It is very clear to me that they provide incentives to have current employees write positive reviews for this place as someone who used to work here. Those reviews always claim people were disgruntled but those who have worked here see how bad the environment truly is; putting up with a horrible environment will make someone rightfully want to leave. HR and management are not clear at all in the hiring process with what the job entails which includes picking up work for many people who choose not to do their jobs throughout the day. If you enjoy not working and putting that work on others with no repercussions you will love it. The  environment is full of gossip and nasty behavior on a daily basis that is never addressed by management as well as some nepotism. If you have family who works here you will not be expected to be kind, efficient or do your job at all. With no repercussions for such behavior. This job is extremely stressful and upon being hired I was immediately warned by all my colleagues to leave as soon as possible which is a pretty big red flag. I have since left for another medical office reception position which has a wonderful environment that properly trains and kindly treats their employees for much better pay. Good medical reception jobs with kind colleagues and a less stressful environment do exist and it's most definitely not with Prism medical for sure.

With the exception of the doctors, the majority of the staff were the most unfriendly group of people I’ve ever worked with since I started working more than 40 years ago. If you weren’t in the “clique” then life was very difficult. It was a very unhealthy and negative atmosphere. Nothing I did was ever good enough or fast enough and I was looked down upon at this general clerical type job even though I had been very successful at a much higher position for many years when I was able to work full time. I was told by management that they were in the business of finding the right “niche” for everyone yet after 11 months I was let go without warning of any kind the week before the holidays, which in retrospect was doing me a favor. 

My typical work day consists of seeing 15-25 patients/day with Dr. John Mark Joliat. Since I have begun working with him, I have learned about drug interactions, relationship between medications and diagnosis, which symptoms correlate with what type of diagnosis. The office consists of about 80 employees, so each department has their own supervisor. My co workers are extremely hard workers and are always staying busy. The hardest part of my job would be starting to learn how to do it and retain all the information that was spoken about in the office visit. But with practice, I am very detailed and thorough with what goes on in the office visit. The most enjoyable part of my job is learning something new and interesting every time I work.

I WAS BEYOND IMPRESSED BY THE PROFESSIONALISM, OF THIS BUSY OFFICE. I WAS WELCOMED AND MADE TO FEEL A PART OF THE TROY FAMILY BY WORKERS AND DOCTORS. I LEARNED TO PROCESS ENCOUNTERS, PAYMENTS AND INPUT INSURANCE INFO. BEING IN THE HUB OF BILLING I GOT TO SEE ON A DAILY BASIS HOW CALLS ARE HANDLED. THIS OFFICE IS ABOVE AVERAGE WHEN IT COMES TO TEAMWORK. I WAS IN AWE AT HOW THEY PULLED TOGETHER TO HELP EACH OTHER, AND THE FRONT DESK. I WISH THEM FOREVER SUCCESS IN THEIR BUSINESS. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GREAT PLACE TO WORK THEY HAVE IT HANDS DOWN. THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED ME TO COMPLETE MY EXTERNSHIP.

I worked for this company for about 3 years. It was great at first, very accommodating to the employees and schedules, then  I got transferred to a different office and things started getting out of hand. They let a lot of the good employees go, and keep around the bad ones. Doctors are so far removed they really do not care, management is extremely  clique based, and unless you kiss butt good luck getting respect from management at all. A lot of gossip and unfair situations occur as well. 

I loved working with the patients. Days were busy, but for the most part went well if you stayed to yourself. They do not work well as a team. Which it should be what it is all about, working together for the good of the patient. The doctor was not happy with their own personal life and could see that it had an impact on their job. This one was never satisfied with people who worked with them. Office management was very poor. A lot of gossip going on with other co-workers. I learned to trust no one.

Troy Internal is by far the rudest place with Horrible management and rude supervisors who talk behind their co- worker’s backs. Troy Internal lacks team work and Professionalism. The only thing they have going for them is their excellent doctors.

I have worked at AFM for 14 years. I love every single one of these doctors! I have come close to some of my co workers and this has become my second family. This is an amazing place to work. It doesn't feel like "work" when surrounded with great company. They have worked with my flexible schedule and have accommodated me when needed. Paid holidays, insurance is great, generous PTO. 

I have been here for 5+ years. The doctors you work for are outstanding. I bring my own child to these doctors. They are accommodating with my child's daycare calling me out of work so often, and as well with my own doctor apt. schedule. Everyone is very friendly and it is like having a second family. Very busy and fast paced office to work in. I love the cross training they provide as well. 

I was responsible for ensuring smooth transitions between patients, answer phone calls, request prescriptions, coordinating patient care with other health professionals, and billing. I met often with the doctor to address office complaints and office efficiency. As the office manager I was privileged to hold numerous responsibilities.
