My experience as an attorney on the team at Berry Law, is that this firm has developed an atmosphere that rewards individuals who have solid work ethic, and who show up every day with the passion and energy necessary to zealously advocate for their clients.

Berry Law is a great place for individuals who seek consistent growth, have strong work ethic, and seek consistent feedback in order to better themselves as employees so they can support the needs of their clients. If you work here, you will find yourself working amongst individuals who energetically come to work every day ready to fight for our clients through hard work, dedication and an openness to feedback and constructive criticism, which is necessary for professional growth and development.

Berry Law is NOT a good fit for lazy people, or  people who want to cut corners or "mail it in" just for a paycheck. Importantly, Berry Law is definitely not a good place for people who get hurt feelings by receiving constructive criticism and feedback, which is necessary in order to develop and grow professionally, with the ultimate goal being to develop and maintain employees who do the best work possible for their clients. In order to best serve our clients, our team has to work hard, have a passion for the work we do, and regularly be open to feedback and growth from other team members.

Throughout my time at the firm, I have been privileged to witness first-hand the unwavering dedication and passion this firm brings to its work. Their conduct and attitude toward their clients have been nothing short of inspiring. The Firm's empathy and compassion toward each veteran's situation have left a lasting impression on me, teaching me the true meaning of client-centered advocacy. I have learned that by genuinely listening to their stories, we can better understand their needs and provide effective legal representation.

The Firm's commitment to meticulous research and attention to detail has also been an invaluable lesson. Seeing the team leave no stone unturned in building strong cases for our clients has taught me the importance of thoroughness and its impact on the outcomes we achieve.

Moreover, this team's tenacity and resilience in navigating complex legal processes have been remarkable and motivating. Witnessing how the firm overcomes challenges and setbacks with determination has reinforced my belief in the power of perseverance as a legal advocate.

I have also appreciated the professionalism and integrity you and the entire team demonstrated. Your willingness to mentor and guide me through this externship has made me feel like a valued member of the firm, and I am incredibly grateful for that.

This organization is the closest to a true "meritocracy" that I've ever worked for. You succeed or fail by your own efforts. If you need something, you need to ask for it. If you have ideas for improvement, you need to express them concisely and explain why your idea/plan is a benefit for the firm. If you are capable of doing these things, you will do well and be rewarded. 

The firm has weekly meetings to recognize success, monthly meetings for awards, multiple social gatherings, and paid outings. The flip side is that you will have an expectation that is essentially "lead, follow, or get out of the way." 

You can expect direct communication; an environment shifting from comfortable to fast-paced, and, an occasionally stressful level of work. 

There are some uncomfortable levels of turnover. I'm relatively new to the lawfirm environment, so take that with a grain of salt - I suspect this might just be the way things work in this industry - lots of people come and go, but the successful people stick around and are handsomely rewarded.

You should work here if you have a good work ethic, a desire to propose improvements, and can roll with the punches. If you're offended by professional criticism, or thin-skinned, this probably isn't for you. 

This is a great place to work for those who are detailed, task-oriented, mission-focused, and self-disciplined. As with any employer, Berry Law Firm may not be a great fit for every person. But it's a great team of professionals who provide a positive and accepting culture. It does come with expectations of commitment to the mission and contributions to 'the fight.' The work requires great attention to detail and self-discipline to be successful. Everyone here is gainfully employed, do not expect down-time. For those that thrive in this environment, it creates a great sense of unity. I found the team of co-workers and management extremely supportive to help answer all my questions and set me up for success. Contrary to other posts here, I found the Berry Law Firm leadership, staff and culture to be both ethical and inclusive of all demographics (the only preference I perceive is towards Veterans- which is fair at a Veteran-owned and Veteran-serving organization). I find the most enjoyable part of working here to be the camaraderie with co-workers and the satisfaction of helping Veterans get the support they deserve. 

My career has always been in the healthcare industry but I always felt a sense of not pursing my passion. I felt a sense of security working for major health care systems but decided to go out on the limb and apply at Berry Law. I come from a military background, my family served and my husband continues to serve. We are very active in our community in volunteering for non profit organizations and our passion is helping our military community. At Berry Law, I get to do this everyday and as much work as I do for volunteering I cannot believe till this day I get paid to help our Veterans get the compensation they deserve. The most enjoyable part about my job is the team and family environment. I am always learning new software, learning new ways to do things. Our CEO tells us every morning to go out and be someone's hero today and its such a motivation to want to do more. During the outbreak of Covid-19, our team was sent home with full capabilities and none of us were furloughed. When employers around us had hiring freezes, we continued to hire!!

Berry Law is a great opportunity for people who really want to grow their careers and advance as individuals. It isn’t for the faint of heart, so call-it-in employees need not apply.  The hardest part of the job is that you will be challenged, you may feel like you aren’t getting enough pats on the back for putting forth more effort than you ever have before, but you will ultimately grow and your abilities will become more formidable. For people who recognize the value in that, working for this firm is an opportunity that doesn’t come around too often.
The culture is one of high-performers and measured competition, with rewards and recognition for those that align with the values. The most enjoyable part of the job is being amongst people who inspire you and encourage you to grow. I was intimidated when I started working there, but was provided the time and support to get past my learning curve, then challenged beyond my expectations, and proud of what I have been able to achieve.

I believe my skills are being put to good use at Berry Law. The hardest part of the job is the lack of communication and the lack of oversight in the change management process. I very much enjoy all the people I work with and if you're willing to work hard and hold yourself accountable, you will go far. Depending on your entry point there is room for "ladder growth". Health insurance premiums are low for employees, but adding dependents is pricey. The culture is good and improving. The room for improvement is back on management... Communication is so important and waiting to share until a change is already in place is terrible. The other area is supervisors across EVERY area should be holding everyone accountable to the same standards, not pick and choose who enforces which policy on which day of the week.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Berry Law team. I serve Veterans from around the world with highly motivated individuals who offer prompt and friendly support when needed. As a service member, I have found it extremely rewarding to assist individuals who have sacrificed for our nation. Berry Law is supportive and understanding with current military service member's obligations.  Each day, I have countless opportunities to learn new skills, collaborate with other professionals, and produce results that make a significant positive impact in the lives of our clients. Whether I am on the phone assisting a Veteran, or celebrating our highest weekly performers, Berry Law has been a consistently positive work environment that relentlessly advocates for Veterans. I am proud to work for this organization and grateful that I am privileged to work alongside such stellar colleagues.

Management (Environment of Fear)
- Employees will protect themselves and might not take the blame for their mistakes on projects to avoid leadership berating them.
- Lot of pressure to get a project done but leadership is always very vague when you ask for help.
- Leadership is VERY hard to work with and will beat you down over time by yelling at you at least once a week. (Making you dread coming back the next day)

No Realistic Timeline to Get Projects Done
- leadership wants things done with the snap of a finger, then gets verbally aggressive to you when things don't fit THEIR unrealistic timeline.

Hardest Part of Job
- being yelled at for 20+ minutes for mistakes depending on leadership's mood that day.
- making people feel like they don't have job security
- being looked down on if you come in right at 8 and leave at 5 most days




There is so much information related to this job it can seem overwhelming at times; however, your supervisors and coworkers understand this and are more than eager to help you succeed. The work environment in the office is professional, yet everyone is laid back. You are busy with work almost all the workday but that's good for people who like to stay busy. Its fulfilling helping others out in need of advocacy. Berry Law respects their clients and pays tribute to them ever Friday in their toast to Veterans and military members. Berry Law also takes care of their employees. I feel respected, encouraged, and part of the team.
