A typical day at work came with strict policy regarding punctuality and routine. I learned how health insurance is used by medical providers as well as the people who carry themselves and their families on insurance policies. I learned how medicare plays a major role in the lives of those who are eligible to carry it, and how that role comes into the big picture regarding medical bills. Also I became very familiar with the HIPAA Law and was required to enforce it at any cost. The management at Ameridial at time of my employment. I think that was the case because I was in one of the first groups that the company hired when they first opened their Spindale office. I would venture to say that they have probably evolved since my employment an d hopefully are more organized and professional about things. The hardest part about the job in my opinion was explaining to medical providers that were contracted in the company's network to accept payments for the medical care of our policy holders based on a set fee-schedule which is usually catastrophically less than the actual billed amount. Many times, billing departments would argue whether or not they were "in-network providers." There were a small number of instances when I actually had to escalate the call to my supervisor, who would even have to send it further due to he relentlessness of some billing departments. The most enjoyable part of the job would be hard to say. There were MANY enjoyable parts such as my co-workers, the ideal hours of 9-6, M-F. Extra money for working holidays, OT, benefits, and the opportunity to help the policy holders for the company I was assigned to. The policy holders were current and retired Police officers, firefighters, and other government employees in New York City. I often heard stories about 9/11, Hurricane Sandy, and others that made such an influence in my personal life, that I couldn't possibly ever forget.

A typical day at work would be sitting at my desk answering calls about medical claims and answering any questions the provider or member might have about their insurance policy. We handle back to back calls not only for our department but now we are handling hospital claims and dental claims as well. Since the Hurricane iwe also took on another departments claims and now we are handling Medicare Advantage claims as well with no training. It gets to be very frustrating because we have little or no help from the Supervisor and the Management seems to not care of the situation. Numerous people have quit do to the stress and it still has not got the management attention. I love working with my co-workers we work well with each other and work as a team, but even when we do that we are pentalized for that. I hate to talk bad about my place of employment because I am thankful I do have a job, but it is bad. we wear winter coats inside because they keep it so cold insidethat we also have to wear gloves. Our shift keep chaging at the very last minute with no time to make sitter arrangement and if we call off our tier drop to $7.75 or if we have to leave. I do not mind helping out but they have to give us time to get a sitter or make calls to pick up our children. I have never worked for a company that I honestly have felt this bad about. I have always had nice things to say about all my place of employments. My most enjoyable part of my job is when I Iam talking to my friends at work and speaking with the nice people on the phones.

My team at Ameridial is phenomenal.  As the supervisor that started the project almost a year ago, I am proud of their success and accomplishments.  Everyday my day starts immediately, when I come through the door.  There are questions and concerns regarding unique situations and advice on how to retain customers from the beginning to the end of the day.  I love questions from my team, it shows they are putting their all into their job and striving to be the best that they can be.  Once I get settled in, I look up the previous day's numbers.  I analyze each individual's performance for the week and month, so I am aware of the agents that are struggling and need coached one on one to get their numbers up.  I continue to watch the queue throughout the day, manage breaks/lunches, answer questions on the IM from the agents in my office and the other Ameridial office I was transferred from, read through my emails, and begin coaching the low performers one at a time while I stay available to assist the agents on the phones that need help with how to retain customers.  This is the most intense call center job I have ever seen.  My customer care team is continuously taking back to back calls from customers that are wanting to cancel and/or has received unwanted packages.  Their job is difficult, because they have to turn situations around and "save" their customers.  Being the primary supervisor that the team relies on is chaotic, most of the day.  Things do not slow down until the last agent leaves for the night.  It is fun and excitement, chaos and frustration all wrapped into a fast pace day that flies by.

Working for Ameridial was a wonderful experience, it gave me the chance to bond with others who were learning along with me, as well as those that came after me. If anyone loves to work alone as well as a team, this is a job that incorporates both techniques. The hardest part of the job was communicating to clients who were bias or prejudice to the information I might give them before I reviewed their profile. Such as those who made racial slurs or other rude comments in which I had to remain professional and try to manage my call handling times as well as try to resolve the issue without having to reconnect the caller for additional assistance. The most enjoyable part was as long as I remembered my opening and closings, most of the information was consciencously autonomous and did not require much time at all. It was also a delight to work with such a well rounded staff of personalities and a company that compensated for real life situations. I learned many things about healthcare plans, and the politics that come along with health insurance and the fight between the different companies.

