Amneal is gracious in the fact that their shifts started at 7 am and lasted to 3:30 and were Monday - Friday. This is were the grace ends. a usual work day at the Yaphank warehouse starts at 7 for most employees. after getting dressed for the day and doing machine checklists it is anyone's guess as to what the day will entail as there are no real set day plans but more of a do the whim of the team lead or what the main office request of us. There is no clear list of tasks to do besides the run around list sent by any of the offices. the atmosphere of the ware house can definitely be toxic at times certain coworkers will egg on others to illicit a negative reaction for entertainment. management at Amneal is relatively good compared to some other companies. if you had a real complaint the supervisor will definitely listen and even the director was available at all times if really needed. the hardest part of working at Amneal was trying to find something to do and to be a perfect operator as if you made a small mistake you may have the team lead mocking the decision you made or replacing you on the machine without giving any advice on why what ever you did was wrong and how to fix it. the most enjoyable part of the job besides being able to use machines not necessarily found anywhere else was leaving for the day, being able to remove myself from the environment for the few hours left in a day before i had to retire to bed for work the next day 

•	Used Informatica Power Center for (ETL) extraction, transformation and loading data from heterogeneous source systems into target database.
•	Created mappings using Designer and extracted data from various sources, transformed data according to the requirement. 
•	Involved in extracting the data from the Flat Files and Relational databases into staging area. 
•	Mappings, Sessions, Workflows from Development to Test and then to UAT environment.
•	Developed Informatica Mappings and Reusable Transformations to facilitate timely Loading of Data of a star schema.
•	Developed the Informatica Mappings by usage of Aggregator, SQL overrides usage in Lookups, source filter usage in Source qualifiers, and data flow management into multiple targets using Router.
•	Developed shell scripts, PL/SQL procedures, for creating/dropping of table and indexes of performance for pre and post session management.
•	Created Sessions and extracted data from various sources, transformed data according to the requirement and loading into data warehouse.
•	Used various transformations like Filter, Expression, Sequence Generator, Update Strategy, Joiner, Router and Aggregator to create robust mappings in the Informatica Power Center Designer.
•	Imported various heterogeneous files using Informatica Power Center 8.x Source Analyzer.
•	Developed several reusable transformations and mapplets that were used in other mappings.
•	Prepared Technical Design documents and Test cases. 
•	Involved in Unit Testing and Resolution of various Bottlenecks came across.
•	Implemented various Performance Tuning techniques.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing is good there. Management doesn’t have a clue of what they are doing or about FDA rules and regulations. They are all appointed base on  nepotism, favoritism family related place. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Producción management has no production or manufacturing background or experience.  Do not understand basic cGMP and GDP. Do not have the willingness to follow FDA regulations or basic pharmaceutical process they only care about production. Bully and hostile environment . 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Put pressure on floor working class people and too much blame and pointing fingers at echo there instead of working together for one purpose. Management like to put workers against each other . Very bad management practices.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Solving problems form equipment malfunction to trying to get people do the right thing.

I was an intern for the company so I don't have as much in depth knowledge but I can tell that the experience as a full employee is great. I talked with a lot of people from different departments and found the experience to be very fun. I fully enjoyed my position, being given the freedom to both work on a project that had meaning  while having practically full say on how the project was managed. To top it off, I was given almost free reign to do my work independently once it was confirmed I knew what I was doing. Culture was also great in the company with birthdays and even minor holidays like Intern Day being celebrated by the company with treats. One thing I can say though is that the advancement isn't guaranteed. You need to both have a good personality and work ethic to move up or laterally within the company. Try not to get to content with where you are. On the bright side, I loved my manager and wish I could work for him again. He was the best boss I have ever had and honestly could see him as a friend.

A place for beginners. Once you have the experience go away. Many people work with a work permit (visa) and the company never helps them get their papers, WHY? to keep them as slaves because they know they don't have a another option. They know once you become resident of USA there workers will go to other companies for the money they deserve and a lot better opportunities. You will work Monday to Sunday from early morning to very late at night under stress and you will realize the work of 3 or 4 people for the same pay. No good rewards, no increases, no opportunity. Only for the family of the owner. I do not recommend this place to anyone! In less then a year we lost 12 Scientist, 10 Q.A, 7 Engineers and more, more and more. They all get tire of false promises and they found better jobs and opportunities to support there families. If you have FAMILY or KIDS, DON'T WORK HERE!  I work for 6 years and i decide to QUIT. I get tire too.

I wasn't really looking for a new job opportunity when I was contacted by Amneal's Corporate Recruiter.  The job sounded interesting, so I read a few reviews about the company and chalked them up to a few disgruntled manufacturing employees.  I decided to go for the interview and I'm sure glad I did!  I received the job offer and decided to accept it.  

This company is growing in leaps and bounds.  However, it still has that "family feel" to it and everyone I interact with are wonderful.  It's busy, for sure...but I'd rather be busy. Makes the day go by quickly and before I know it, it's Friday.

If you're looking to start with a company that is still in the beginning stages of explosive growth, you like to work hard and enjoy friendly coworkers - I would absolutely recommend working at Amneal Pharmaceuticals.

Overall
Work culture is racist and sexist, felt like I was in high school again except the “mean girls” were all middle aged Indian dudes. Nice facility was the only redeeming aspect of the job. Prepare to be harassed and for HR to do absolutely nothing about it. I quit because I could be better paid to be disrespected elsewhere. Retention is low because it’s truly not worth spending most of your waking hours in such a miserable environment with disorganized management and petty employees who are obviously only there due to nepotism. This company sucks

I have worked with Amneal for 7 years and I have learned a very important lesson. People at Amneal are very political and will play games at management level. They are looking after the favorite employees and not appreciating the hard work that other employees do. Hard work is suppressed under job role and going above and beyond does not help as well. The people having connections with the management are the ones who are appreciated and promoted. Procurement department management does not want to hire more people and give poor incentive and favorite employee gets all the benefits and trips and all expenses paid incentives whereas other employees do not get anything. Other departments are great and supportive and appreciate work but Procurement department is not good.

Amneal offered a steep and a rich learning environment where you acquire a diverse skills set and a real sense of accomplishment.  I truly enjoyed the work I did there and learnt a great deal.The CEO is sincere , dynamic and a visionary. On the flip side there was rampant favoritism which caused some senior leaders to behave badly due to their sense of job security creating a pretty bad work culture. If you are one of the lucky ones who is favored by the management then you have a good life at Amneal. Interactions between colleagues were not always respectful.

Unhealthy business. Everything produced at this company is an abortion of science. Scientists are overworked and underpayed in order for a few at the top to skim off a cent on the dollar profit margin. Efficiency and logic are pushed aside in preference to quick and sloppy patches. The upper management sets everyone up for failure and then blames others for not meeting their expectations and deadlines. Zero appreciation for productivity and promotions are bare minimum.

Most people working here are fun and kind, but the vestigial Indian nepotism and preference will never go away and has crippled this company's true capacities. Let it be an example of the shortcomings of such petty and clannish behavior.
