When I began here, I expected to jump right into being trained "shadow style" for my assigned position, I was barely trained for anything. I learned quickly that this company will throw you into any position at any time regardless of what you applied for. Taking weeks to months to even create an ID badge making it hard to distinguish between employees and the usual pedestrian who could easily walk into building without locked doors/security and put on a yellow vest. I don't recommend this job, management and supervisors barely if ever actually know how to do the tasks of their employees, they will criticize more instead of making one feel valued. The very few Management and Supervisory are English speaking or Bi-lingual, but tend to cryptically and passive-aggressively instruct having  a tendency to neglect the floor where employees abuse freedoms. 95% of general labourers only speak Spanish making communication extremely difficult as a native English speaker, causing work to be poorly executed efficiently.

This job is a great option if you don’t have any experience/ skills. The tasks are very easy, however the people are what’s the problem. So much unnecessary drama. It’s usually between the Spanish speaking and English speaking people (which doesn’t make sense). Be prepared to do way more jobs than you signed up to do. If you’re a production worker, you will have to pack & make boxes as well. Which sucks because production is what gives you the ability to make more money. Having to do more than one job that you didn’t sign up for is what makes this job trash. Getting paid $13.30 to basically do 3 jobs when the person beside you is getting paid the same to do only one job. Another negative, is that EVERYTHING is based off of how many hours you have. Including bonuses! So if you’re new and so happen to come before any major holidays, unfortunately you will not get that bonus. They also don’t pay you the whole $13.30 for bonuses. They do $13.12 or something like that. 2nd shift is SHORT STAFFED! Sometimes there will only be 6 people working.

The people you work with are great. Upper management is a nightmare.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper Management, they try to connect to the younger audience but are very out of touch. Felt like I couldn't speak up and was not comfortable in front of them. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was okay. The members of the company I worked with were all extremely kind people. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Get there 8 am Monday have a meeting about the week ahead. What were working what our goals are, in front of probably 15-20 other associates. Every Monday morning prepared to talk about your weekend and what you're working on for the week in front of all your peers. After sit at my desk till lunch. Sit at my desk till 4:30 go home. You can come in at 7:30 if you'd rather leave at 4:30 that was a perk.

Arden Companies was my first job after having graduated from Kettering University, and overall, it was great.  A typical day of work consisted of checking my email for any new PLM related support tickets; if tickets existed, then I would need to evaluate their level of importance and address any time-sensitive or high importance support tickets.  If there were no tickets, then I would work on any long term projects.  I learned about good practices for maintaining and administering an Application hosted on virtual windows servers, as well as continuing to exercise problem solving and communication skills.  My manager was always willing to take the time to address any questions I had regarding PLM, and were over all very reliable. The co-workers are pleasant, and generally easy to talk to. While the environment can be a bit demanding, it is rewarding to complete tasks, and to be a functional member of a small, but effective company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The employees...good people. Decent pay and decent benefits. Honest management,local and corporate.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When the season ends for the nature of our business and you live with the concern of yours hours getting cut.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Steady pace but not so fast to where employee safety is threatened. Huge on safety and company preservation. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy busy busy. I drive a tractor trailer and load and unload my 53 foot trailer with various equipment lifts.

There are many advancement opportunities in a company of this size. (about 80 at the headquarters) Employees are rewarded for their hard work and promotions are common. 

Very friendly co-workers and high paced work make the job very enjoyable. 

Definitely a company that does what it can and makes the employee's happy. Some examples are catered lunches, casual day everyday, and fitness reimbursements for athletic memberships.

A normal work day is 10 hours but that means a three day weekend most of the time. It is a never boring job that is always a challenge. It is a seasonal job that normally means summer lay-off. The employees are hard working and dedicated. The hardest part of the job is the multi tasking to ensure that everything gets done in the time needed. The most enjoyable is the family like feel of a small company while it is still a large company that is global.

The company is not well managed, barely anyone speaks English, and a lot of the employees are rude. Management never could give any straight forward answers about anything and they have favorites. There is basically very little professionalism within the business and no one knows what is happening day-to-day. If you are not Mexican you will not get hired; if you do you will not have a fair chance of staying on very long.

 I have promoted up a few times in the three years I have been with the company and have picked up new skills along the way from my coworkers and management, I feel like I have a place to learn and feel like the management and company care about me

You got summer time off to spend time with the family.

Coworkers are fake hypocrites who always try to get fired.

Very much of the same culture.

A very stressful environment, always rushing to get the work done.
