Amazon Locker

Thought this would be a perfect job as I needed flexible schedule, but instead I found myself fighting other employees to get more than a single 4 hour shift per week. You will compete with everyone else (around 10-15 people or more) at your location for 3 to 8 shifts at a time have to be on the scheduling app EXACTLY AT 6:15 and hope you can click the buttons fast enough to get hours before everyone else does. If you don't work at least one shift a week, you will be terminated. 

Work culture was awful from day one, the site manager said how much they loved to train employees. However, they didn't explain or teach much other than how to log in and open up the mobile lockers/desk. So many things were not explained, or left out, to the point that I was doing so much more work and sometimes ending up with lines of customers while I tried to figure out various tasks and procedures that were not part of the original training, or were very poorly explained. I did not feel that my questions about various tasks were welcome, either.

The worst was management's attitude, Amazon does not make any effort or have any patience with questions, or provide help with situations that may arise while working --despite emphasizing that they are easy to work for, SO inclusive of everyone, and supposedly a welcoming environment to work in. 

The regional manager went out of their way to mock my disability to other leaders (I am on the spectrum but have never had any problems with upper management, customers or coworkers at previous positions and my 'differences' are not very noticeable.)

My teammates are awesome and my manager even more. It feels like family, which makes you even happier doing or going to work. Unfortunately, not enough hours because it’s not a warehouse (which are open 24/7 ). You can get 12-16  hours if lucky. Pay is not right. Customer service should earn wayyy more for the job we perform. I have an amazing manager but you know the BIG Manager Doesn’t know what he’s doing or taking about. ( That’s nothing new at Amazon ). Other than that, everything is good. We like to work with each other and laugh. That’s my experience, but others can be worse (depending on site, place, management, etc. ). I recommend this job if you’re retired or attending college/ school. Or someone with a part time already. The good thing is that YOU CAN PICK YOUR SHIFTS. 

Initially this job was great to work for and an excellent position for anyone who is self motivated with open availability looking to make decent part-time income.

Managers are always a phone call away if needed and answer any questions you might have promptly.

I took this job as a ways to make ends meet in between jobs. It started out ok but late,y has been busy and you’re overworked, underpaid and understaffed. Today I had a long line of returns with no help. It is an ok job but be prepared to struggle to get shifts (shift bid) and receive little to no assistance from management. Barely any benefits and the only positive is the payment increase for in demand shifts. All in all if you need a part time job I say go for it but you can probably find better. 

Fexible schedule part-time job  — the hours really fluctuate depending on the number of employees who are picking up shifts each week.  If you like staying physically active in a customer service role then  this job  could be fun, you are primarily engaging with customers and managing packages.  Good to combine with one or multiple other work opportunities.  Co-workers could be good or bad, usually a mix of both.  This  job is easy to get and easy to leave.  

Easiest job I've ever had. It's great to job to pick up if you wanna make some extra money and you can choose your own hours.

Pros: 
- the majority of the job is scanning packages.
- rarely gets busy but can vary
- coworkers are friendly
- shift leads supply snacks and beverages

Cons: 
- short shifts (4 hours)
- can be difficult picking up shifts as its first come, first serve
- can feel super monotonous at times
- easy to get bored when its not busy as theres nothing to do

Job with lots of multitasking. Almost always you are working alone or with one other employee so you need to be a good communicator and manage your time well to complete all of your tasks before your shift ends. Flexible scheduling, good job for college students, shifts were short (most of mine were only 4 hour shifts)

It was alright working there but there were times where you’re alone for an hour or so. During that time it’s a bit overwhelming as sometimes the person before you didn’t build any boxes or brought the closed boxes to the back. If you don’t pick up a shift each week you get a point and it’s very difficult to get a shift because they go quick. The points start to pile up quick and then you could be let go.

I worked as a seasonal employee during the holidays and I have no complaints. Reasonable hours and decent pay. Can be a little stressful and hectic with lots of package returns and periods of time where you're rushing to put away packages but the managers and your fellow coworkers will help you. 


Let me just tell you this job is way easier than the Amazon warehouses. My manager at my location is super chill, and coworkers are friendly. It can get a bit heavy when some coworkers don’t do their part and don’t help you set up or close boxes. Hours are good but could be better I manage to at least do 16 hours a week. Overall a chill place to work at
