I recently had the unfortunate experience of working for Best Life Residential, and I must say it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, it was evident that the company had no regard for its employees' work-life balance, and the unjust termination practices only added to the misery.

The first red flag was the complete disregard for a reasonable work schedule. Tim and Ryen expected their caregivers to be available at all hours, with little consideration for personal time or family commitments. The demands were unrealistic, leaving no room for a healthy balance between work and personal life. The constant pressure to be on-call 24/7 took a toll on my well-being and made it nearly impossible to maintain a decent quality of life.

What's even more disheartening is the unjust treatment of employees when it comes to termination. Colleagues and I witnessed several instances where hardworking individuals were let go without any valid reason or fair warning. The lack of transparency in the termination process created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among the staff.

Additionally, there was a complete absence of constructive feedback or opportunities for improvement. Instead of fostering a supportive work environment, they seemed to thrive on creating an atmosphere of constant anxiety and job insecurity.

Communication from management was practically nonexistent, leaving employees feeling like disposable assets rather than valued team members. It became clear that the company prioritized its bottom line over the well-being of its caregiving staff.

In conclusion, my time at Best Life was a regrettable chapter in my career. The lack of work-life balance and the unjust firing practices make it a company I cannot, in good conscience, recommend to anyone seeking a fulfilling and fair employment experience. If you value your mental health and job security, steer clear of anything associated with Best Life Residential.

At first, everything seemed great. I was made a case manager and suddenly there was no response to things I needed at my clients' home, I was given lip service when I told the owners I needed things, medication administration protocol was a joke, and any time I tried to express the need for an employee to be disciplined my concerns were ignored. I was offered a job by another company who called to do a job verification. I received numerous calls and text messages after that demanding to know if I was leaving. I even had another person working in the home that day hand me their phone and tell me the owner wanted to speak with me while we were packing up the clients' belongings so movers could take everything to a new place. I worked OVERTIME the next day to help finish the move process because I had agreed to it already and the clients needed the help but decided I was done with the company. I quit that weekend. When I finally got paid for that pay period, I had been paid straight time instead of overtime. Don't make the mistake of working here!

I have been working for Best Life Residential for almost 2 years and have had nothing but a positive experience. Even as a new employee, I felt welcomed and supported both professionally and personally. I work closely with the management team and owners, all of who give their all to support their employees and provide our clients with the best care. Prior to working with Best Life Residential, I have worked in the field for 10 years, and have seen firsthand the opportunities and challenges that come with caregiving. Best Life Residential puts their employees first, listens to their goals for their career, and respects them. Treating employees as valuable and appreciated, allows them to give their all for the clients they are supporting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a company that values what you can bring to the job and doesn’t hesitate to express their appreciation!

The pay may sound good  but it doesn't make up for all the headaches and poor management.  Poor communication between management,  administration and staff.   There are absolutely no employee benefits.  You are required to be at work no matter what.  Days off.. there isn't any.  They call non stop for you to come in.  They hire you right over the phone before they even meet you!!! Not very wise considering you are working with very vulnerable people.  If the next shift doesn't show up you will be expected to stay or get threatened.  Whats ok for one staff to do isn't ok for another to do.  They play favoritism. If you even attempt to look for another job they will hound you and threaten you. Just don't work here.. it's just not worth it.  It's a shame because the individuals are  great but the owners are just horrible people! 

This company is different than most companies in the Madison area I have experienced. When they hire you, they expect great work with their Individuals. They will always have your back if you come in and do your job. I have been here for almost 3 years and I never plan on leaving. The Individuals are great, management is open and honest, and most importantly, they care for their Individuals and that rubs off on staff. This isn't just a job where they hire bodies to fill a position, they truly want the best and will take care of their staff

You cannot call off without being threatened!! I was in a car accident during the winter and there response was to call a taxi. They did this to multiple people! I got fired because I had court. They have no job security for anyone! They also make employees care for multiple residents on over nights in different apartments so the clients aren’t getting the care the need properly yet the company still collects government funding for each individual client and individual care. 

I worked here for a short time! But I do know a little more than most starting here! When it comes to the owners they are amazing people. They truly care for their clients. But when is comes to management and direct care workers. They don’t no what they are doing. Management think because they have that title they can talk to their direct care workers anyway. I had high hopes for this company. Wasted my time! There are other companies doing the same work. That will be a better fit if you want to work in this field! 

If you are looking for a company to support growth while respecting work life balance, then best life is your place. Best life has grown at a doable rate in order to provide the best care for their current individuals. Best life values safety, cleanliness and happiness of all individuals. Staff are respected and given the opportunity for growth within the company. Management works with direct care staff closely and the owners are caring and involved. A great place to get your foot in the door and care for individuals 

As an employee for Best Life Residential for the past year, I can truly say this company will do whatever it takes to provide the care adults with Special Needs deserve. I have worked with a lot of agencies in Madison, and nothing is even close to this company. The care, cleanliness, how they treat employees is the best I've seen. I plan on staying for a long time and will go to my grave sticking up for this company. #TeamBestLife

Best Life Residential is the greatest company I have worked for. I started here in fall of 2022. The owners promised me that if I worked hard and show my passion supporting their Individuals I could do great things with this company. They have proven that to me. I have receive a promotion in my short time here and the sky is the limit. I finally feel a sense of belonging and can't thank this company enough.
