A typical day at work consisted of checking messages.  Opening the office.  Preparing coffee for my employer and patients.  Calling patients back to schedule them and address any questions they may have had.  I learned to work on my own and to multitask different jobs at the same time.  My co-workers where wonderful to work with.  The hardest part about this job was not being able to stay longer to help my employer.  She worked until 10 pm at night some days.  The most enjoyable part about this job was seeing the patients happy faces, and helping my employer.

Management is awful. They pick and choose favorites, promote based off of who they like and not credentials. Half of the staff doesn't know their butt from a hole in the ground when it comes to what they were hired for. Gossip and rumors are abundant. The culture is toxic. If you're friends with anyone higher up you'll be fine and get right in. Being a suck up helps immensely. They love butt kissers. 

The EHR system was very simple and easy to navigate through. The EHR system provided everything that you need to complete the tasks that was needed. Telehealth is very popular during the pandemic and this was one of the greatest approaches that BHAOFVA used. 

The  children serviced at this so-called school are not treated respectfully by many members of the staff. 
The disciplinary practices used are extremely harsh even for minor incidents. 
All day long the staff gossip with each other about how much they dislike the students. 
Students aren’t even learning anything - just sit down, do your worksheet, don’t talk, and don’t show any emotion. 

This workplace was toxic and filled with constant drama. Leadership allowed unprofessional and sometimes questionable practices to continue, and concerns were rarely taken seriously. Staff were often put in situations outside their role, and the environment felt chaotic, stressful, and unsafe. I cannot recommend this employer to anyone seeking an ethical or supportive workplace.


Staff are often unethical and do not follow do what is in the best interest of the clients.  

Staff has to follow the rules unless you are a director in which case the owners turn a blind eye to the illegal and immoral things their staff are doing.  

Inappropriate staffing behaviors to the point of it being detrimental to the clients serviced.

While I absolutely love what I do there is no room to grow with this company.  Raises are sporadic and minimal at best.  There is no incentive to further your skill or knowledge.  Promotions are typically based on friendships rather than finding best candidate.  High turnover.  Condescending attitude from upper management.  Good job if you are just looking to work in a rewarding field and only need supplemental income.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
11am to 8 pm, breaks are midday

Great and meaningful work, flexible hours, lots of travel, amazing opportunities to work with and liaison with different levels of clinicians.  We broke through barrriers of introducing the critical importance of Psychiatric Care in patients with Dementia and chronic mental illnesses.

This was a good place for a beginner office job. I liked everyone I worked with. We had wonderful Christmas parties and birthday celebrations. It was like a big family.
