When I started at asembia 6+ years ago it was a great place to work at. I was learning a lot. It was truly a fun place to work. Between potlucks and a lot of employee and employer engagement. They would do all kinds of fun things for the holidays and events that come up during the year. Then COVID hit. And that is when the drastic changes happened in the company, Raises got frozen, yearly bonuses came later and later each year. The raises honestly felt like a slap in the face. No fair pay, I was working there for 6+ years and the new hires were getting paid either close to my salary or more. Working from home sounded nice and yes it did have its benefits but wait they make you be on camera your entire shift and your room that you work must be secure (I understand that because of HIPAA) However it is a bit overkill. I would work in my home alone all day long and the location I was working in was considered too much of a communal room and I had to completely rearrange my house to make it compliant, and that wasn't really satisfactory because the room was too close to a window and a door. Also i do not wear shoes in my house and they wanted me to wear shoes and dress like i was going into the office. I can understand if you have to be in a meeting or it's something super important you would have to dress up. However no one else really saw me working so i why should i have to dress up in a suit to work from my home. Then we went back to the office and because you live within 40 miles of the office you were required to go back to the office. They gave you no time to prepare to return to office. Also, no consideration for anyone who may or have family members with medical conditions that will put them at risk with COVID. Don't try to move up, unless you prepare to put up a fight. It's not what you know, it's who you know. Get one ding on your profile and it's over. They will hold that over you when it comes to advancing. It really takes an army to get upper management to see the changes someone makes in the company. If you need a short-term job this is the place to work. I honestly wanted to stay with the company and retire with Asembia as my last job. But with the changes form the company (UPPER MANAGEMENT) i quickly found that this is not going to be my end all be all. My Team that I was on was amazing. They will let you go at any time without any notice since NJ is an at will state. My supervisor's clinical director team leads, and my team were the only thing keeping me there with the company. On my last day of work, I cried to leave my team and staff but was not sad to leave upper management. HR and benefits managers except for a few are the worst. if you leave you only get 1/2 your earned time off provided you put in the proper notice and follow the rules. God forbid something happens in the last 2 weeks of your employment you will be termed immediately. I had a medical emergency happen and if it wasn't for my clinical direction and my supervisors to go against the rules and risk their jobs for my health and safety. And with that time i had to make up the time before my final day of employment. If you have 401 K it's another nightmare, after 3 months of separation you will get a letter that states you have 45 days to decide what to do with it and if you don't do anything they move it around on you. But if you move it then they make you pay fees because you are under the threshold to hold the account. Also, if you have any company issued equipment, keep good documentation that you turned it back to them and who has the equipment. They do not keep good track of their equipment and they will keep haunting you to get it back. After leaving the company my health is overall improving. Stay away if you want to keep your sanity. 

When I was hired the training was absolute chaos. I didn’t get all the equipment I should have before my start date & had to make do with what I had. We got two weeks of “training” and then were thrown on to the phones. It was fine but it was pretty hard to get assistance in a reasonable amount of time when needed because management was constantly being pulled into meetings or unavailable. My supervisor was super sweet though as was my team lead & they did their best but they were very obviously overwhelmed. 

Working from home was a big part of why I accepted this job offer but the “compliance” department and their work from home policy basically takes away all the perks of being able to work from home. All our calls are recorded, management can literally see what we’re doing on our monitors remotely, and everything is logged so I think it’s ridiculous that we had to be on camera 24/7 AND follow a dress code policy. Not to mention the compliance department/HR could call you at any point in time & if you don’t answer immediately they interrogate you. They’re also extremely particular about your work environment/desk & while I understand we have to be mindful to protect PHI and their precious equipment-I think it’s ludicrous that they can nitpick things like having a bit of trash on your desk or a drink. They even tried to complain about the fact that I had a window behind me with blinds closed & curtains drawn and said I had too many “personal things” on my desk. Said personal things were a couple of work appropriate motivational quote signs and a couple family pictures. My desk was not cluttered or unsafe to work on but they nitpicked every single thing they possibly could. If you have issues with what decor employees have in their workspace maybe don’t allow remote workers or require them to be on camera 24/7?


