I worked in Apex Energy Solutions for a month but the time I spent working there made me doubt about even working there to begin with. You would basically go looking for the best homes with windows that needed to be replaced and you would throw a pitch telling them why you're here and that you want to use their home for advertising and they get a discount for helping them(Basically trying to low pressure the customer look further company to buy windows and or doors). You would basically start at noon and finish till nightfall trying to set appointments in more wealthy neighborhoods. You're almost going door to door but you ain't because you're avoiding the area or houses that have been installed by Apex in the past. The management was very chill for the most part, they weren't breathing down your necks every second but they had to make sure you was at least working. But you would have to show up at the offices at least twice a week for their meetings. Just the hardest part about the job is since you're going door to door, people are not pleased or interested in the most part which is understandable, but the people that do listen you make sure they become the customer. Also this Job has the highest turnover rate I have ever seen; The time that I worked there I've seen plenty of people quit even though this is a small branch and also they do not give no type of reimbursement for miles or gas you put on your vehicle while working. The good thing about the job is that the training is fun even though its 4 weeks long but they make sure you know everything they teach you. If you're interested in working here just letting you know, its 100% Commission after training and no reimbursement for driving your vehicle.  

I’ve been reading a lot of reviews out of curiosity and decided to add my current experiences. This company is great for younger people who want to get a good sales experience. As far as advancement is concerned, you start with door knocking. It’s not door to door but you do start as a Junior Partner cold calling looking for promotional homes. After 8-12 months you get promoted to Senior Partner, where you run all the appointments. In both roles you receive extensive training. 

It’s a straight commission job with your own hours (outside of weekly meetings) and really I’ve seen two types of people: those that don’t work and keep coming up with excuses not to knock and those who go out and knock on doors. One of those leaves after a month and one makes money. I have yet to see someone who puts in the time and doesn’t get a paycheck. 

I love the flexibility and feel respected among my coworkers. Even on my first day I was listened to and respected. I also love seeing the confidence and communication skills that have grown in my coworkers. When I look around the table at our meetings I know everyone sitting at it is going to be successful because of Apex Energy Solutions. 

(Also side note the window they sell is of astounding quality.)

Canvassing, or driving around neighborhoods targeting viable homes for replacement windows. You never realize how long 20 hours of work is until you are physically knocking on the doors of over 50 homes, and having about 20-25 conversations a day about windows.

I learned how to learn about consumer objections and use verbal judo to get down to the real reason why people do not buy. 

Management is great and is very targeted when sales are low, as well as when sales are high. Leadership is very effective and incentives are awesome. 

Culture is A-type personality as everyone wants to excel and make money. Everyone is supportive of each other and are willing to help another out. 

The most challenging part of the job is getting out of the car to have a conversation at the door. Before this job, I never knocked on peoples doors or cold-called prospects. It is humbling and once you get past your own internal dialogue, it gets easier the more you do it. 

The most enjoyable part is connecting with your team of junior partners and senior partner through team building events, dinners, and celebratory activities when sales are up.

I have been at Apex for nine years. I started in the junior partner role and have had promotions since. It’s not an overstatement to say that the financial benefits of this company have changed my life. I had no experience in sales when I started at the company, and I think that’s actually a benefit. The training here, and the tools that you were given are more than enough for you to reach success. Sales in general, has its difficulties and can be hard, but having a company like Apex to walk you through that process of starting a sales career is extremely valuable. Not only that but the unlimited growth potential is just not something you really find at any company. At Apex, I reached my long-term goals within about a year or so from starting. The kind of goals that would normally take you 15 years in a career to achieve. Over the years the biggest thing that I have seen has held people back is not doing what they are taught, and most often just not putting in the work. But if you are willing to put in the work, and learn, as you go, I honestly don’t know of a better opportunity. 

