There is really no typical day every day  is different. I have learned to  validate people and understand that what they are doing has alot to do with past and things they  have gone through. The administer has an open door policy and is willing to listen. There is some backbiting. Would be better if everyone would work together for the betterment of the residents.The hardest part is losing a resident that you have grown found of and have a special place in your heart. I know you aren't supposed to have  favorites but some just steal your heart. The best part of the job is to hear thank you.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good staff support, positive atmosphere, true to their mission of providing Christ-like care to the aging, excellent wage and benefits. I would 100% recommend working for Baptist Homes of Missouri!!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working extra hours but still worth it!

Positive,  consistent in mission, good understanding and support from leadership.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Great team to work with throughout shift!

In charge of four wings, all treatments, all injections. Supervised approximately 14 staff members per shift. Received pharmacy deliveries, checked them and distributed them to appropriate wings.
Completed charting on all wings, as well and MSR's and checked doctors orders.
Hardest part of job was losing residents. Easiest part of job was working and interacting with residents.

The best part of working for this company is the residents 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of communication between the nurses and the staff.. Honestly I found the CNAs were very disrespected. The dynamics support of the Nurses to their team CNAs, reminds me of high school. Not a good experience for me.

Constant u organization
 And lack of support for the CNAs

I worked here for clinicals and it was wonderful. Residents are great and lovely getting to know and work with. the staff overall is fine. Sometimes they don't answer to call lights or hollering as soon as they could, but primarily do well. I only was there for the end of day shift/beginning of evening (not night -- evening). I have heard no complaints from residents about the care they recieve either.

Trying to find the hours to work when they had no residents

Slow paced and accepting to any culture

Try to find something to do when they had no residents. Mostly cleaned and then leave 4 hours later.

Professional work environment, good pay

Staffing is horrible, should offer bonuses for picking up shifts.

Baptist Homes truly cares about the lives of seniors. This a rewarding environment where the company cares about their employees and their mission. Each day brings something new and a positive way to get involved.

Nice place to work overall. A lot of great people nice culture work environment within the place.  They have a good mission but it is not always followed. But there is a lot of inconsistencies  in rules and the way they want things done seems to change by the daily with some management but some of management is great.
