The whole idea of service has potential but execution is poor. Service is redundant in comparison to Home heath. They claim that they are different because they are "healthcare liaisons" but it's simply another pseudo Home Health Service. Pseudo because you don't have access to actual diagnostics. Everyone is confused about how collaborative care works. Company is all about metrics which is understandable, but often times come at the expense of actual patient care. Office culture is decent, but field workers, although welcome, really do not have time to participate. Big lack of communication. Management asks for suggestions but only for the sake of having the said conversation. Issues that are brought up in previous meetings are conveniently forgotten the next. Solutions offered by management are never followed through. You are given a non well thought out schedule. Driving to see patients is understandable, but they will make you drive across the state back and forth instead of consolidating visits. Your in between visits may have a travel time of over an hour. This makes it hard to not be late on the next appointment. This also makes it hard to have a lunch break on the field. The zone you applied for is not the zone that will be assigned to you because everything is still being "worked on." Schedule actually only works conveniently because of patient visit cancellations. If you have a full day without any, it gets very difficult. Schedulers lie on documentation about talking to patients even though they have not. There is no consideration for traffic hours. Often times you will drive to the wrong address. Because patient information is not updated. Forms needed for visit do not get ready 24 hours prior to said appointment. There will be a lot of back and forth on documentation because of nonapplicable billing that are required to add. There is no standard or universalized template. There are a lot of technical issues that you will be chasing for. They demand that you are promptly responding to your messages but it's never a two way street. There is so much more to say, but that can be left for the next person willing to leave another honest review. Employee trust is a big issue which prevents optimal work.

I originally was very excited about this role but as soon as I started training I knew this had been a mistake. First of all, please don’t advertise a robust benefits package; it’s clearly not. Your PTO needs improvement as well as the outrageous deductibles on your plans. Yes, you offer free medical, dental, and vision for employees only, but 1, the plan sucks and 2, you forget we have families and you have to wait 60 days.  Now, on to the role… You are not just scheduling appointments, you are forced to “what feels like selling” appointments. Even when the person you’re calling DOES NOT WANT IT!! When the person says NO you still have to come back with a rebuttal, twice, even though the person is already upset that you are BOTHERING them in the first place. On top of this the systems they use are extremely slow. Like saying slow is an understatement. The scheduling portion is so old school. You may be wondering about training? Yea, we had 7 days of training and they were ready to throw us to the wolfs. They declined more training and the “training” was not even training. They make up their own rules as they think of them. Management? At this point I’m just going to laugh because I don’t know what else to do at this point. I rejected a job offer so I could take this one and I regret it so much. Please listen to me, don’t come here. This is a sales role. 

Each workday at Arkos begins with a morning check-in on our team chat, followed by reviewing my calendar to prepare for scheduled member visits. I gather necessary information and then head out to meet members in their homes. During these visits, I address any questions/needs they may have.

My role has allowed me to gain valuable insights into Medicare and Medicaid members, which I leverage to enhance their lives through education and resources. As a Lead, I serve as a resource and provide support to our nurses, directors, and managers.

While rewarding, one of the most challenging aspects of my job is informing a member that they are ready to be discharged from our program due to meeting their goals. The relationships we build with our members make this task particularly impactful.

On a brighter note, the most enjoyable part of my job is spending time with our members and witnessing their progress as they receive the care they need to achieve their goals.

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing due to a lack of professionalism and respect for employees. I relocated over 500 miles away from my home to work for this company, making a significant personal and financial commitment based on the opportunity they presented.

In the middle of the week, our entire team received an email during the middle of the night informing us that our employment had been terminated. There was no prior communication, no meeting, and no opportunity to ask questions or prepare for the transition.

After uprooting my life and moving such a long distance for this position, being notified of my termination through a late-night email felt especially disrespectful and inconsiderate. The company showed little regard for the impact this decision would have on employees who had invested their time, effort, and, in some cases, major life changes to support the business.

