This company is a complete JOKE. Don't get me wrong, the CEOs are wonderful and great people. They actually take the time to get to know their staff. Plus they work in house too. And the purpose of the work is great for patients. BUT management alone here is enough to make you want to leave. You cannot simply come in and work with out being micromanaged. They sell you the position (Prior Authorization Coordinator) and once you're offered the position and complete the onboarding process, you quickly realize all you're doing is data entry. Absolutely NO growth here. They like to make up imaginary departments and pretend to transition you but you do the same day entry type work and there is no pay increase and they also terminate whatever so called departments they switched you to. Also, they are big on occurrences so try your best not to have any kind of real life issues because after 4 you're done. I have never had any occurrences or other issues but they do not accodmate you at all or subject you to your rightful seniority compared to others if you need a change request. Management has a horrible respond time. Management also plays favoritism. The only 'okay' things here is that they provide snacks (if you are fortunate to grab at least one thing before they run out) and draft beer. Benefits are alright, full package and the company pays for 50% of your premium and gives free basic life insurance. You also do not have to wait 90 days to be enrolled in benefits, it's a 60 day waiting period from day of employment. At first this place was really nice to work, even with just your coming in and doing your work type of thing. Management here will surely have you running back for your old job. Really think twice about apply here or accepting their pathetic offers. And believe me every single person that has posted a negative review about this company is 100% spot on. Take it from someone who is currently employed with them and is actively searching for a way better offer.

My experience working at AssistRx was, without exaggeration, one of the most oppressive and toxic environments I’ve ever encountered. From the very beginning, the culture felt suffocating—driven by fear, control, and constant scrutiny rather than support or growth. Program directors and HR representatives seemed to operate on power trips, enforcing arbitrary rules and creating an atmosphere where employees felt watched and disposable. Instead of fostering collaboration or development, leadership leaned heavily into intimidation tactics that made even basic day-to-day tasks feel stressful. It’s telling that there are countless other negative reviews echoing the same concerns—this isn’t an isolated experience, it’s a systemic issue embedded in the company’s culture.

One particularly disturbing moment, which ultimately made me decide to quit, came just two weeks into training, when new hires were pulled into a meeting and essentially threatened with collective punishment because a few individuals weren’t meeting expectations. Rather than addressing performance issues constructively, leadership chose to instill fear across the entire group, which set the tone for what working there would be like. The culture is deeply oppressive, and leadership—from program directors down through HR—comes across as downright vampiric, draining morale and exploiting employees rather than empowering them. I’ve worked in challenging environments before, but nothing compares to this, and I mean that in the worst possible way. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Get to help Patients aquire medicine treatment to help prolong or save their lives. When they would originally have only a small time to live. Helping them gain a better quality of life is amazing and a blessing to see every day.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Other employees mess accounts up purposely or do not do their job because they do not want. Also the company allows people to do drugs and despite others not being able to be around it they do nothing and it causes health issues for some people. The mere lack of maturity is amazing and not understood. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
At first it is great some supervisors are amazing. Training is so confusing and most team leads will take their frustrations out on you. Most leads if they do not like will treat you like you are no one. To move up in your job you have to be best friends with certain people if you stand out or are disliked you are looked over many times. It is demoralizing in so many ways.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy, answer and make calls to insurance companies, doctor offices,and to patients. You have a lot of accts to handle and most were not the ones you started yourself so it is hard to make out what was done,needs done or if the Patient can get the treatment. It is nice when the patient is approved for treatment but most of the time they are not. If you do not like making calls all day and putting up with insurance companies it is not a job for you.

I worked at assistrx for a couple months total. Experience was a complete disaster. I have over 15 years experience in the insurance industry, came in and immediately it was apparent and management was as severely lacking. I was the only man in a training class of about 20 people. Out of those 20, I believe only 7 or so made it til the end. Out of a couple hundred employees I learned I was literally one of two males that worked on the floor. I was apparently one or the only people there with actual insurance experience and it was apparent in the lack of knowledge of very basic concepts dealing with payors and providers. Basically you will be calling pharmacies as a third party and getting hung up on 90 percent of the time, as there is no authorization for assist rx to be inquiring about a patients prescription status. The reason so many people quit was because of the ridiculous QA department. Long story short I was fired without ever being warned or talked to for allegedly “hanging up on a client”. Prior to this- I was constantly praised for how well I was doing. They then denied my unemployment. Literally everyone I talked to there hated it. I felt completely out of place and over professional to be working there. Most people came to work in sweatpants even though they claim to be a business casual organization. Complete lack of competence or even a basic understanding of insurance concepts. And it is clear based on how they train you. Mindless, unnecessary job and a complete waste of my time. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Being able to work remote and the team I worked with was amazing for the most part.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Their attendance policy is ridiculous! You cannot call in the day you are ill or it is an occurrence so if your going to be sick you better let them know a day ahead of time.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very friendly to your face. You are encouraged to ask questions then depending on who you are you get punished if you ask the same question more than once. They act like they are there to support you but it is a smoke and mirrors game with the management. I had three supervisors and two managers in 90 days. Quality is hard to pass. I was counted off points because I was breathing to hard on my call and I suffer from COPD. My headset had to be replaced four times and I was accused of going to sleep because I could not hear the other party I was speaking to.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day consists of being assigned cases. You must complete your cases then you volunteer to help others until all work is completed for the day. Inbound/Outbound calls, documenting every step taken on the case in Salesforce. I actually like the job, it was the mean girl supervisor with sugar on top that was stressful and hurtful to me.

