A typical day for my position was to clock in for work, handle all of my duties, take an hour lunch, and stay until clock out time. Management stresses no overtime.

While working at this company, I learned a lot more about Excel, even though there wasn't any real formal training for the position. I enjoy learning things, though, and I took to learning more on my own. Also, learning things on your own was VERY common in this workplace. I performed some other admin duties, like organizing and filing documents. I had to buy some tools myself instead of being provided the tools.

Management... Being fired on the spot is a very real fear in the office. The office ran like a competition instead of like a team. People often have to pick up tasks that aren't in their job descriptions, which also caused problems with proper compensation. There's a disconnect between upper management and the average employee, as I saw and heard a lot of mistrust.

Workplace culture is extremely money-driven to the point of losing sight of the employees.

The hardest part of the job was to not fall asleep at my desk when there wasn't anything else to do. Keeping myself busy isn't difficult in certain moments, but there were times when there really wasn't anything else to do.

The most enjoyable part of my job was helping my peers where I could, and helping them learn skills to complete their work or helping them with any other office duty, and I got to be slightly innovative with some of my duties/performance.

Management knows what they're doing, knows the business and provides valuable guidance and on-job training so you can grow in your area.

Laid back but productive work environment and atmosphere.
Very diverse team, each person is a star in their area of expertise.

The culture of the company is very team oriented and the group goals are discussed a lot and broken down into department and individual goals so that as an employee, you know what you need to do.  Management doesn't do your job for you but entrusts you with it and picks you up when you fall down so that you can be great.

It's a really welcoming atmosphere where anyone who wants to do a good job and learn has unlimited potential, doesn't matter where you came from or who you are, if you want to work hard to help a company expand that will help you expand with it, come work at Blackstone.

I also want to point out that the company helps people diagnose Obstructive Sleep Apnea, which is a terrible (often undiagnosed) condition for those that have it and our patients' lives improve significantly once they are diagnosed and get their treatment.

A handful of the team members. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The constant badgering about numbers, having to get 15 office visits in per day, being tracked with a GPS tracker, not having a large enough marketing budget or car allowance for the size of your territory,  not being aggressive enough, CEO being completely out of touch, horrible customer service, no value of employee safety - get on the roads no matter the weather and get your visits in, and how difficult it is to actually make money. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Micromanaging. Discouraging. No work life balance. Way too much work for way too little pay. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You have to get in a minimum of 15 office visits per day. You have to have 2-3 lunches scheduled a week. If you don’t hit your numbers, your paycheck gets docked. The amount of follow up/paperwork that they expect puts you easily at a 10-12 hour day and end up working on the weekends too.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Under paid! The CEO focus was more on filming for a new project than keeping the company going. Internet had been cut off several times and medical insurance was cancelled without a heads up and now I’m left with a $500 bill that I shouldn’t have. Very unorganized unprofessional company. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work for this company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They didn’t, base pay on experience, they just looked at you and gave a very low amount.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment was different. Anyone could walk in the place. No type of security, just an open space 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You never knew what to expect day by day. People was leaving the company when they made crazy changes. I remember after working there for two years they took away a paycheck from everyone and stated we’d get it if we ever left the company. I never got it. We had to wait a whole month without pay. Lots of people quit.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Now nothing! They have unbelievable turnover and have difficulty paying payroll on time! Commissions forget about it because never know what you will be paid. Changes commissions constantly to reduce payout!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working for a guy who basis decisions on how he feels that day and how it benefits him and only him financially!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very stressful! You have to produce at the absolute highest levels while not being paid until he decides or has the money to pay you in installments!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Made me drive in every day ( 2 hrs each way) when I could be more productive working remotely! He allowed his friends and families who he put in positions to do it!

Working independently,  great work environment, a great boss! And teamwork!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When there is no communication regarding work!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We try to work together as a team as much as possible and try to resolve any issues or problems if it occurs.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Update all the necessary updates, analyze strips that is transmitted to the system, making phone calls to patients to either start they study, or who finish the study. Write a report for those who finish the study., upload the report and send it to the doctor and also tax reports to the Oren physicians after gets approved.

Poorly managed, and just simply unfair.  Someone can be 15 to 30 minutes late every single morning without fail, yet you can be fired for “poor performance “ . Only being late maybe 10 times in 6 months. Considering, even doing all you can in your power to embrace solutions and not excuses.  Once someone turns management’s attention on you specifically they watch you like a hawk and target all of your shortcomings.  Just simply unfair, no direct deposit, and endless lists of problems and spreadsheets. Do yourself a favor and avoid this office at all costs, from managers, to coworkers, and new interviewees … no one lasts

Management is composed of “good old boys” members rather than competent leaders. They like to play mind games, use passive aggressiveness and guilt trip their sales reps while setting unrealistic quotas. It is the norm to not get paid on a timely manner as payroll gets pushed back and commissions/ bonuses are constantly changing to favor the higher ups even though you worked for your money. They harass patients into taking their sleep studies and doctors offices get mad as they don’t have direct contact with the main office for questions/ concerns. If you want to get a taste of the Scientologist hole this is indeed the place for you. 

Management does not care about you. I can not stress this enough: they do not care about you. You do not matter to management. Only money and numbers matter. It's such a small company, you'd expect that maybe at least they would see you as a person, but no. They're only focused on money. They don't even care about the patients that they have, let alone you. They will work you to the bone and then make you feel bad if you need a day off. You will not be paid enough for the amount of work you do and your coworker who watches videos next to you all day will get more recognition than you. You do not matter to them.

Worked with the company for almost four years and the place had changed for the worse. Paychecks had bounced multiple times, job security was non existant, pay schedule was changed on a whim (paid once at the start of the month and once at the very end of the month rather than the standard biweekly). The Owner and higher management are laughable, they had zero response to the COVID 19 pandemic and when people became sick, they told employees to be quiet about it. I would never recommend this place.
