What trips me out about this company is I applied back in April, thinking I would get proper training on being a CNA since I didn't get the clinicals that I had hoped for in school due to covid. I was on the floor for six days and they let me go because of: the checklist and they wanted me to know everything within days.

the checklist: I had a hard time getting it done. I explained that to management, but the trainees seemed too busy to sign it when I mentioned it. When I was bought into the office on the day that I was let go of, they acted shock that it wasn't done, as if I've never said anything. 

they thought I did a terrible job: they never explained to me what I did wrong, how I can keep up the pace, or any type of constructive criticism on how I can improve. With that, and the checklist, they did not want me to be in training any longer "because everyone was finished." Again, I was on the floor for six days, so I wasn't there long enough. But they didn't look at it in that way. They weren't willing to give me anymore time so I can improve and stay employed, so we parted ways. 

Would I recommend anyone to this facility??? NO!!!! I think they lack communication skills. Management will drop you like a hot potato if they catch wind of you not doing so hot without a warning and write up. They knew that I was new, and if they thought the nursing home was beyond what I could do, they should've never hired me. I wish I never applied. And the CNAs treat the residents like they don't care. 


I want to express some concerns that have been on my mind regarding the current workplace environment and management practices.
It seems that many of my coworkers are feeling the strain of the situation, and it has become increasingly difficult to maintain a positive work atmosphere. I've noticed that several employees are having issues with their vacation not being honored if it's not taken before leaving the company, which can be quite disheartening. Additionally, many feel that they are not receiving adequate explanations regarding deductions from their pay, requiring them to chase down information from HR.
Furthermore, it appears that management often makes decisions without clear communication or consideration of employee input, creating an environment where it feels like rules are enforced selectively. There is a perception that new hires are often chosen from within a specific circle, which can contribute to frustration among the existing staff who feel overlooked.
I believe these issues, along with the overall dissatisfaction with leadership, are impacting morale and productivity. It would be beneficial for the company to consider addressing these concerns to improve the work environment for everyone.

One of the most challenging aspects of the job is working with agency employees who may not always share our values and vision. It can create inconsistencies in teamwork and care standards, which makes it harder to maintain the culture and quality we strive for.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment feels like a family—people genuinely care for each other, support one another, and show up with compassion. That sense of connection creates a culture where teamwork, trust, and kindness are part of everyday work.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day includes overseeing care delivery, supporting the nursing team, ensuring compliance, and troubleshooting issues as they come up. I spend a lot of time coaching staff, reinforcing standards, and making sure residents receive consistent, high‑quality care.

I am a unit clerk; my job is not hard, but this company has many undesirable aspects. It lacks organization, communication, and direction. No one knows what is happening, and staff members are being used in roles they are not trained to do. Most staff members are new. I assume the reason is the high turnover rate and all the confusion since you have to go out of your way to communicate with managers and supervisors. There needs to be changes implemented immediately. Many patients suffer due to the miscommunication and lack of staff. Family members become unhappy and uncomfortable with their family members being here. While there are some excellent staff members, they need help or significant change. Unfortunately, I do not see this happening. I would never let my family member be a patient here. Another issue is the drastic diversity of patients' needs; the facility must focus on one specific clientele. Many patients need an aide all day, yet no one can give the one-on-one attention some patients need. During my time here, I have not seen many positive aspects. I have liked getting to know some of my coworkers. If you are considering getting a job here, please reconsider. 

I was excited to get my job here, I got my job the same day as the interview. They give a lot of promotional goods to you. They make it seem like a great place to work in the beginning. However, time can help you see the real truth behind this establishment. I never knew my work schedule until the last minute all the time! It took them an hour or more to assign everyone their Residents for the shift everyday! THERE IS NO TEAMWORK! So, don't expect any help with anything, your coworkers hide somewhere or act like a brat when you ask for help. You are on your own! The place is not that clean and up to par. If a piece of trash falls, that is where it lays. They consistently run short of ALL supplies to be able to do your job effectively. I really struggled to work here because of all these listed items. I wanted to continue my employment, however circumstances beyond my control forced me to resign before my probationary period was up. Thank you to the nurse that yelled and cussed at me and made me look less than an inch tall on my last day. You made my decision A LOT easier!!

A typical day here is either busy or calm (90% of the time it’s very busy). There’s hardly an in between since the facility is large and has many admissions and discharges everyday so things stay busy. You also need to be prepared to have a new task put on your to do list at random. 
I learned many different skills here. Time management mostly and many different other job responsibilities. 
Management doesn’t feel managed. There’s a big lack of communication, rarely ever a common ground on issues or resolutions, and lots of dismissing of your feelings/issues. 
Work place culture here is being given tasks that are not in your job description, going above and beyond, and doing more than you can handle with no recognition or bonus/raise. 
The hardest part of the job would truly be lack of communication and having unrelated task put on you while trying to complete your main tasks. 
The best part of the job is by far getting to work with the patients. Learning about them and their pasts and hearing their life advice. 

Understaffed, cliquey management, mean girl supervisors, and short orientation. They oriented me on a different floor than the one that I going to be on after training. They made me do 12 hour shift training on 2nd floor even though I was hired to do 8 hour shifts on third floor. It’s  unorganized as nobody knows anything. Nurses are decent, but there are a few who gossip and don’t do their job. Most nurses on third floor are agency so new faces are seen at the start of each shift. There are also a lot of psych/behavioral patients that do not have the proper medication or staff to watch them and management doesn’t care and shifts blame on the nurse rather than getting enough staff. Workload is intense and can get overwhelming. The patients and families were nice and made my shifts more tolerable. It’s hard to provide adequate care for these people given the short staff and no proper training on how to handle certain situations. It’s a good job for experience, but please reconsider applying here if you care about your license. 

I've worked for this company and facility for approx. 5 months and i enjoy my position as a licensed practical nurse in this setting.  The pay rate is fair and benefits are great. The staff to patient ratio is one of the nicest I've encountered in this profession and this setting of nursing, far exceeding state guidelines. Teamwork in the facility is efficient and fun with everyone forming somewhat of a work family. The facility utilizes many different local agencies resulting in a diverse group of nurses to work with and learn from. Also, this seems to keep the schedule full and prevent any wing or unit from working understaffed. The management and administration are great and always have their "doors open" to any and all who happen to need to come in with any matters or concerns along with questions or compliments. Overall this is a great place to work and the staff is excellent resulting in a completely positive and caring experience for all in the facility, staff,visitors,and patients all the same.


A typical day at work is coming in clocking in setting up my desk for the day doing my work, answering the phones, helping families helping residents. What I believe I learned from management is teamwork, working together, solving problems and getting it done. The workplace culture is good there is no hard part of my job as a front desk receptionist. Sometimes we may have an irate family member, but they can be talked down. The most enjoyable part of my day is coming in talking to staff and talking and helping residence.

constant schedule changes, without notice or them even asking you if it’s okay.

it’s very stressful, the pay is horrible we cannot keep any staff in housekeeping or dietary. people just aren’t paid enough for the amount of work that we have to do on a daily basis, and also the negativity.