If it weren’t for the compliance department, lack of training, obviously overworked supervisors, and being so understaffed this would have been a great place to work. I loved my supervisor & most of my coworkers but they really need to rethink their compliance polices if they want remote workers & try to create a more appropriate training system. They also need to try to be more flexible and understanding from an HR standpoint because unfortunately life happens & employees shouldn’t have to worry about being fired for having to call out for personal issues or technological issues. I’ve had PTO requests that were approved weeks in advanced cancelled the day before by HR due to them pulling that PTO to cover a call out that was created by a technology issue from their end. I was not given the opportunity to make this time up like I have with previous work from home employers nor was I allowed to request to just use unpaid time off. 

Now what some people need to understand is that Asembia has multiple programs you can ba apart off and they all require different things. I was on the BMS program and that program was wonderful. we did not have to be on camera or constantly make cold calls like other programs. That being said I appreciated the opportunity to work from and three experience I received through the BMS program. 

However the company itself is horrid. Sick days and PTO days are garbage.  didn't have enough time to go around for all the appointments I had. If you need to call out sick and you do not have sick leave you will get an occurrence.  Which is like a negative point and after 4 of them you will get a written warning. You have to be in a room by yourself throughout your entire shift and they will track mouse movements, key strokes, teams activity, chats.
When my program was being moved to another company they did not say anything to us till the last month (Aug) and told everyone that they will be transitioning to another program. They did not in fact do so and they layed off a bunch of people after stating they would be transitioning.  Also anyone on sick leave or medical leave of absence were also fired later on. 

There is no job security.  They do not appreciate you. I also asked my manager for a year for a way to grow in the company and was told to apply to jobs but they were all in house not remote. 

Oh you only get 20 minutes a week for restroom breaks. If you go over you get an occurrence.

Asembia could have been a great employer. I say ‘could’ because unfortunately agents were promoted to TL and weren’t provided any leadership training; they chose to rule over their lesser coworkers with a belief of superiority, instead of helping them to be more successful in their roles. Most of my tenure at Asembia was fine, I did my job and rarely heard from a TL, good or bad; I was one of the lucky ones, others weren’t so lucky. I heard agents reprimanded in front of their peers for being 6 & 8 seconds over break; write ups being given with an open door and agents just on the other side; reprimands for talking to your neighbor in between calls; begging for your breaks/lunches, sometimes waiting until your shift is nearly over to be granted last break; the constant lies from the TLs instead of just being honest with us, just because they couldn’t handle not being liked (fyi, it didn’t help, we’re not stupid). And let’s not forget, many critical updates were given verbally, so if you were away from your desk, or on a call, or even gone for the day, tough luck. You’ll still be held accountable for that update you missed, and by having less in writing it makes it easier to blame the rep, especially if they were given wrong info or processes changed.
For those of you applying in NJ and PA, my advice to you would be to keep your head down, be early back on breaks/lunch, always offer to do ot, remember to be extra friendly with your sup, and hopefully you’ll be ok.

Poor workplace culture
- The emphasis is heavily weighed on high call volume.
- Unpleasant work environment and you will only become familiar with co-workers that work beside you and your immediate supervisor. The work environment is cold and uncaring.
- Taking a water break or restroom break after hours of sitting down and taking constant calls back to back is frowned upon and the supervisor will make note of how many breaks taken and for how long each break was.
- Mandatory overtime is listed on the hiring contract signed and expected to complete mandatory overtime regardless of other priorities and responsibilities you may have. This employer doesn't seem to care that employees have a life and responsibilities outside of work.

High employee turnover
- At least 2-3 employees quit or are fired each month.
- Constantly hiring for new employees and experiencing a high turnover rate which creates a need for mandatory overtime.

Lack of support from management which creates a stressful environment
- When an issue arises, employees lack supervisors that will provide support and helpful feedback. Instead, employees are disciplined even if they were following appropriate protocol.
- There are no team building concepts.

