I found the work environment in the Accounting Department to be challenging and, at times, toxic. There was a noticeable lack of clear processes and accountability within the department, which significantly impacted overall efficiency. Unfortunately, management (particularly the CFO and the controller) often seemed more focused on self-preservation rather than fostering a fair or supportive atmosphere, including decisions to let employees go without clear or justifiable reasoning. In addition, professional and ethical standards were inconsistently enforced, leading to a lack of trust in leadership. My advice to anyone working in this department is to document all communications and decisions for clarity and protection.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's really not a stressful job or work environment at all.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Positive atmosphere, caring coworkers and supervisors, meaningful work in a growing and lively institute.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I worked remotely, had group meetings in the a.m., went through e-mail and made calls to and took calls from customers, entered data into the CRM, kept up with the new materials always coming out.

Everyone working here shares a common purpose, no matter what department they work in or the function they fill: to know Jesus Christ and to make Him known.

As a non-profit the work environment is very fast-paced but extremely rewarding. Senior management truly cares about employees and the culture here. The people are amazing and care passionately about the mission. Excellent benefits, PTO, and holiday schedule that allows for work-life balance. 

The Augustine Institute is a very impressive company with essential products for evangelization and catechesis. This is an industry leader. The team approach is legitimate as we are all dedicated employees and management is leading in this regard. The digital and other resources are substantial and state of the art--they win industry awards.

I am truly honored to be a part of the Augustine Institute. I am a wife, mother, and remote employee.  I feel encouraged by my peers and leadership to meet my professional goals but to also prioritize my role in my primary vocation of family life. The work culture is uplifting and inspiring and truly mission focused. 

Working with the Augustine Institute has been a rewarding experience in comparison to other jobs and working at other companies in the past. The Graduate School and the professors are impressive. Being able to take classes for free (as a full-time employee) has been a wonderful benefit for me personally and professionally.

Overall it was one of the most unprofessional places I have ever worked. Dishonest about job roles, provide no job security, and are without any training structure. Its a complete free for all with no way to succeed u unless you can read minds. 

Good mission for the company. Training has been tedious, demeaning, not efficient and not a good use of people’s gifts and talents. I was mislead in the hiring process and I was given a position I would have never applied to. 

Great mission. Great balance. I’ve worked in Church companies most of my career. This one is head and shoulders above the others in every way. If you are passionate about your career and faith , this is a great place.
