I worked for this company for two years. Management doesn't care about the  patient's, family members, nor staff... 

A typical day at work for me, carrying for my patients above and beyond. Tired and all work ethic was always fulfilled. 

Honestly learning anything in two years positive from this organization was nothing. The only thing I cared about was my patients, their family,  because the staff could care less about anything except trying to be named the best.

Management is poor, high turn over rates, no one seemed to know their jobs. I knew more than most after being licensed in the Healthcare industry for over 30 years. 

Places I were sent to  care for patients some was awful.  Contacting the Social Worker was always a loss, she could care less.

As far as work place culture my work travel was various places. Culture I could work with anyone and I understood that every environment would not be comfortable. I made the best of what it was because of my patients who I love dearly. 

The hardest part of my job was loosing a patient. Also when I reported concerns about patients living status, poor care from long term care facilities, my reports were always overlooked. 

The most enjoyable part of my job was seeing my patients smile, looking forward to seeing me, staff who worked in the facilities where my patients resided, family members who loved and appreciated the care I rendered to my patients. 

If I had never experienced the lack of concern for patients from Management, promises made to me, my personal health business being spread to other staff, etc;. I would have remained with company. I  had, had enough!!



During my time with this organization, I observed practices that raised serious ethical concerns. Nurses were frequently pressured to document patient declines in situations where some patients appeared stable and may have been better served by home health or other appropriate services. This created an environment that felt inconsistent with ethical, patient-centered care.

Leadership was, in my experience, unprofessional and unsupportive, creating a culture of intimidation rather than collaboration. Staff were expected to answer frequent after-hours calls and were often expected to complete last-minute admissions with little regard for work-life balance.

The salary was not competitive, especially considering the workload, frequent after-hours calls, weekend responsibilities, and unrealistic expectations. Overall, I would not recommend this organization to nurses who value ethical practice, supportive leadership, fair compensation, and a healthy work-life balance.

Faimly oriented,  love, compassion and dedication  to all pt and staff

And getting attach to people and making sure you comfort them the way you do your faimly because they become faimly to you

Very friendly, very caring nurses and cna  we're like faimly

Getting and giving thanked sharing alot of love

I'm the Director- and get to do what I love to do! All of my team are seasoned professionals- who want more from a job than just a schedule and a paycheck. We get to be creative, work together as a team to solve problems, and work hard to offer a truly elite, "boutique" experience to our staff and families. I enjoy getting to work with people who are joyful and happy to serve- and we've been able to create beautiful things together. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Team work. We all strive to do the best we can for our clients and one another. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Traffic.  Driving during peak hours.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The best. We all communicate and respect each other. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Extremely rewarding. Pleasant.

I strongly advise against the Aspen North Office Manager position. The job description is misleading; it significantly understates the volume of administrative tasks (e.g., data entry, waste disposal). Management lacks support, uses swift discipline, and engages in passive-aggressive behavior and excessive employee monitoring. High turnover reflects these issues. Consider other opportunities.

Run the other way.  They don't care about each other or the patients. The staff there are so messy. The ones that aren't messy always quit. They pay so well because they hire people who can't live without a paycheck and treat them horrible. Once you decide to leave, they make it seem like you were the problem. There is no accountability at that place at all.

I love Aspen and the management team! They’re helpful, go above and beyond and always make me feel inclusive. If we have suggestions or ideas, they hear us out. 
Obviously when we lose someone and we pick up the slack, it’s rough but we make it work.

I’m an RNCM, and am quite happy working here. I know I’ll eventually leave, but it has more to do with my husband retiring and us relocating than Aspen Hospice itself. Our management is terrific and do what they can to help everyone out. 

Ability to be flexible. Work hard some days. Some days are relaxed. Great place for someone who is able to motivate self. Don't expect to be micro managed or pampered. Everyone has to be self reliant and go getters