I worked here once upon a time and recomended a few employees to Assistrx who were hired recently. I regret it!! Ceo is great but the company has become large and a MESS. What they do now its they hire anyone to meet quota per manufacture contracts. Once they have the contract, they start nitpicking employees to fire. No one in any managerial role knows how to train. When asked questions, leads give the wrong information and then you get fired for stating they provided the info. No telephone coverage after 5 pm yet Call center opened until 8 pm. They move people around positions without experience just to cover contracts. When you ask to shadow, they tell you it's not available right now.  MICROMANAGE TO THE FULLEST. If you get a 98% out of 100 in quality assurance, it's not good enough. Stressful environment. They allow you to apply for other positions, they interview you, and then they tell you the position is yours if you want it. When you tell them yes, they still dont give it you because "you are now unreliable for wanting to move to another position" . So much miscommunication it's unbelievable. CEO really needs to take over his company again and bring it back to basics. Remove the bad apples managing it wrong. Well, each one of my employee referrals already left AssistRx for better jobs. No longer worth your mental health. 

This is a company with a good mission. You will be helping people and doing so productively. You do get fair compensation in my opinion. Working from home is a plus! Good place to work if you love overtime, you will most likely not have a choice. The biggest downside is management. There are some really great managers, but others in charge below them (team leads, assistant managers) are horrific. The managers have their hands so full in work that you basically report to team leads who are unprofessional, uneducated, unkind, untrustworthy, and will power trip over you any time they get a chance. These people cannot even write a sentence that is grammatically correct and at the same time bad mouth employees who did not get proper training for the job. You will have your hands full with the work load but nothing that cannot be tolerated. Great company, great manager, loved my job, but team leads are so insufferable that unfortunately it could not be handled anymore. Upper management needs to do a better job picking people to promote. Bad management and unfair treatment of lower level employees could easily be a downfall of this workplace.

Since day one, working at AssistRx has been a pleasant surprise. From the interview process, it's clear they value hard work. Even though I applied for a customer service role, they offered me a Patient Access Specialist position, showing they recognize dedication.

The leadership here is great. They're supportive and don't micromanage. They're big on helping you learn new skills and move up. They really invest in developing leaders.

Working from home is awesome, it gives a good balance. But the health insurance options could be better. The plans are pricey and don't offer much. And there aren't any sick days, but you get all your time off at the start of the year, which is nice. 

AssistRx does regular reviews to check in and help you improve. They're always there to support you and offer guidance. Right now, we're doing leadership classes for anyone that was interested in growing.

Overall, my time here has been positive. It's a supportive environment that values growth. While there are areas for improvement, AssistRx is a great place to work.


Working at AssistRx was one of the most frustrating professional experiences I’ve had. The management structure was extremely disorganized, communication was poor, and employees were often left unsupported. Training for supervisors felt rushed and inconsistent, which created confusion across teams and made daily tasks unnecessarily stressful.

Leadership frequently lacked professionalism and accountability, and concerns brought to management were often ignored instead of resolved. Morale was very low, turnover was high, and employees were expected to handle difficult situations without proper guidance or support.

The environment felt more focused on pressure and micromanagement than actual employee development. There was little consistency in expectations, and favoritism seemed to play a role in how employees were treated. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a healthy, supportive, or well-organized workplace. (Yeztugo to be exact)

Extremey disciplined position. Must place yourself in personal status to use the restroom. Allowed 2, 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. Otherwise you are at your desk with headset on the rest of the time. Their flex time can only be taken at the very beginning of shift or at the end of the shift so not exactly "flex time". Leadership is mostly inexperienced at management positions and have been promoted from the inside. The metric minimums become more and more demanding. You must meet Quality Assurance guidelines and are evaluated on X 8 calls monthly. Program rulses constantly changing to where Leadership doesn't even know the correct answers to policy questions. No one in the right mind can remember, keep track of  or retain all the information and changes.  They would not be able to retain any staff if they didn't offer remote positions and hire unprofessional canidates.
