when you clock in its pretty nice and quick easy to get started. There is also an morning meeting explain whats going on and what needs to be the main focus for the day. Breaks are balanced and great for recuperating. Big on safety so it makes the environment great to work in. 
- What i believed I've learned- I have learned a lot in the past few months regarding being a BMO from change overs to changing the weights of the bottles. the job has a lot of un specified job requirements that you aren't told until you start working there. job isn't worth 22.50 i would have asked for 24.00 no only do you have to keep the machine running but you are fully responsible for running the line and making sure its running. but considering the maintenances doesn't like to fix anything (leak detectors, jugs, blow pins, electrical issues, ect) its very difficult to keep up with it all so efficiency is definitely something that turns into a prime skill that you need to develop.
-management- I have a great respect for my supervisor. one of my favorite people. everyday i would come in to the office before the shift ended and discuss things that i need to work on and talk about what issues i had working. a lot of the time we saw eye to eye with. Sometimes it turned into a coaching and helped me learn a lot and do my job better then i previously was. He was very enthusiastic and motivating especially sense maintenance didnt like to fix anything.  the plant supervisor would have us doing outrageous things to keep things moving and adding more to our work load.  including having us run a machine what wasn't fully repaired that was dumping and wasting more plastic then any other machine. explaining anything to him was difficult at times. he only looked at numbers but not the issues that were at hand. there was also no maintenance supervisor so maintenance didnt have to do much and they would report directly to him and do nothing else. i have so many issues as to where maintenance has not fixed the issue and made it worse which affects your numbers and never completing or fixing a job that is needed for the machine to get fixed. 
-Work place culture- everyone is extremely nice and respectful. they also celebrate employee appreciation day which is super nice and they really make you feel safe with too. 
-Hardest part part of the job-dealing with maintenance a lot of the time you as a BMO you had to fix issues. technically you were considered as assistant 
 maintenance. until you mess it up or you break it. but when you ask them for help they wont come by and fix the issues. i had a leak detector issues one day and they  basically told me that leak detector is a toy and adjusted it to where all the bottles passed even one with a gaping hole. eventually i was forced to ignore it because of the amount of bottles failing with ended up me getting talked to by the plant manager and the QC manager at the sometime. took them awhile to understand as to why i was upset because as they were questioning me as in why i didnt say anything about it. when i did say something and brought it up to the right people i was called crazy and i dont know what I'm talking about and that its fine dont worry about it.  but then when the QC manager realizes I'm automatically looked at as if i did something wrong. i told the right people i let maintenance know i and nothing happened until t the higher ups got involved and forced them to and told me to shut the machine down when that happens. but my issue with that is if i did that then my numbers would bet affected sense maintenance didnt want to fix the 5th head on the machine and then the plant supervisor gets mad because we aren't hitting numbers where we need to. That situation got so bad someone walked out because of how maintenance was doing things 
- most enjoyable part of my job- the people were amazing  the celebrations were amazing the time and energy that they try to put into understanding is great. 

Started out very good with time to learn the process. One week later my trainer started pushing me to work even faster than I was suppose to. Constant pressure. Trained to take unsafe movements like ducking under metal lines that could possible cause serious injury instead of crossing over the ladder that would keep the injury from happening. While being coerced to make faster replenishing of machine supplies I was hit twice in the head by the machine which hurt my neck. I was told if I reported it no one would recieve a free safety meal that was paid for by the company and that I would be the one that would be responsible for causing them not to recieve that meal which was a nice expensive meal. That same week my trainer cut her finger to the bone at the container making former and had to leave immediately to go to the hospital. She reported it as accident that happened in the parking offter after she had gotten off work so it wouldn't count as an on the job injury. Even though she was only half way through her shift. She told the hospital it was done off the business property when it clearly didn't. The manager went along with the false report even though he was there to see the accident happen. Seems that the only accident that happens on the job is to the ones that are being pressured enough to make a mistake (and question the fact that the company was forcing employees to skipp   breaks and not get paid for the time. I made a mistake with a forklift that the forks were not all the way to the ground and I was accused to endangering other employees even though employees were not around anywhere close. At least I didn't nearly cut my finger off and maming myself and then lie about ir along with my supporting plant manager. Needless to say I was the one let go and the trainer and the plant manager are still there. Not only that but I was told that just when a new trainy was close to becoming full time they were let go for not being able to keep up with the work that clearly meant to be operated with two employess safely. Like when they were only  weeks away from becoming permenant full time. Don't work for this company