While business decisions sometimes require difficult staffing changes, communication and professionalism matter. Unfortunately, the company's handling of this situation reflected poor leadership, poor communication, and a lack of respect for the people who helped contribute to the company's success.

This company does not care about their employees. They “lay” people off with no notice when they had it planned for weeks. These people have families, children to feed, mortgages and bills. Management will say if you have the PTO/Sick Time and you miss you won’t get points but then they will fire you. If management doesn’t like you for any reason they will make it a priority to find the smallest reason to fire you. Management practices RETALIATION on a regular. HR is supposed to be for the employees but if management wants someone fired HR will help them find a reason. They don’t care. They are not organized and really have no clue what is going on half the time. This is not a stable company.  I don’t recommend working here. When I started I was told by the Director that I was getting the problem team. My team was the best team. Management talks bad about the employees behind their backs. It’s like high school but worse because these people are adults. I wouldn’t waste my time with this company. It’s garbage and they only care about money. Also they “layed off people” yesterday saying the company is going in a different direction but told current employees in a meeting today those people were fired for their performance??? This company is a joke.

I worked with the company for just over a year. In December, the Vermont NP team was informed that our roles would end as of January 1, 2026, with about two weeks’ notice. When I was hired, the company was new to Vermont and we were told there would be longer-term stability based on existing contracts.

The day-to-day work is manageable if you’re comfortable driving and doing in-home visits. It could be a good fit for someone looking for a slower pace, but there are limited opportunities to grow or expand clinical skills.

Benefits include two weeks of combined vacation and sick time. Health insurance is offered, though deductibles are high and comparable coverage may be found elsewhere.

Overall, frequent organizational and contract changes created ongoing uncertainty. While the job itself is straightforward, anyone looking for stability or professional growth should think carefully before accepting a role here.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Downers Grove location. Management creates their own policies and disregard the company policies. No one in leadership seems to know how to effectively run a company. They intentionally look for and creat false accusations to sabotage your job. Your job description changes on a weekly basis. Horrible work life balance although they tell you it’s a priority. There is no mileage cap. You will be driving up to 50+ miles for some patients. The EMR was developed by everyone else but a clinical personal. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Work life balance. You will have a meeting placed on your scheduled last minute and you are expected to make the changes to accommodate leadership wants and not the needs of the patient. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is ver hostile. Whenever you have an issue with another individual in the office, you are labeled to not be a cultural fit. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Your day is filled with driving to patients houses.

This is by far the shadiest company I have ever worked for. Leadership has absolutely no idea what they’re doing. There have been 2 mass layoffs in the past 3 months. If you decide to work here understand that your job is not safe. You can be laid off at anytime without any kind of notice. It does not matter if you are a director, quality scheduler, nurse practitioner, member services representative, supervisor etc. This company knows, that they are headed in the wrong direction and will scapegoat the employees masking there failures as “structural changes”. You are also micromanaged by supervisors who don’t even know how to do their own job. The insurance benefits are sub par and the PTO as well. I plead with anyone to really think about working here and ask the right questions in those interviews before committing. Also if you are someone who does not want to be micromanaged, and wants to feel “heard”..this ain’t the place for you buddy. If you like yearly raises, you can forget it about that too. 

Arkos Health has become a textbook example of a toxic work environment driven by ego, instability, and a total lack of strategic direction. The company is in ongoing financial distress, with multiple mass layoffs that blindsided hardworking, high-performing staff. Leadership promotes based on personal favoritism rather than qualifications—many senior leaders lack even basic understanding of the healthcare business. In fact, if you played soccer, you may have a better shot at a promotion than someone with years of experience, as this seems to be a bizarre value metric under the COO. There is a clear pattern of “failing up” — incompetence is rewarded, while capable employees are dismissed or pushed out. Morale is low, trust is nonexistent, and the future of the company is uncertain. Prospective employees should approach with extreme caution.
