With the new management it is very unorganized, full of chaos and providers either part time or full time leaves within 3-6 months time frame. Every staff were overworked! You’re unable to voice out your opinion if it’s against the management if you did they’ll find ways to fire you! Newly promoted positions to people who worked there for many years are with lack of experience running a clinic does not deserve the positions that is one of the reasons why many of our patients leave due to unorganized staff management relating to poor service. I have seen a lot of employees got laid off or fired from the new management. Not a very good place to work! There’s no HR to talk to about your concerns it go straight to CEO. These people need to be feel, see and understand what its like to be overworked for nothing(patients leave after being vitaled and waited for 2-3hrs to see a doctor because of double-triple books to make their quota) Job security is very low. One mistake and you are out! Poor patient care, untrained providers with the system and appointments sucked. If you are hired here goodluck! Never again working for this kind of company !!

It is so sad that a company can be dragged down by negative leadership.  The customer and community suffer ultimately.  BACHC could be a great place to work.  Unfortunately many staff have to worry if they will have a job at the end of the day.  Ten people were fired last year!  An employee can't focus on doing an excellent job when they are looking frantically for a new job because they don't feel safe at their current position.  The CEO seems to use passive aggression to feel in control and it is backfiring.  Threatening your staff is so counterproductive.  The CEO micromanages and I think this reveals that she is feeling insecure in her ability to cope with her job.

This company offers services to low and no income customers and therefore has very important place in the Antelope Valley.

This is such a shame

I applied today for a Revenue Cycle position with this company.  Yes, I checked all their boxes with running an FQHC Revenue Cycle. Yes, I could easily make a impact! Didn't get a chance! I was turned down with minutes of applying. 

The pay was sub standard for this community!

I believe that all the other poor reviews is 100% true. I feel that management CEO, CFO, CHRO, COO has no idea. The hardest part of the position is getting a job here. I believe that all the other poor reviews are true! The pay was sub standard for this community! No raises (Hello this is an FQHC Clinic. You don't get raises unless you are Union)!

Lastly, I have dedicated my life to healthcare. My core belief is to make sure EVERYONE deserves great healthcare. If you're like me, pick another local FQHC clinic to apply to...more than likely, you'll be WAY better off! I know I will. 

The benefits I was promised were reduced significantly after I signed the contract.  For example,  the 403b match vesting was reduced by 50% for new employees and changes were retroactive.  PTO is given a fraction of a day per month and can only be used after earned.  No PTO allowed for the first 3 months after starting.  No time off for moving in or getting established. Benefits are reserved for a small elite group of management.  Everyone else is treated like a middle school student instead of a professional.  The focus of care is on numbers at the cost of everything else. Bonuses are given to some for higher numbers of patient visits in a shift. Every new hire is treated as if they are a day away from leaving.  Many employees quit without notice by not showing up for their shifts.

If you're starting out to get your feet wet in the medical field, this is the place to start. With the acknowledgement that you wouldn't have a job if there wasn't patients in your heart and your desire to help them, you're in for great benefits, learning opportunities about the ins and outs of the medical field, leadership, the importance of team ethic, and learning professionalism in the work place. If you're scared of fast-paced environments, multi-tasking, and customer service, this is the ideal place to begin your career. 

Just don't stay here too long if your plan is to advance your skills. 

As a physician I have to see patients almost daily.  I have about a day each week to do management and administrative work however.  Most of the staff and employees are aware that our mission is to serve the community and our patients in particular so there is some feeling of dedication to our work.
The management is competent and caring but demands much from its staff and employees. The hardest part of the job is pleasing our clients. Some of them are demanding and expect a lot from us.  The knowledge and feeling that you have helped people is the most enjoyable and satisfying part of the job.

This company is out of hand and control, Management definitely needs more training and skills. The new phone system they have is not fun. People here get fired from one dsy to another. There is no rules in place and very poor communicatiom within company. Very un pleasent company to work with. Too many gossiping and fooling around. There are people who actually want to work and this is not the place to if you take your job serious. Do not recommend this clinic at all.

The job often comes with a regular 40-hour week, although some assistants work nights, evenings. Stress levels can vary depending on the type of environment. The job requires people skills and a knack for organization, since meeting with patients and shepherding them through their office visit will be a big part of the job. Largely an entry-level position, medical assistants often advance into other administrative positions or pursue additional education to become nurses.

Very productive multiple departments available. Decent starting pay as of 2016. Ample training and supportive supervisors. Flexible and supportive work environment. Sense of purpose achieved opportunity to help the community. Would definitely work here again if I wasn’t out of state. Would recommend to anyone. Really enjoyed my time here and all the wonderful people I got to work with. 

It is a pleasant place to have my intern and trainee for Substance Abuse Counseling.  Bartz-Altadonna Community Health Center is very helpful to the community. Has outreach programs and also provides therapy for individuals and couples who are suffering from different issues. I love the staff because they are very helpful and friendly.