honestly my best work experience was in the thomasville branch, my first year was rough we ran 7 days a week almost all year little time off. management was very laid back. a typical day for me was com in 630am start up meeting was at 7am 715 we switch out with 3rd shift operators we had 3 operators to run 11 machines which included grinders over head and downstream equipment. as an operator my job was to continue running check and maintain weights on multiple lines fix any problems on the packing floor that were downstream on my machines fix any quality problems with the bottles 9am was first break after my break i relived my fellow op. and watched his lines as well as my own. i would need to assist warehouse with their job if they fell behind. my day would often run over to second shift covering for a op. who called out, we would run mon through fri. full production, i was to cover both sat and sun production mainly with a second op in the building. it was up to us to keep the factory running smoothly handle any breakdowns load product on trucks as well as put up finished product. on top of my normal duties i also reported to the plant manager to do in house product count, audits on machines, special projects, and our epa audit. the pace of work was frantic almost crazy we had to fix problems constantly on the packing floor leaving our machines un attended which lead to frequent jams which we would have to clean up and continue on with production we also did frequent change overs while running other machines. our days were almost the the same to where we knew what to expect before we walked into the building. there was a lot of disrespect toward the ops. adding additional pressure onto the job. over all i'm amazed we did as well as what we did on a daily basis, it took alot to bite your lip or walk out but i was dedicated to my job and no matter how stressful it was it was one of the best learning experiences i've ever had.

No matter what position you are in with CCC, you are required to wear multiple hats. If you are in Management at the plant level and are not considered a favorite, you are asked to work with basically no support or the tools needed to accomplish your responsibilities successfully. Hours are long, stress is high. Upper Management and plant management employees change with the drop of a hat and when new management comes in, everything changes so nothing becomes consistent. Employees tend to not follow the changes because newly introduced programs, initiatives and Managers are like revolving doors. Regional Management and higher have no clue in the day to day operations of a plant and are also not consistent in the way they treat their Management teams. Some Managers get everything they need to succeed and others are left to drown. Reward and recognition programs are inconsistent. Most Hourly Employees work very hard and are dedicated, but are threatened they will lose their jobs if they choose their family over working 7 days a week, sometimes 12 hours a day. Employees are told that they do not deserve recognition for being safe, having quality bottles and for engagement for the newest initiative they throw at the plant. Some Plant Managers get away with treating their employees with no dignity and no respect. The Company itself is not professional and believes what regional and plant managers say without full investigation. As hard as CCC tries to improve their quality, safety, Customer Service and engagement of their Employees, they have a long way to go.

•SAFETY : Absolutely no proper training in safety aspects at all. 
They will put a piece of paper in front of you and tell you to sign it and that is all your “training”.
You will be disciplined on any matter of safety even if you do not know it, let it be IMPROPER SUSPENSION (no proper paperwork prior to suspension), Final warning or TERMINATION.

If you have any kind of breathing complications I would highly advise against working here due to the amount of plastic fumes in the facility.

•MANAGEMENT : Here is a perfect display of favoritism. 
Plant manager only shows up half the time if that. There is absolutely no HR in the facility. If you need any help at all that requires HR you need to message Via Text or Email and hope you receive a response (I never received a response). 
Team leads do not receive proper training at all and favoritism takes place among them as well. 

•COWORKERS: Everyone has an attitude of selfishness and only have the intentions of helping themselves and doing things to benefit their person. Operators will not help in any matter. People are constantly confused as to who’s job is who’s and what responsibilities they have.

•JOB TRAINING: There will be no proper training. For the material handlers/packaging associates you will receive maybe 10 minutes of training and then left alone with not knowing if you’ll receive a break or not. 

Operators, do not know what they are doing due to lack of TRAINING and the turnover rate.

Quality: No training at all.

Pay is on the lower end for some jobs. Paid Biweekly if full time. 



