A typical day at work was very busy and fast pace. Over the past five years I've had as many as 22 agencies that need to be processed for payment. Reviewing the documentation for the correct back-up, checking the reports for accuracy and performance with procedures and regulations. Review operating budget to analyze trends affecting budget needs. Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine financial resources required to implement the program. Summarize budgets and submit recommendations for the approval or dis-approval of funds requested. Review forms for completeness, accuracy and file forms. Administer the non-compliance procedures. Enter and update contractual data in system. Process monthly expenditure reports and make sure back-up matches expenses. Process Purchase Orders for payment  I learned how to schedule my day in order to get as much done in a day in order to help as many agencies with funds as possible. My co-workers were a great group of people to work with. Team work is very important, you get a lot more accomplish when you work together as well as communicate. The hardest part of my job is getting information need from the agencies in order to keep the process running smoothly. Most of the time I'm waiting on important information before I can request a PO for payment, however they are in need of the funds to pay their clients rent. The most important part of my job was to reimburse funds to the agencies in order for them to pay rent assistance for their clients on a timely basis, while keeping inline with the rules and regulations set by HUD.

I was hired by a great Recruiter. I was feeling down on Agencies, but he assured me that Axion was a great place to work and that the company did things the "right" way.

During my time at Axion, I saw at least 30 employees let go. Usually unexpected or unwarranted, via phone call. "This is your last day"..."I have no reason, I'm just the messenger", and the next day you would come to work to see the receptionist packing up the desk of that employee. With low morale, you would come to work every day thinking it would be your last. It didn't matter if the employee was producing or not producing, if they had been there 20 years of 6 months. I saw the best recruiter I had ever known, let go, for no reason. He had just brought in a new awesome client the same day he was let go. After he left, the division was handed off to non-producing recruiters who let the division fall apart.

With no review process and favoritism running rampant, Axion is a company lacking in direction and leadership. From offering no office supplies, (not even a notebook when you need one). The company offers minimal benefits and expects very long hours. I was usually in the office by 8:15am and out by 6:30-7:00ish every night. I worked through my lunch and hardly ever took breaks.

The company has a very casual atmosphere, lacking in professionalism and tact. New ideas are discarded, and talent goes unrecognized. There is no room for growth at Axion. There is bad leadership, a lack of direction and no rubric for measuring success. Working for Axion is a dead-end career move.

Axion was the worst company I have ever worked for. They expect you to do maximum work for minimum pay and very little training. Oh, did I mention, they train on line.  How is an employee suppose to get the full affect of the job by giving employees 3 hours of training for 2 days.  The system they use is always down, employees have to wait for the Main office to figure out what the problem is and while they are doing that the employees are sitting and waiting, very patiently I might add, and not getting paid for their time.  Mind you the Main office is still getting paid while we wait. Sometimes the system does not come back up and we are e-mailed that system will be down for the rest of the day and for us to log off and try again tomorrow.   We did not get paid for the day.
 This is not a good place to work if you are responsible for paying bills. This is a job for teenagers or beginners. There is no growth or salary expectations. No matter what the job $10.00 an hour, unless you are Management.  The company is only worried about quotas.  If you e-mail or call the office about something important you would like to speak to them about, do not expect and answer but, if you make a mistake or do not fill your quota or hours for the day you will definitely get a call or an e-mail.
I worked from home many times for other companies and have never had the problems that you get from Axion. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone to work for.