My experience working for Apex the past 4mos has been very positive.  This is not a job where you are expected to be in the office all the time and management, although thouroughly supportive, is not micromanaging your work flow.  There is an intense 3 week training course which is manadatory for junior partner (of which you’re paid) but once completed and signed off on by your peers you will be set free in the field.  Working hours are typically 3pm-8pm depending on the daytime hours.  If you put a minimum of 20hrs a week and are coachable in the beginning expect to make apx $1,200 per week.  A good week you could make $3k or more for the same hours.  Work more hours and saturdays and expect to earn more.  Sales races with big bonuses as well as company outings with a great culture.  As far as the work itself, it can be very enjoyable talking to many interesting future customers but there is a certain amount of rejection that goes along with any outside sales position and as long as the JP is able to continue working on his sales pipelines (working the program he/she was trained on)  then sales are all but guaranteed.

I have been at Apex Energy solutions for almost 2 years.  I have seen ups and downs, just like any sales job, but the highs always outweigh the lows.  

I have more fun with my coworkers, both in and out of work than I have ever had at another job.  The work-life Balance is incredible and I am grateful that I found this company.

Being a sales job, you need to produce a lot to be paid a lot.  This job is not for people who “need” a safety net of base pay.  There are 2 types of sales people and positions, commission and base pay.  When you are on commission, you hustle harder, in less time and are paid more.  With a base pay, you take money from the hard workers to cover the people who just like to skate by.  That is not who I want on my team or in our office.  

If you think you have what it takes to work twice as hard for half the time, stop by and meet some of us, that’s who we are too.

This job is simple NOT easy!! If you don't want to put in the effort, you will not succeed. But if you push past yourself you can easily make a VERY comfortable income only working 20 hours a week. I moved into a senior position very quickly and if you prove you are willing to do what it takes to be in a leadership position, they will take you on. The coach and personal development here is second to none and I think this may be the tough part for some. If you aren't willing to take a hard look at who you are, this may not be for you but if you are willing, this company will give you skills to achieve anything you want in life! It changed my whole world and made everything I want in life a possibility!!
TIME FREEDOM and FINANCIAL FREEDOM!

It’s a very straightforward job. You’re told from the vet what they expect from you, and that’s the truth. It’s not true door-to-door sales, but you do knock on doors. However, they help you know which areas/homes to try and speak with by implementing their Loupe app, so you’re not going to blind by any means. If you are successful at it, there is a LOT of money to be made, and they aren’t shy about promoting to the next level. Just like any sales job, whether or not you succeed depends on whether or not you can convince the customer to buy/be interested in the product. The work flexibility is phenomenal, as you set your own hours. The only downside is that if you don’t sell, you don’t get paid. But, as I mentioned before, they’re upfront about that from the start. So, you know what you’re getting yourself into.

On a typical day, I check voicemails and call back people who were trying to pay with a card, get clarifications on the service they want done, and pass angry customers over to my managers.

During the summer, sales reps sent a lot of contracts that needed to be processed, which isn't terribly hard to do. It's detailed oriented, and knowing excel isn't required, but having intermediate skills will make your life easier. They also taught me how to use Quickbooks to do this part of my job.

Other things are pretty basic like going on supply runs, and matching measurements.

The most stressful part has been dealing with angry customers since I'm not a window expert, but the managers don't expect me or a future assistant to be experts. They're cool with me getting the gist of the issue and a number to call them back with.

I also get plenty of down time, so yeah it's like the best job I've ever had.

When I came to Apex I was only a couple years out of college and had only ever worked over the phone. I thought overall I was a decent communicator and was personable but I also never would call myself a "professional" anything.

Now, I have spent over a year with Apex and what I learned more than anything working at Apex was how to be an effective, professional, and confident person and employee.

This job is the most rewarding job I've ever had, but also one of the hardest. However, when you work here you are apart of a team that would never let you fall behind, a friendly work culture less about cut-throat sales and more so about collaboration and teamwork. 

I couldn't recommend it enough.