I would not offer a job at this company to my worst enemy — that’s how terrible it truly is.  Leadership here believes that they can pay people the bare minimum, yet expect them to go above and beyond in every single thing they do. Upper management will continue to pile more and more work on anyone and everyone they can, without offering any additional compensation or help. To top it all off, they micromanage your every move, and they clearly do not trust a single employee (no matter the length of their employment) unless they were friends/affiliates prior to starting work at the company.  
It’s sad because the company has the potential to do great things and really help people, but all they are concerned about is money. Their least concern on the list is the people that actually do the work and bring them in money, which I will never understand. They will do ANYTHING , including laying off staff that devotes their life to the job and exceeds all expectations in all categories, just because that staff is making too much money.  They would much rather bring in a new hire that has less qualifications and will take a good amount of time to bring up to speed and get fully trained (only to set the company further back with the workload) - all because the new hire is willing to work for far less money.  It’s a never ending cycle of this, and it’s never going to change unless the owner takes stock in his HUB employees, which I don’t see happening in this lifetime. 

This company is extremely micromanaging and invasive. Supervisors can remote into your work laptop and it often feels like they are listening and watching you throughout the entire day, not just when you’re on calls but even when you’re doing other tasks.

One situation that really stood out was when I went over my personal time by 47 seconds and immediately got a message about it from my supervisor. The same supervisor had already said they weren’t even working that day, yet somehow they were still monitoring closely enough to message me about 47 seconds. That alone shows how heavily employees are watched.

Another example: about five minutes before my shift ended, my supervisor started repeating a list of things I had done on my phone throughout the day and even repeated several call conversations I had. It felt like they had been sitting there listening to me for hours, including when I was discussing personal matters, just to prove they could catch me on my phone. Instead of simply addressing an issue if it happened, it felt like they were secretly listening all day.

The environment feels less like a professional workplace and more like constant surveillance. Instead of focusing on helping patients, you’re worried about being watched and monitored every second. If you value privacy and a workplace that trusts its employees, this is probably not the place for you.

This place IS NOT WORTH IT!!! 

The pay was great. Hours were okay. Management always talk a good game of having an "Open Door Policy" - However....

There is no communication with anyone with this place! 
Pharmacists have no idea what they're doing. 
Rules and procedures change on a daily basis.
They are HORRIBLE when it comes to customer service. Management never gets back to the customer, even after the customers call back numerous times. 
Getting a manager or pharmacist on the phone is nearly impossible. 
Jobs are either over explained or not explained enough. They will leave out the smallest details that will leave a huge impact on your job performance. 
Upper management is snooty. 
Lots of unnecessary small talk during training
When reaching out for assistance/questions/help - you will receive a very basic answer. Almost text book. Never will you receive a detailed response that pertains to your particular ordeal.
I followed a supervisor's instructions and still got written up/spoken to.
They micromanage like I have never seen! 
They blame issues on YOUR internet connection and expect you to have 50 cords around your workspace. 
You need to call the "call out line" FOR EVERYTHING

If you still continue to work here, SAVE EVERY EMAIL. You'll need them. 

I worked for this place for 2 weeks and started having technical issues. I reached out to the company via phone and email. It would take them a 3-5 days, to reach out. IT support wasn't much better it would take them hours to respond if they did at all. Finally after 1 week I received an email to ship there items back without any information as to why. Two days later I was informed I was being terminated for "lack of communication" although I was the one sending multiple emails (with proof) and they were not getting responded too. I was sent my log in information that I had been requesting for weeks and finally the IT department sent it to my Spam Folder a day after I was terminated. It's decent money, but it's not worth the hassle. The management is unprofessional and instead of helping you, they'll just terminate you and blame you for their mistakes. Also if anything happens you quit or they terminate you, you are held liable for their items (2 monitors, laptop, mouse, headset, keyboard, ethernet cable, etc..) I have been trying to reach this company for a week now about receiving shipping labels to return their items and still my emails and phone calls are being left unanswered, but im terminated for lack of communication. Awful company!

worked for them only 2 months and was not good experience 
when I was hired felt welcomed  and was excided to start new job not long after few days of training they really put you out there on your own pretty much , I felt like I had no support my own trainer team lead was sabotaging me , after few times at HR office they moved me and I thought this will work felt like it at least but I was seat up again just bad work experience , felt like outsider and I'm pretty outgoing and friendly person was unpleasant and overall not worth my effort and energy I put in to working there for time being and pay is not that great for how much work you do and to be able to fallow their scripted rule menu , and follow every rule to the point if not you  going to get fired 
I've seeing people getting fired over being late to work 7 min 
I won't recommend Asembia as a place to make it a permanent job is okay to work temp for them take as much overtime they can offer to you and get another job to be your long term work place
