The company culture is insufferable and almost cult-like complete with weekly emails to remind everyone how awesome they are. This is a distraction from the zero work/life balance.

PTO blackout dates during holidays, mandatory overtime, and a schedule is provided without consideration of outside conflicts. For those with daycare schedules, college classes, etc - there is no flexibility with scheduling. 

A few buildings do not have enough parking passes, there's a shuttle bus to take people to their cars which adds an extra 20-30 minutes to commute time. Since no phones are allowed at desks, a missed shuttle in the morning means nobody can really help. 
No phones allowed also applies to parents - no exceptions. Phones are only allowed on breaks. There's a point system for attendance with long lines for the clock out machine. 

The pay is okay and that is the only positive attribute about this company. Yearly reviews determine pay increase. One of the engagements is a support ticketing system. Years ago the quality of work was the most important aspect of this job. 
Now it's calculated based on the average replies per hour. Solving problems goes completely unnoticed while someone is spamming out nonsense to customers to keep their numbers up where it may take someone else 15 minutes to craft the one reply that is the solution. We're just told to keep numbers up instead of recognition for knowing our roles. It's best to go with the majority and send as many replies as possible without worrying about the quality of what's being sent, since it doesn't matter when nobody is paying attention.

When other companies in the area started working from home when Covid got serious, we were still working 6-8 people to a table. It wasn't until they were faced with lockdown that they considered letting us work from home using our own equipment.  Then they did a massive layoff. 
Only recommend working here out of desperation to pay bills. 


I work at Blueprint Technologies in Bellevue, WA, and my overall experience is not positive.

Work Environment & Culture:
The work culture feels rigid and lacks transparency. Communication from leadership is inconsistent, and important updates don't reach employees in a timely or clear way. While some coworkers are supportive, it is hard to feel heard when raising concerns, and the general atmosphere is not particularly open to feedback or change.

Leadership & Support:
The leadership is largely disconnected from the day-to-day challenges of the job. There isn't much visible support or encouragement from management, and opportunities for growth or development are limited. Recognition is rare, and it is difficult to see a long-term path within the company.

Job Role & Workload:
The work itself is repetitive, boring, task-based, and it doesn't offer much in terms of skill-building or variety. I often find the tasks to be monotonous, and there is little room to take initiative or expand responsibilities.

Performance & Feedback:
The performance review and feedback process feels unclear at all times. Expectations aren't aligned with the realities of the role, and feedback is focused on minor issues rather than providing helpful or actionable guidance.

Final Thoughts:
This organization might work for individuals seeking very short-term employment just to make ends meet, but it won't work l for those looking for career development, active mentorship, or a supportive team culture. The company should focus on investing in employee development, improving communication efficiency, and fostering a transparent, collaborative culture - rather than resorting to layoffs of individuals who raise legitimate concerns.

On the surface this company seems great.  Having been there almost 2 years I am the most unhappy I have been at any job.  They say they are about careers, but only if you are in with the executives.  Nepotism is rampant  and if you are part of the "chosen" you can pretty much do a half-assed job and get praised for it.  If you are outside that inner circle then you are not valued and will go nowhere.  They say that they are big on ideas, but your ideas go nowhere and suddenly, after a little time passes, they roll out something very similar to your idea but with someone in the inner circle is credited.  With the fact that they have poorly written policies, or sometime none at all, I find it hard to operate as an employee when what the rules are depends on who you talk to and what mood they are in.  There is so much potential for the work that is done, but they squander it.  They have a huge turnover rate in management and that is mainly because of the inconsistent policies and communication.  They expect managers to make positive change, but reject anything that makes other departments have to work.  I have been lied to left and right since day one and as much as there are people I love being around there, I cannot recommend anyone enter into this toxic and hostile environment.  Outsiders are definitely not welcomed.

REMOTE WORK - I worked from home and had the ability to set my own schedule, other than the meetings I had. 

WORK - Management wasn't clear on expectations and had many miscommunications between decision makers. It made it impossible for me to win - I'd follow instructions from one party to only be told by the other that I did it wrong. 

MANAGEMENT - Micromanaging on projects, but not clear on actual expectations. I submitted 4 proposals for the same project over 2 years and got it denied each time, though my manager couldn't specify what was wrong with it so I could do it right the next time. 

CULTURE - They didn't pivot well to remote work culture from COVID. The staff is isolated and not much rapport or communication built between team members. The staff from before COVID apparently love the company, but I didn't see that since I started remotely during COVID. 

BENEFITS - Absolutely no bonuses given and the bare minimum benefits package. 

