Good place for a first job, but not a long term workplace.
No flexible remote work options. Offers strict hybrid more work, but mandatory to be in the office during the large part of the week.

Typical day at work involves work with project stakeholders, management and organization collaborating vendors.

The culture is one for all, all for none.
Most organization departments are segregated and the organization is still trying to work on bringing all under one AHA.

The technology stacks are complex and we use too many technologies supporting various projects, which are led by different departments and sub-organizations.
Great to learn the basics and catch on many different technologies quickly, but then you're stuck and have to move-on to a different place to advance your career.

-Read updates on the heath care industry related to American Hospital Association and organizations affiliated with the company.
-Calling vendors to sell the marketing Website we will be launching.
-Setting follow ups, creating leads.
-Have meeting everyday at the end of the day to go over accomplishments for the day and Goals for the following day sharing  strategies and new ideas to achieve better results.
-I definitely got better with creating and contributing the ideas towards the marketing project. 
-Management is constantly involved in supporting the new ideas and with implementation.
-Co-workers are team players, even though we work in a Sales environment, all of them help each other out to stay on the same page.
-The only challenging part of the Job is deadlines are too close, with very less time, but i love challenges which is why i have always been in sales.
-The best part of the job is great staff to work with. Makes a huge difference

I arrived early everyday and would update members accounts and basic information using Microsoft Excel and a CRM database. 

I learned that not all management are open to new and innovative ideas and take the work temp a bit too much to heart in believing that's what a person's worth is to the fullest extent. 

The workplace environment was very friendly, helpful and understanding due to the employees that worked there. 

The hardest part of the job was dealing with management as they were very inconsistent with their words and actions to me. 

The most enjoyable were the employees and location of the job as it was joy coming there and also I loved the workload as I felt I was making something on a difference.

The best part of working at this company is the people and the culture of collaboration. I consistently feel supported by teammates who are willing to share knowledge, step in when challenges arise, and work toward solutions together. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part can be balancing multiple high-priority initiatives at once, especially when timelines shift or urgent needs arise.

A result driven, IT professional with over 10 years of industry experience with high analytical and strong collaborative skills and excellent attention to details. Work independently and as a member of the team in the development, delivery, administration, support, sustainment, modernization and remediation of IT systems and services. Uses wide-ranging knowledge of strategies and techniques for providing customer support in different environments and at all levels of an organization. responsible for planning, analyzing, developing, integrating, implementing, documenting, and managing network systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and video and for Information Technology (IT) policy and planning.

Seven years at the AHA as a trusted advisor for both Healthcare & Vendor Executives, was one of the most educational experiences I’ve had. As a spoke-person for the “Transformation of Healthcare”, an AHA CEO Member initiative, I engaged & developed close relationships with CIOs, CCOs, CFOs, CHROs, CMIOs, CNOs & other Executives.

As a trusted advisor on issues for these Executives, I learned of and identified solutions for their: strategic & tactical objectives, perspective on issues, decision process, drivers for change and how (with disruptive marketplace transformation) to best match the Providers buying process with the Vendors selling process.

Serving in the Hospital & Healthcare environment is very rewarding and quite interesting, given how it touches everyone's lives and is constantly evolving.  The AHA has excellent benefits & compensation, and their employee health insurance coverage is undoubtedly among the best offered.   Management invests in healthy culture that promotes wellness and work-life balance by offering its employees several opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Professionally operated the Health Center at AHA and all the responsibilities that go with a Health Center.  I was available for all the employees at AHA, doing pre-employment physicals, exams and health referrals. I learned to work with outside professionals. Management was superior and provided me with every amenity needed to be successful.  I was the only Health Center nurse but the auxiliary help was superior.  The very hardest part of the job was having to walk three blocks in the bitter cold weather.  the most enjoyable part was walking the three blocks in the great weather.

Executive management cast a blind eye to the inequity within the company. Budgets are tightened at the same time execs spend freely on construction of new offices for themselves and hiring of external consultants. Cronyism is a big part of the hiring "process," which appears to be at the whims of the hiring manager. 

The morale has suffered considerably in the past two+ years since new leadership has entered the picture. Good people are leaving left and right and yet management does not or refuses to see it. A once happy environment has become toxic for many in departments all over the organization.

The American Hospital Association is a great place to work if you're not looking for much advancement, or if you want to relax a little bit. The only reason I decided to leave was because they are changing the work from home policy. If they didn't change it, I would have no reason to leave.