I've been working from home for Axion for over a month, and it's worked out fine.  I get 40 hours a week, $11.00 an hour, no commute.  Weekly pay.  All I needed was a good desktop computer, a good headset and a quiet workroom.  You get two days of training, the software you will need is provided, and you'll get a good idea of the basics.  Most of what you will do is learn as you go, but it's not so terribly difficult that you won't get it.  You'll be making about a hundred calls a day.  Don't panic.  It's an eight hour shift.  You will have a script to work from, so you won't be at a loss for words.  The better you are at talking with folks, the better you'll do.  And remember to be patient with the people you'll be calling.  You absolutely are not trying to sell them anything, but some people still are leery of phone folks like us.  It's completely understandable.  You'll find that most people are very, very nice.  Axion is very flexible with worktime:  if you have a Doctor's appointment, for example, just let your supervisor know in advance and you can work around it.  I do Monday through Friday, so if I have an appointment, I can make up the hours on Saturday.  Just don't do it every week.  It's worked out fine for me, as I don't walk so well.  it's a regular paycheck, and that's a big thing in this era of Covid.  Working from home with Axion is a very good thing.  

I mean it’s a call center you either are taking calls or you’re making calls. It’s not their fault if people are rude and etc. There’s only two downfalls maybe with this job maybe 3 it’s just opinion really, the pay is low, very low, there’s no pto but there’s a trade off for the pto. 
There’s no pto but if you need to take off or youll be gone Axion is VERY understanding they have no issues with it. I’ve seen many people as well make up some hours. As long as you’re communicating and letting them know they are okay with it. You do need to let them know ahead of time, but that’s as expected to just give them a heads up so they can let higher ups know. 

They have NEVER micromanaged me. Idk about that review. If you’re following the rules and following HIPPA then there’s no need for them to say anything to you.

I was told if you do want a raise or want to move up then say something. Axion is big on hiring inside so if you have credentials in something else or if you want to move up and want a raise all you have to do is ask your leads and talk to them about it. 

It’s really not a bad job. I think some people just don’t have the ability to manage themselves and work independently. If that’s the case you don’t need to be working remote.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It was remote work, which is always convinient.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Where do I start? Management lacks empathy; the micromanagement is overwhelming at times. The pay is very low, with no PTO accumulation, no sick days, and no paid holidays. The company keeps you in the books as a temp worker so they don't have to give you any benefits; it is very much a dead-end job.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hostile work environment, and be careful if you get pregnant during your employment at this company; I know of two people who were silently fired during their unpaid maternity leave. They just lied to them and told them that the project they were working on had ended, but it actually was still active.

I would never work for Axion again! The management is horrible and if you email them with a question or concern it goes unanswered but as soon as your numbers are low they are calling, texting and emailing to find out what’s wrong with your numbers. They want you to bend over backwards to make the company look good. But, the pay rate is horrible and you cannot pay your bills with the salary you get from this place. And on top of it all, they mess up your check and when you go to the office to have it corrected they’re asking you “while you’re not on the phone taking calls.” They do not treat their employees with respect and they try to holler at you and micromanage what you are doing when they don’t have a clue as to what tasks you’re assigned. The supervisors there are clueless too.

I can honestly say I have never worked for such a horrible company.  The amount of racism in that office was dispicable, not to mention the amount of religious propaganda shuved down your throat. It's a mom and pop operation with no Hr so any complaints get laughed at and disregarded. ( which their has been so many complaints it's disgusting). It is unprofessional, unstable, and unhealthy environment. They do not value their employees even the ones who boost their numbers dramatically.  You could bring their numbers up over 50%, boost profits by double that or bring in 2 new huge clients and they'll replace you that same day.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at Axion for over 6 years, and I can confidently say it has been one of the best experiences of my career. It provides a very supportive work environment team. Supervisors connect virtually to align on goals and projects. The flexibility to work from home allows me to create a comfortable and productive workspace, which has significantly boosted my efficiency. Regular feedback sessions have helped me feel valued and invested in the company’s success.

As a Clerical Support Temp in the early 2000's  I enjoyed lots of Temp work provided by Axion with  the Major accounts they had at the time like L'Oreal Corporate and its subdivisions and Brands. Amongst other temp positions like  Receptionist and Production Assistant.  My recruiter was effective and diligent in helping me attain a position as shown by her dedication to the company which she now leads in management role.
