Management is excellent. If you have the experience to work in a medical office and know how to follow guidelines placed by offices and organizations then this just might be what you are looking for in a work from home job. Basically you bring the front desk from a medical office to your home. How successful you are is going to be based on YOU. I take 100+ calls a day, depending on the day. I maintain composure and positivity during each call keeping in mind that the person on the other line is sick or scared or just having a bad day (and maybe all of the above). I am that first point of contact. I do what is needed within the guidelines provided to me to assist with the best of my ability and move on to the next call until it's time to end my shift. My supervisor provides assistance when I need it. My hours are what I need. My benefits are what I wanted. There is no office drama to deal with. I can have lunch right in my kitchen. I don't have to drive. It's peaceful, really. I've been with this company since 2020. I've left this company thinking I was going to retire. Then I returned to this company because I simply missed working with one of the best jobs I have had while doing something that I have loved doing all of my medical career which is simply helping people. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I liked working for the company because it pays well and has great benefits. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Constantly chaning processes, rules, with little to no communication. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The was a huge lack of communication. They made it hard for my team and I to communicate by deleting our group chat. Then they would change something without giving us notice but send us messages detailing  the mistakes we made although we were just doing what we were taught initially. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day for me was getting consistent calls. Monday was the busiest and more stressful day because the phones ring back to back. You only get 30 seconds between each call to document and prepare for the next call so there's a lot of pressure. But once you get past Monday, the rest of the week is less stressful.

This was the worst job I’ve ever had. Training was horrible, only 1 week. You’re on 8 diff clients at one time. Calls are back to back! Management is horrible. There’s hardly anyone to help you when you need it, and when you do extensive reaching out you receive straight attitude! Only lasted 3 months. The patients are extremely rude and entitled. Don’t even get me started about the clients. There’s no type of organization. Started a new system, only after being there for 2 months(literally had just about got everything down pack) trained for 1 day. It was so many errors that after 4 days we had to convert back to the old system. The whole job is a joke. 

Since day 1, AHC has been more than gracious, and accommodating. Training is good but you really don't get the grasp of everything 100% until you actually take calls yourself. As long as you stick to guidelines & protocols, and show up on time, be a team player, you will learn a tremendous amount and go far within the company and pay rate. Benefits are pretty good. I've never felt actual love and loyalty for a job or company the way I do at AHC. My job itself has held me together through some rough personal times and that just reflects the amazing management, and team support I've been blessed with and to be apart of. 

Hiring is quick.  Equipment cost are on your own with specific purchases required by the company for headsets.  
The company only keeps accounts for short term so expect to be on an account to day but possibly taken off if the company looses it and abruptly placed on a new account that may not be similar to the old but you will be expected to take live call immediately after moments of self led training. Mistakes are held against you as you train.  If there are no available accounts to place you on when the company loses an account they will let you go.  Rehire could be possible if the company picks up additional accounts in the future. 

I have been employed with American Health Connection for 5 1/12 years. This establishment has been such a pleasure working for.  Truly one of the best companies. Work schedules are flexible. I love that I have control and freedom with working remotely. I enjoy being given a job whereas I am able to make the best decision for the Customers when they are seeking assistance.
American Health Connection allows me to grow with the company along with my Home Life. 
Most of all what pleases me, are my My Managers. They are the best Leaders and Coaches. The Managers communicate and give great feedback on a daily basis. They recognize your efforts, hard work, and dedication.
I can really say I have enjoyed my employment with this organization.

I was skeptical about this work from home job, I had tried a few due to losing my job during covid and not one of them were suitable for me.  I loved it from the first day.  Management is always available for assistance when needed on calls and the days are really busy which helps the day move quickly.  Expect to answer at least 100 calls per day on most accounts.  They are only hiring for full time positions and you will work at least one weekend every 4-6 weeks so know that ahead of time and they do track when you are absent. Some days can be stressful but overall its a very easy going position

Best part is working from home. And the pay is decent

In my experience you’re overworked. You take a lot of calls and deal with a lot of situations that you’re not trained for. And when you ask for help sometimes no one responds.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I don’t have a work/home life balance working here. They lied to me about the hours I was going to work and when asked to change, nothing was done to change my situation.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and busy. I got very burnt out working at this company.

I log in, I answer my calls, I take care of patients and do my best to make their day just a little bit better. I don't understand what the negative reviews are about at all. All of the tools that you need to succeed are right there and there is continuous training and guidance to make sure that you are always doing the best, however if you don't study your guidelines, or treat this as something other than a REAL job, you won't make it. The management is excellent. You work from home as an actual employee. The only one that can set you up for failure is yourself. Be the best person that you can be just like you would at a job in office and you will do just fine. 

Poor management and poor training. I was only trained for 2 days and thrown out there on my own. They tell you if you have any questions reach out to management, when you do they never respond; however they're ready to give you all the negative things   or wrong things you've done with no SUPPORT. They don't support their employees at ALL and continue to add more and more work daily without a pay increase or adequate training. Criticize you for everything and never give you any positive feedback. I'm pretty sure there's a better company than this one and I wouldn't recommend anyone. The pay should be more for all the things you have to endure!!
