I've worked at ASUREA for almost 13 years.  I started answering phones learning the "ropes" of the company and industry and enjoyed it very much.  Through lots of hard work I moved up and around through the company to my current Agency Director position.

ASUREA has provided me ample opportunity and rewards for the quality or work and dedication I have given, which has always been very important to me.

We pride ourselves on a few simple things.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars to Job Security / Advancement, Management, Work / Life Balance were for a few reasons:

ASUREA is a growing company in a industry that is changing insanely fast.  There aren't "cush" jobs that offer security to folks just looking for a paycheck.  It's just not a part of our people or culture so the company isn't for everyone.

I do think our company can improve upon management as we rely on our self motivated people to do their job...that *might* be my only critique but that is a stretch and not necessarily a bad thing.  

I rated Work Life / Balance 4/5 because our hours at time can be unpredictable given the company and industry.  I work a lot of hours by choice and out of motivation to my company and responsibilities, so personally my balance isn't there.  However, it's all relative and for good reason as it affords my family many great things in return now and in the future.

Overall, I love this company and it's people and am fired up for what we are going to accomplish over the next 5 to 10 years!

I loved my coworkers at Asurea. The compensation for office positions is not what the employees deserve. I loved the office culture. However my department was laid off and we were completely taken off guard and happened a couple hours into our shift. We were told "You have to understand, this is a business" but it wasn't understood that we are people with families and bills. If we were told sooner we wouldn't have had thousands of candidates wondering when they were going to get a call back for an interview. The chain of command at Asurea leaves for error with multiple people giving contradicting information and a lack of communication with each other. Also, with my position, over the course of a year what was expected of us got harder and harder and the responsibilities grew, but with no extra compensation, or recognition. People have been working for the company for ten plus years and barley have had any raises.The CEO is great and there are many people that work for the company that are wonderful. However unless you are an agent or executive or have a salaried position it's not worth just getting free food here and there and fun afterwork activities. In the course of a year many employees have been fired or quit. If you are looking for an office job to gain office experience it's a great place to start.

I've been with Asurea for almost five years now, and have operated out of the Reno Location for the past 2. Having worked in multiple areas of the company, both corporate and sales side, I have nothing but respect for the management here. 

One of the things I've appreciated most about Asurea is the flexibility when it comes to job duties and roles. In my five years here, I've worked in four separate roles, and I only changed because I expressed interest in learning how to do something new. The Management at Asurea has been extremely cooperative in helping me to meet my professional goals the entire time I've been here, the only caveat being that I've had to be the one to communicate them. 

Asurea is a company where people are held to a high standard, but always given the support to meet that standard. I can't count the number of times I've had to knock on the office door of my manager to ask a question, only for it to become a half-hour discussion that solved problems I didn't even know I had! 

I proudly recommend Asurea to both friends and family of mine, as working here has been (and continues to be) a tremendous source of growth in my professional life.

As an employee of Asurea Reno I am completely satisfied with my job.  I have nothing but the highest admiration and respect for the management team. They are approachable, encouraging  and fair
 
Management asks two things of their employees. Show up and work hard. The managers jump in and help in all departments when short handed.

The culture is beyond amazing, family picnics, ball games and all the employee are genuine folks.  Taking time for family and flexibility in the work day to attend appointments or leave to care for a sick child.

Will be very challenging to find an employer who cares for their and their families should I ever have to leave my Asurea family.

Asurea is a nice place to work especially because there are nice people. I learned everyone's name right away because I started off as the receptionist there.I am a people person and I always enjoyed the interaction with new faces. My co workers were awesome! A hard day would be agents calling in that were upset or clients calling that were upset with the agent but rarely did I experience this. The most enjoyable part of my job was getting to know our policy holders and helping them resolve any issues they may have had with their policy and help keep them from lapsing. They were very gracious to me for assisting them.

Work hard, play hard! You get out of this job as much as you put into it. I enjoy coming to work everyday because I enjoy the people I work with. The Talent Acquisition Department manages the nationwide recruiting for all of our sales offices, making sure to find the right talent for our company culture. Managment is transparent and engaged with their employees and are always willing to listen to any suggestion that is made. No day is the same here at Asurea, which makes working here even more interesting!

Salary is not even measurable to a living income. You wait for a contract and have to give your first few sales to the manager,  he gives you "some" of the commission through cash or an app; therefore you really get screwed here. You dont know how much the commission was and don't get the renewals . Then comes the leads, supposed to be A leads which are actually regurgitated leads from Symmetry.  The Area Manager will also force leads and send to you WITHOUT your approval and your checking account will be charged , dont expect a refund.

I am a professional life insurance salesman. I tried other companies before Asurea, but the other company's high-pressure tactics just wasn't for me.

I am a very honest person, and what Asurea offers the potential client always makes me feel good about working here.

The work environment is happy and supportive, sometimes make me feel like it's a family.

OH, and because I am serious about my work and results, I am earning more than with the other companies.

Although sales of any type are difficult, Asurea provides top-notch training from multiple veteran agents and they have training webinars every morning. 
I felt like the people there wanted me to succeed, and the office culture is amazing. We feel like we have a purpose, and I'm proud to say I work here.
Compensation wise, if you have slow months, you will still make more than enough to get by. In better months, you'll make more money than 4 average people combined.
It's tough, but once you get the hang of it, it's a great place to be at.

I have learned a lot about human nature and how to be a positive influence in what can sometimes be a negative situation.

The management has been a positive influence and a constant guide to me professionally.

The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting new people and learning about them and their families. It is a plus when you are able to devise a plan that will work to meet their goals, answer their concerns, and provide a real and needed solution for them.

I think that Asurea is the best company that I have ever worked for.
