Different from the typical long term facilities, there are various kinds of patients who need compicate care. They also needs continuous careful concern not to face severe situation. I learned admissions, administrating nonparenteral medication and parenteral medication including IV, inserting catheter, also performing breathing treatment for preventing emergency situation, etc. That is not just long term facility asking dynamic response to many cases.Therefore it asks a close and effective communication between a primary physician and a nurse to cope and among nursing staffs. Workers are ready to help each other to solve a problem. If have many admissions, have to be careful not to make mistake to make order. After finishing many admissions without error, feel a kind of a reward in heart.

Great catch at first, lured by benefits. 2 weeks in and asked about the benefits, and staff looked at me like I spoke a foreign language. No one has ever seen an ounce of what they dangled in front of you to get the job. Staff would frequently call off last minute (if there was even a courtesy), or show up hours late. I was left in the facility by myself for a couple hours with 2 CNA's, one being an orientee. Unsafe for myself and all 80 residents. Most staff slept during NOC shift. Absolutely horrible training. No help from management when there was a staffing issue. Was told we had to make due with what we had. 

Unfortunately not very friendly when it comes to maternity leave.  During my time there, I worked diligently and collected upon many open accounts as the office manager.  I was placed on bed rest early on into my pregnancy and followed with FMLA.  I returned to work only to find my position had been filled completely.  The company had no other option but to hire me back and place the other office manager as an assistant, soon they fired me to give the position to the other employee.  

i learned alot while participating in clinical at Bay Crest. Everything was very easy and i learned that you have to work around planned schedules. My co-workers were very helpful if they finished there shift they would also join me to get my patient done. The hardest part of the was the cna's from Bay Crest didnt appreciate our assistance and having to work with someone who is friendly. my patient was my most important time of my day.

The management team lacks professionalism and structure. There's often miscommunication followed by empty apologies. They will claim to be fully staffed yet people continue to call off and we could use a few more nurses among all shifts but in the name of saving some dollars they leave us to fend for ourselves

The skilled nursing facility is a great place with a great number of staff members that actually do care for their patients. Management is great and could be improved. The benefits are great! Great place to start if you've graduated or are looking to hone in more on your bedside nursing skills.

Typical day very busy, cna's and assistants were rude, management team,  cohesive, administrator very rude and condescending, patients not treated well, 

The most enjoyable part of the job was team building and changing the culture to team work. The day to day operations of Nursing Home facility is unpredictable which can be challenging but rewarding at the same time.

I loved working with the residents. The new management was out for money only. More residents no more staff. They were out for themselves only and didn't support the staff.

They do not respect your work schedule. They expect you to work OT last minute when nurses call off. If you do not accept they start treating you different. They overwork their good employees and let their CNAs slack off even after many complaints.
