The job itself was a bit stressful at times, but not a hard job to do once you got the hang of it. A typical day would include answering a lot of calls and dealing with a lot of customers. I learned how to keep a cool head and help people calm down. The management couldn't remember things from one day to the next, so the rules were always changing, which made it difficult. If management was having a bad day, everyone was having a bad day. If management didn't like you, you did not last. Most of my co-workers and I got along great. We were there to work as a team and get the job done properly. The hardest part of the job was when we were short staffed and it was busy. Less co-workers meant more answering, more upset callers because they had to be on hold longer. It was nice to hear compliments from the clients and callers. Hearing compliments that we were doing a great job, we were very professional, we took the message perfectly, or we just made their day that much better was an awesome feeling. The owners were very nice and easy to work with. Always welcoming and willing to talk and work out any problems there may have been, big or small.

I answered phones all day, directing the caller to a better number to call or taking their messages as either non urgent or urgent depending upon the situation. I also relayed information to certain callers per the client. For about 1 year I did survey work for a major fitness gym, calling their clients for their opinion on certain issues

I learned proper telephone etiquette, how to handle difficult people on the phone and yet be kind and courteous. Management was supportive and my co workers were very helpful whenever I had questions. 

The hardest part of the job was handling difficult callers who weren't satisfied no matter what I tried to do for them. The most enjoyable part of the job was assisting the callers, putting their information into message form as succinctly as possible without any misspelled words. Ultimately then I was helping my company give our client what they paid for, professional service.

Management was awesome, compassionate to personal situations and willing to help when needed. My co workers also were awesome, they also were virtually scattered all over the world with different nationalitites. The hardest part of this job was That I sat at my desk for 8 hours with no real people interaction. the best part of my job was the learning of new technical applications and programs. The most enjoyable part of my job was that I was home working.

The company has changed their name - probably to avoid bad feedback! There were uneducated people in supervisory positions who would admonish co-workers for breaking the rules and would then blatantly would turn around literally in your face and do what you just got in trouble for. You are not allowed to be sick or take your children to the Hospital... someone actually lost their job for that.

Passive aggressive and thinks it goes unnoticed. Simply refusing to stick to their words and they do lie, avoid this place, management is weird.  They’ll tell you that you’ll have a weekend day off and never give it to you. It’s a very odd environment something just feels weird there, also the people you take messages for are extremely obnoxious 95% of the time. 

Terrible place to work. Can't even say "umm" or "okay" more than a couple of times on a call without getting docked points. Cheap wages, cheap owners, lousy insurance. Fortunately I found a much better paying customer service job where you can say umm and okay, and you can also eat during your shift. Imagine that.

Underpaid. So political. No work/home balance. You’re replaceable and they let you know that constantly. Demanding, unpleasant, toxic work place. Human Resources tries but you can’t turn a sow’s ear into a silk purse.

Enjoyable coworkers, needs more training on higher level calls. Calls will come in and if you don't clearly understand what to do with a specific screen, it's hard to get assistance as all others are on calls. Therefore, you lose 'points' on your scorecard for having to make the caller wait until you can get help.

Micro management, negative atmosphere. Shows favoritism with employees. Your every word and movements are being recorded. You're scolded for making simple mistakes...you have to avoid calling in sick even though you are. 

Positive work environment, drama free work environment.  
The most enjoyable part of the job is the amount of people I am able to help each day by taking urgent messages and connecting to the proper people.