END OF MY EMPLOYMENT - I got laid off with zero notice and no severance. They apparently were taking the department a different direction, but didn't give me a chance to see if it is something I could do or was interested in. I heard the story from a number of other staff after I left, too. 

This company is like a generic version of a cliche tech consulting firm. On one of their primary engagements, they have a useless people infestation: an incompetent but charismatic dolt was promoted, who promoted other incompetent and charismatic useless people. The useful people get weighed down with all the make up work and passed over for promotions, since the useless people don't want their uselessness highlighted in comparison. Upper management doesn't care because they are contracted in and make money either way, which is very short sighted and psychopathic, because employees just lash out at other employees in the cut throat game of favoritism that you're forced to play to work there. 

After I brought up that certain teams weren't getting the benefits and incentives they were promised, I was harassed with false claims and even slandered. When I asked for a meeting with HR, they didn't even show up to the meeting they scheduled with me. Before I could raise anymore fuss, I was told my car would be towed since I didn't have permission to park in the parking lot outside (which I did) and the 5 minutes that it took to walk from my car was the reason the gave for firing me. 

Abhorrent, greedy, and irresponsible.

Blueprint has a very collaborative environment among coworkers and staff on the internal team and among professional services employees. The company attracts strong and talented people with a wide variety of complimentary talents. I felt trusted, respected, and appreciated by my managers and mentors.

The negative part of the company is that it lacks overall consistent direction. Leadership says that they constantly shift priorities (and the organization chart) because they want to flexibly maintain a cutting-edge perspective. Unfortunately, this results in a lack of commitment to long-term operational plans and projects which are continually disrupted, reworked, and left unfinished. It seems Blueprint cannot "eat its own dog food" by demonstrating the services it sells to others.

It has been both an enjoyable and frustrating time here. I want the company to succeed but I am tired of watching Blueprint chase its own tail by hiring, firing, and directing on a whim in an impetuous and poor attempt to follow every temporary industry trend. All else about the company is five-stars!

Overall at the beginning this was a fun place to work, one was accepted in the management "community" from day one. However after a short while it became obvious that upper management is pretty clueless about the main engagement most of the company's employees work on. The amazingly bad communication from top down is terrible, as one has to attempt to communicate that to the floor which doesn't flow very well. Also policy changes are communicated very poorly, regardless of the impact they may or may not have on the entire workforce. No reasoning, no explanation - just deal with it. Furthermore, policies are blatantly not being followed, even by HR and senior management which makes it even more difficult to present changes or reasoning of decisions to the larger audience. And one of the changes was micro management, which was obviously not well received by anyone,especially since the performance figures on the engagement didn't support such behavior. Can't recommend to work there.

I was offered a position at the company. I took a test, it was tricky but not complicated. I was given 48 hours, I sent it back completed a day earlier and was waiting for the results. The HR told me they would take 2-3 days. Well, I have waited for 9 days. When I received the feedback it came as a shock-my test was badly received and the results were too vague to understand.  I felt used and humiliated. If you know what you are worth, don’t ever believe the fishy concepts «the team » says about you. 

There are plenty of red flags of the Blueprint company :
1) consistent flow of employees. They always have opportunities available. So nobody sticks around, right?
2) there is no proper management and quality assurance. Everyone does what they please.
3) impossibility to find out the details of why you were rejected, no backup of facts, just ambiguous word combinations.

I don’t recommend this place to anyone who is intelligent, persistent and aimed at the long run in the company.

While working at this place for the biggest video game publisher, you'd think they'd value your input, knowledge, and expertise. They don't. Upper management lacks transparency, structure, and it's stale. Growth opportunities? Look somewhere else. This is not the place for growth.
Their 2% salary increase is insulting since it's not even guaranteed. It doesn't matter if you work a lot or if you don't, as long as you're on good terms with upper management, they'll decide if you're "worth" it.
The Human Resources team is obsolete. They won't help you out with anything. Complaining about labor rights grants you to be put on the spotlight. They are not transparent at all. 


What is the best part of working at the company?
Blueprint was exceptional to work for.
One of the few companies where you are truly given freedom to work.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I was so engaged in enjoying my work, I would forget to put in my time.  I was never late doing so, with reminders from management.  But, that's really not a bad problem to have. 😀

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Engaged in wellness/wellbeing.  
Always available.
Huge library of experience and diverse ways of mentoring via people to collaborate with.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Worked as a vendor that supplied SME expertise, catered to the client needs.
Blueprint gave me the freedom to work that side of their business model; think autonomy with backup.
