record and scanning it into laptop, kindergarten work. Sometimes it becomes overwhelming when people set you up to fail or you do it everyday. Steer clear of the guy that wants to text you inappropriately after working hours, especially if you're a guy. I've learned that you have to get what you need and get out of companies like this, they do not care about you. Management? What management? Too many chiefs and not enough indians..Everyone that answers the phone is a manager, lol. My co-workers (POS) for the most part was the most enjoyable experience and hopefully they move on and do well. Hardest part of the job was putting up with the issues stemming from upper management that trickled to the little people like us, I mean do we really need a goto meeting explaining how to use a scanner? Also I dressed very professional to every office and made a memorable impression for this company, I saw others dressed very unprofessional and smelly and it made this company look horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they change names AGAIN. All in all, if you work here for a temp position or need a quick paycheck then get out of it what you need, this is not a job for someone trying to start a career. But be warned they will use you. This company lacks bearing , tact and morale. This is not a cohesive organization.

I was employed with the company through a temp agency from July, 2015- Oct. 2015. Since you are not working directly for "Altegra" they treat you like you are garbage. The turn over is crazy bad. When I started there was a group of 40+ ppl, but as first month went by more then half quit. The team leaders are very unorganized and no one knows anything when you have a question concerning helping the members. You are  basically being looked at as a "number" not a person. Your job is meet your production numbers before the month is out, if not they will take action upon you. The worst is no one explained that it was "out-bound" calls through an automatic dialing service. So alot of time members complained that they were suppose to be taken off the list, but they never were. Weekly meetings were conducted with the Miami office through the phone and most of the times they left us more confused and felt like it was a waste of time. Alot of times I was in trouble with management because members sometimes talked with you for almost an hour. These members are seniors who alot of times have no one and I had to treat them as such just to please the "boss". The advocate position is under paid and not worth any one time.

This is my first time as a field reviewer. I was given more than 200 pages to read as my training, most of which had nothing to to with learning the job I was to perform. 
Since then, the training has been inadequate. Document recognition training doesn't cover all documents they want you to recognize. The thing is you get points deducted for mistakes and when you reach 8 points they fire you. How do they expect a great job out of someone if they haven't trained them properly?
On my first job, some problems arose. I called my advocate, the one that says communication is key...she didn't answer. I left a message...she didn't get back to me. I've emailed...still waiting. I've run down the list of numbers to call...no one picks up the phone.
I'm beginning to wonder if this is a company run out of someone's garage.
I've learned more about how to do my job from the IT guy than I have the training department.
I've put too much time, energy and stress into this job already and I've only partially completed one job. I'm terrified of the 2 I have coming up because I don't know what I'm doing. That makes me and them look bad not to mention the poor doctors office whose records I'm retrieving.

I can't seem to understand this place. I left a job that was in all ways horrible and when I came here I thought it was great. That was until I was here long enough (3 montgs) to see its full of nonsense. There's no real growth in the company no matter how qualified you are or good. The only people that get promotions have some kind of relationship with whoever hiried them. The employees are very disrespectful, ill mannered and uneducated on what their supposed to do. sometimes you have to remind yourself that you're at work so you don't tell them how you really feel. Management shows favoritism and make you feel useless before acknowledging all of your hard work. Its draining emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The customer base is complicated. We work enough functions for 2 or 3 departments and basically get paid for one. Communication is horrible overall and even in the same department. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Customer focused... HA! Not here

I ended up spending a lot of my own time preparing / orienting to the job and upon first assignment I learned that with the per chart rate method of payment that they offer you don't even make minimum wage. I was sent out to collect data on 60 records at a local MD office. The data to be collected spanned a 2 year period of time and the items to be collected were extensive. Every chart on my list had numerous items (list of at least 15) that needed audited for and uploaded and each chart took at least 30 minutes to review and scan. So top reimbursement was about $8.00 per hour. In an 8 hour day I made $50. When was the last time you made $8 an hour as an RN. Don't waste your time on this position. To get qualified for the position you have to expend a lot of your own time orienting, drug testing, etc and you are not reimbursed equitably at all. Then just to stop working you have to shlep their equipment back to a FedEx office to send it all back. There is no reimbursement for a lot of the time that you spend on this position. This was a big disappointment.

Work directly with managment and imaging department with a call center inviroment with MSP services on a day-to-day operations  worked with mangament on cutting expenses. Support production and training enviroment lead and manage multiple projects at the same time and meet project deadlines . Work directly with clients and provider offices and also schedule travel for HCC Coders and Medical Record technicians when needed depending on demografic locations accountable for projects from start to finsh. 

Enjoy working with  Clients and call center team and addressing challanging issues that occure on a daily basis everyday is differnt.  I have learned alot of valuable management skills and leadership skills from upper management and  assist in with training new staff and QA our callcenter department always finding ways to keep staff motivated and productive to meet department goals.

My typical work day starts at 5:30 a.m.. I receive a list of clients that I am assigned to and start making my calls to capture and receive documents that are need to comply with state mandated reports.  I verify doctors and patients, communicate by phone, fax and email while maintaing HIPPA regulations.  I assigned medical record technicians to go to office to capture charts all across the United States.  The office is always busy due to deadlines that we have to meet in order to deliver the proper reports to our clients.  Sometimes retrieving these documents would take longer than expected due to office not having time to send in the documents and or not having time to allow someone to come in to retrieve them.  The most enjoyable part of this job is the people that I work with.  We are a team that supports on another and know that without everyone working together we will not meet our goals.