I worked in the now closed Omaha accounting office.  It was a family atmosphere with team building, fun events throughout the year and casual attire.  The personnel at the plants are generally helpful and friendly.  The management at corporate HQ in Atlanta has some good people who care about the company but upper management seems to be disconnected from the needs of the employees and the company.  They promoted Lean Manufacturing but in practice, it is Anorexic Manufacturing.  They reduced the number of employees so far that several plant managers and maintenance managers have trouble taking time off because they always have to cover for employees that are sick, quit or on vacation.  I'm afraid the CFO and Controller that were newly hired for the task of closing the Omaha office had little understanding of the business as a whole and the amount of work required. They came in making sweeping changes without understanding the consequences.  A current employee informed me that the CFO has already left the company which means he was there for perhaps a year.  To me, that raises a red flag.

I think there are a lot of good people in this company and depending on where you work, it can be a rewarding place to work but it's not consistent across the company.

The Lindon facility was not a great experience.

Constant staff shortage and an absurd turnover rate put constant pressure on daily operation.
The on-the-job training consisted primarily of tribal knowledge passed along by coworkers with no documented processes to operate the various equipment used by the production team.
The machines and equipment were also unreliable and lacked proper upkeep. I was told that even the production line setups were poorly designed. For example, the water cooling tower being exposed to the outside environment introducing particulates into the machine coolant system.
Distracting conveyor/machine jams were an issue from the day I began until the day I left. Also many other inconveniences that compound into an overwhelming mess.
The nature of the environment is also oppressive. Loud, hot in the summer, and standing becomes physically demanding.

I learned a lot there through my experiences and the stress tempered my character. I hoped the poor operation could be turned around, but that was foolish. I'm still baffled as to how that facility became the wreck it is.

Was there almost two years with promises of a good raise across the board for us maintenance guys. Never happened and was promised weekends off time and time again. Horrible management they are all clueless as to what their jobs are. They want you to respect them while they walk all over you. You stay late to keep things running and they don’t appreciate it. They manipulate you and blackmail you to get what they want from you. They have no leadership skills no sense of responsibility they do not act with dignity or respect. They lack communication skills and everything is a cluster and very unorganized every single day. If you want lies and treated poorly for the skills you bring then this is the place for you. They change their “rules” and they don’t apply to management nor do they let you know that they change said “rules”. If you have a good skill set for maintenance they will take advantage of you and will not appreciate anything extra you put in. They do not hold anyone accountable for anything but a point system. They pick and choose favorites with horrible work ethic and do not care to lose the hard workers.

No one at the company knows anything. They hire one person that doesn't know anything and have that person to train someone they just hired. Their traing is an absolute joke because it's non existent. They assume because you held that title before that you should know what you're doing. But just because you held that title before doesn't mean you know their process. Everything is made up as you go. Each plant has it's on processes, and sop's. And I guess they forgot that the "S" in SOP stands for Standard. Every company has a universal process and procedure. Regardless if the plant is in North Dakota or Georgia. Not Altium Packaging. They will have you being the logistics manager, Safety manager, R&D, and maintenance but only want to compensate you for one role. And remind you at the time of hiring they said they were looking for a supervisor positon which is what you applied for in the first place. They dont give bonuses and it seems like all they know is how to overwork and under pay their staff. Definitely not a traditionally ran company and they never will be. If offered a position here in the famous quote from Disney's "Lion King". "Run, run away Simba. And never return" lol.

A typical day at Altium can be stressful. There’s no room for growth. I took time out to study my machine and figured out different problems that made the machine run bad but whenever I pointed them out to maintenance or management I was told I complained too much. They expected us to work through the issue instead of having it fixed because the machine running like bad was the norm. Once they finally made the changes I suggested the machine ran better but they still said I complained too much because I caused other people to have to do their job! Management only cared about themselves or getting the product out. They would change the schedule in a days notice and pretty much force you to work it. For example, they’d make Saturday mandatory but if they weren’t satisfied with the numbers from Saturday they’d make Sunday mandatory and expect us to drop everything and come to work like we don’t have families or personal lives. The hardest part about the job is dealing with supervisors/managers and the best part of the job is getting paid even it’s not that much.
