First and foremost, the company provides an excellent training roadmap from the day you start until your first appointment. They provide you unwavering support and all of the tools needed to succeed in this job. Your success is their top priority as it affects how they get paid. As long as you are willing to be coached through the times, you’re struggling and show improvements and a willingness to show up and put in all your effort they will support you.

This could very well be the easiest six figure job you may ever come across. Not to say you don’t have to work hard, but your job is isolated to driving to an appointment making a presentation closing the job and making sure your paperwork is correct.  Commission is generous to say the least on top of that if you sell enough, you will be lucky enough to break into the bonus tiers. 

My day starts out the night before when we get our appointments. The appointments are divided out no later than 7 PM the night before for your following day appointments. This way you can manage your time. Figure out when you need to leave to make sure that you are promptly on time for your appointment.

If you crave structure and routine this would not be the job for you. A new adventure awaits you every day you get to meet a lot of great people and see a lot of cities around the state of Indiana I personally love to drive so the windshield time is my favorite part. So I never feel like I’m working when I’m driving. Appointments typically run an hour and a half plus depending on how long it takes to close the job. 

The management here I’ve been working with for many years. Creating a top workplace culture is one of their main objectives. They really value their employees and their customers. But happy employees create happy customers.

The hardest part of the job are the months you run into difficult appointments, customer not home, can’t do the work jobs, low close rates, and struggling personally wrestling with the fact that you are in a 100% commission role and are working every day, but maybe not making the money that you want to be making. Your success at this job is not measured by your best months. It is measured on how you pull yourself out of the low months to get yourself back on top. This can be a mentally taxing job, but that’s why the management is there to assist you and help you through those hard times and rest assure they 100% do You are never on an island by yourself.

The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to create a schedule where I can show up for my kids at as many events as I choose. They have created an opportunity for you to create your own schedule the way you see fit day and day out. So I’m able to provide for my family and also be there to emotionally support my wife and kids week to week month-to-month year to year.  You create your schedule for the next month by the 15th of the previous month they understand that you will have things pop up unexpectedly and do their best to accommodate. At the end of the day work life balance is a big part of this job, which is why I love it so much.




W-2 position. Receive tomorrow's appts at about 7pm the night before, if you get any at all. Might put 200+ miles on your car in a day and although appts are "confirmed" and all decision makers are supposed to be present, this won't always be the case. Might drive 75-90 minutes one way, only to find nobody home. Still counts against the expected 30% closing percentage, regardless of being no-shown. It's a very specialized/limited scope of work offered, so if customer wants product/services you just don't offer, it still counts against your closing %. You do set your own availability, but must run valid appointments if you want to produce. It's sales. Install team was solid, but massive turnover amongst sales - highest I've ever witnessed. Almost like they're always looking for your replacement, regardless of your level of commitment. Your production is compared to reps in other markets in other states. They will hold you to a standard that other markets don't always seem to be held to, or certain reps in your market aren't held to. It's great if you're the main horse on the crew. Female reps will get preferential treatment on appts. Male reps will run most, if not all, of the appts in rough/violent neighborhoods. Appts are supposed to be "randomly assigned" but the consistent patterns that emerge become undeniable. If you're extremely dynamic and don't mind pushing elderly, widowed folks that are late in life into buying a $17K bathtub or shower on the spot on just her fixed ssi income, then this job is for you.

I was referred to Bath Experts by a friend of mine whom I worked with at a previous sales job, he left a few years prior and I remained in HVAC sales. He would call me occasionally telling me how much money he was making and how great the culture was. He would also ask me if I would be open to possibly changing careers. My background was in HVAC, which I had many years experience in but I was not making the type of money he was making. My friend thought I would do well because of my previous in-home sales experience, I finally took his advice and was selected to join the company andI’m glad I did.In my 1st year I made over 100k and my second over 150K. I’m on track to earn well over 200k in my 3rd year! The hardest part about the job for me was learning about the process of a bath and shower installation so I could know what I was talking about with the customer, I knew HVAC like the back of my hand but bathrooms were something completely different. The management was always available to explain things to me and my friend was as well.
It takes hard work to be successful at anything and selling bath and shower replacements is no different, you have to master your craft of selling and persuasive to be a top producer, if selling was easy everyone would do it but in reality only the cream rises to the top!

