I was able to make my own schedule, worked with very capable RN's, management frequently held skills update courses, to enable us to provide the most up-to-date care.

Company was sold to an out-of-state organization, and benefits were decreased, territories changed, and pay became very sporadic. I had to begin searching for another position, in which I was guaranteed a certain pay.

After nearly a year here I was excited to leave. It's a big company and somehow still operates on all paper documentation. This, of course, results in a lot of errors and delays in things like payroll. I had to keep a backup of every piece of paper turned in, because with all that paper some things do go missing.

While Apex was in business, I had excellent benefits, a very manageable and safe workload, and managers with excellent qualifications.

However, the business was bought by another company, who decreased our workloads, benefits, and changed our territories. They eliminated several important assets of the job.

They were very unstable, with their schedule, management, pay, everything. You never knew what you were doing until the last minute. Then they would send other nurses behind you to repeat your visits, just to “check”. So weird. They would also send you “suggestions “ on you assessments that they thought you should make. I literally had to tell them, I’m not going to change my charting, quit asking.

The most enjoyable thing at the job was the clients , the traveling and able to do things that clients couldnt do I love helping them. Keeping them independent with basislc living skills , try to keep them independent as possible its an typical work day.

Great environment and great staff, very friendly and very understanding. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that is interested in a caregiver position.