I worked for Ameridial for 5 months it was great then i got sick with covid my position was at home whihc i loved i was out and had to resigned due to my position could not be held. I was to told to reapply once i got better and released from my doctor which i was in hospital and was bad off at the time it took me about 3 months to get well. So i just reapplied and was told i had to have 15 mbps for my download for internet and mine ranks at 10 mbps i never had an issue before with working with the company before with my services i called my internet provider and they stated they have never heard of such a thing no way i could get 15 mbps they dont even offer that much mbps 10 is the highest which i already have i called other internet companys to see if they carried that type of 15mbps and they stated no its no way a internet company can have that download they dont even carry that service of mbps so i feel its not fair i was willing to come back and was told i could be rehired and to get done the way i did. So i will not apply again or advise no one else to if you have to deal with all of this like i did. God has a better plan for me and its in the making.

I received inbound calls for HughesNet Satelite Internet Services. I explained products and services, helped the customer pick out a plan that was best for their needs, explained customer contracts, ran credit checks, processed payments, and setup installation dates. This position was high pressure sales. Rebuttal techniques were used often, as we were required to keep a 7.5% call to sale ratio. The hardest part of the job was talking the customer into paying $500.00 for the equipment if denied by credit check. The most enjoyable part of this position was commission did not have a max limit. I enjoyed working along side other employees under the supervision of floor supervisors. As long as everyone met the sales quota daily, management would do anything to keep the employee. If you struggled to keep above quota, generally you were fired for poor performance. This company has a very high employee turn over rate.

When I was a Customer Service Representative, I would have to come in between 12am and 6am, and would work through the night and half the next day. All while going to school online full time and having a 4 month old son at home. The management at the time was less than supportive and most days, I went to work feeling like I had an anvil over my head. It was no secret that you could be fired at any time and with little explanation. Most of the time, the 'coaching' that was scheduled once a week for new hires for their first 6 weeks was nothing more than a list of everything you did wrong along with your sales number for the previous weekend. While my paperwork said I was making 10.25/hour plus commission, unless you brought home a large commission, you barely made more than any teenager working at McDonalds in two weeks. My highest paycheck was only about $297 for a two week pay period and that was with commission. Overall, the sales division of Ameridial was ridiculous and not worth the hours spent there.

Ameridial is a good place to work if you want to work with the bottom half. No real professional atmosphere and no one really knows what is going on. They say to be flexible but that's because manager/supervisors don't know what to do. No company culture and you feel disposable and they let you know that. The parking lot is disgusting and there are cigarettes everywhere. Language is horrible and the whole call center has tiles missing in the ceiling and stains on the carpet. Turned a men's bathroom into a women's rest room with urinals still in it.  Computers never work right and they don't give you the resources you need because they never make sure you really can be successful. 
Pay is okay and the health insurance is awful. Your team mates can come and go as they want and never get fired for it. Basically a free for all.

A typical day at Ameridial consist of taking in high volumes of calls, answering all questions a caller has and giving accurate information. I have learned a lot about what is and is not covered on certain health insurance policies. The management is great, they have a great team of people to work with. The co-workers are always supportive and helpful of one another, excellent attitudes and a lot of great personalities. The hardest part of the job is getting an irate caller that does not want to hear anything you have to say, even if you are trying to help. The most enjoyable part of the day is getting to work with such focused and hard working people, and getting to help a caller with whatever information that is necessary.

I worked at Ameridial from 2014-2016 in the NC commercial sales division & absolutely loved it in the beginning! Commission was great & the environment was professional yet laid back & made fun & competitive with weekly & monthly office & company-wide sales incentive competitions that offered fabulous prizes. I also advanced rather quickly. I got my first promotion from agent to team lead about 2 months after starting, 4 months later I was promoted to Supervisor then a few months later I also took on the role of program trainer but my pay didnt reflect that but it didn't bother me because commission made up for that.  At the end of 2015 the home office hired a new office manager that was part of a religious cult & in my opinion changed the office gradually making it awkward & very uncomfortable.