The company has a great history, but they're not who they used to be.  They talk lots about the former owner and all the great things they used to do for employees back in the early days, but those days (and that leader) are gone.  Current leadership is focused on bottom line, not their people.  My boss and his boss were both fired with no notice and no explanation.  Replacements were hired and haven't delivered lead volume or quality that the old managers did.  It's harder to set an appointment and it's harder for the sales reps to close.  Bath Experts was growing, but that growth has slowed ever since they fired my old managers and the CFO quit.    They talk like the old company, but the new company isn't the same and people don't seem to care.  It feels like they're expecting someone to buy the company so they don't care what happens - it's not their problem for much longer.  

Like any in-homes sales position, it takes planning and organization to keep it all going smoothly.  Reps can choose their own schedule weeks or months ahead of time with little oversight or demands.  The schedule is also flexible as things come up in day to day life. The training is excellent and provided with a focus on succeeding quickly.  The advertising results in a very solid mix of customer opportunities.  The pay is solid during training and becomes life changing within a few months with solid numbers.  The company  is focused on transparency for sales and commissions all the time. Nobody here is looking to reduce commissions for mistakes .  There is accountability and training to get it right and keep errors to a minimum.  If a commission is ever adjusted, it is explained clearly in advance and you can be sure it is fair.  A great opportunity with a great company if you can handle your own growth and achievement.

This job has changed my life for the better. Attitude and Effort will keep you successful. You are given all the tools needed to be successful. Management is only a phone call away and Meetings are kept to a minimum. The work culture is positive and upbeat. You spend majority of your time driving or in a customer’s home. This is a Captain Obvious. You will have your leads supplied for you (no cold calls). You learn your schedule for the next day the night before. You create your own availability but expect to get out of this career what you put into it. There are highs and lows as with most sales jobs. How you handle the lows are what will make or break you. Overall, this is a great place to work. Helping customers create a a safe and functional bath space is rewarding.

Based in Lexington/Louisville market, you’re expected to maintain 30 percent close rate and keep up with markets well into upper middle class.  In Kentucky, that’s just not the case. No shows and credit declines will count against you. After 30 meetings you will get a call saying you’re fired.  This place has a high turnover rate for a reason. You’re constantly threatened with losing your job. You will voice record all of your meetings, yes inside customers home without their knowledge, as the managers constantly listen for “training purposes” very shotty work, misled regarding to markets. I was hired for Lexington market and had only 2 meetings in Lexington before being canned. The rest hours away. Be prepared to put hundreds of miles on your car daily. The product is fine, the culture is oblivious to reality at best. The slums of Ky in these small counties cannot afford 20k showers. They’ll can countless sales agents before realizing that maybe the company could change their approach.

If you apply in Louisville, you will not make anywhere even close to what they say.  The hours are to be expected since that is what you sign up for.  They will tell you that you are going to make 6 figures, but you will not, nowhere near it.  Be prepared to learn a script that is super awkward to rattle off to customers.  If you are lucky enough to sell a job, be prepared to wait months for it to be installed and then will not be installed properly.  When it comes to the install time you will get nothing but text and calls from that customer because the installers do not have a clue, and that they just spent $15-20000 on a horrible install.  Be prepared to listen to your "sales coaches" to talk to you for hours on end because they love to hear themselves talk.  And they want you to make the deal no matter what, even if that means you making no money.   You have to travel to Indy once a month on your dime for a meeting that could happen over zoom. Good luck, there is a reason there is always positions open in Louisville.

I truly love working here. I've been here around 8-9 months, and I truly do feel like a valuable part of the team. Management and the C-level staff are truly so easy-going and fun to chat with. The owners/C-level staff are often visiting the call center to chat and check in, and they really do care about each and every one of their employees. I love my co-workers and I actually enjoy coming into the office, and when I'm working from home I'm often missing the office. We get plenty of breaks, the office has snacks, and people often bring random snack foods in to share, or the managers/owners will surprise us with lunches. I don't feel like I'm just someone to help their numbers, I really do feel valuable and respected.
