I have never had a job where I looked forward to coming to work on Mondays until I started working for Bridge.  This has been a dream job for me and a blessing in so many ways.  To do a job you love and get well compensated for it, what more can you ask for!  My week starts on Sundays and ends on Saturdays, I'm always brainstorming on new ways to be more effective and exploring growth opportunities within my market.  The company likes to hire people who have a desire to be 
 self-sufficient all the while providing as much support as we are willing to ask for.  Bridge does not hold back in providing marketing supplies and as many resources as we need to be successful.  Bridge culture is big on having an attitude of gratitude and it shows both internally on a pier to pier basis as well as with our customers/referral sources.   We feel that in the same way our clinical team goes over and above for our patients we on the marketing side should be willing to go over and above for our co-workers and referral sources. I have learned so much while working at Bridge. Having no experience in Hospice or the medical field they took a chance on me and I have been very fortunate in the three years I have worked here. Working with so many selfless people. I have grown both as an employee of Bridge and in my personal life.  The hardest part of the job is also the most rewarding and that is in working with families who are having difficulty in coming to terms with losing a loved one. I have been blessed to serve my community in their most vulnerable moments. 

I worked for Bridge and initially had high hopes that it would be the company where I could stay until retirement. The management was engaged with employees, and there was a good balance between patient and employee care. Unfortunately, the company was taken over by investors, and things took a turn for the worse. The new management prioritized profits over people, resulting in a toxic work environment. One of the executives was particularly toxic, using tactics such as encouraging distrust among leadership to get her way. They hide their "hidden agendas" under the "COMPLIANCE" cloak and use scare tactics to control employees.

Don't get me wrong, the old Bridge could have been better, but the organization worked it out somehow because of engaged employees. I used to come to work with an optimistic attitude, but in the last few months I was there, I always felt defeated and dismayed. Seeing the change is disappointing, as the company used to be a great workplace. I strongly advise anyone considering working for Bridge to do their research and pay close attention to any changes in management, as it's clear that the company is no longer the employee-focused organization it once was.

This company is very disorganized. Management is frequently changing. The company can’t retain employees because they don’t pay well and they expect you to travel all over. Other home health companies in the Bay Area pay A LOT more. 
They say they will give you patients close by, but then they ask you ask to travel 35-60 miles away. 
They say you will be full time, but then you only have one patient all week. 
They nit pick charting even though the JC doesn’t expect this much. 
They don’t allow the pre fill selection on Kinnser charting so you have to enter things repetitively each time you chart when it could be saved and used for the next time you chart on that same patient. 
The office staff is rude and they play favorites. 
They expect you to just drop everything in your schedule for their last minute pointless meetings. If you don’t go your frowned upon. 
They use a separate email systems that they expect you to look at constantly when instead they could just text you or email you on Kinnser. 
They don’t give out company phones. 

When I got hired with Bridge, I thought it would be a place I would be at for a while. 
Boy, was I wrong. The company is in dire financial straits. Closing branches left and right. Full time employees are on pins and needles waiting to be let go or go per diem. Within 18 months the cost of the fleet cars has doubled, matching 401k contributions were taken away, and we didn't do anything for Christmas, because it wasn't in the budget. They let people go, and then put more work on other staff members without any merit incentives or wage increases.  You feel taken advantage of as a staff member here, that's for sure! Unrealistic expectations and they grind you to the ground out in the field. Expect staff to cover multiple territories to save money once they let people go.
It sort of feels like working in the 80's... before HR departments even existed. 
Pre-pandemic it was great! Post pandemic, it's extremely cutthroat. Now it feels like I'm working just to make the top 1% even wealthier, and that's a horrible feeling! 

Good luck if you decide to accept an offer with Bridge. 

Working at Bridge Home Health and Hospice has been a deeply frustrating experience. There is a glaring lack of structure and support from executive leadership — communication is virtually nonexistent, even when you report directly to someone in that tier. It’s disheartening to feel invisible and unheard, especially when trying to raise legitimate concerns or seek guidance.
Performance reviews are either sporadic or completely absent, making it difficult to gauge progress or receive constructive feedback. This lack of accountability and recognition is compounded by the absence of raises, which sends a clear message that employee growth and retention are not priorities.
Perhaps most concerning is the overall lack of vision from leadership. There’s no clear direction, no strategic planning, and no transparency. It feels like decisions are made in a vacuum, leaving teams to operate in confusion and uncertainty.
If you're looking for a workplace that values communication, professional development, and a coherent mission, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.


Upper leadership was hired within the last year. Thought this was to improve the company. However found out it was only for them to sit in their homes in other states and dictate to the mid level managers and field staff. They gave unrealistic expectations and fired or forced them to quit. The Clinical Managers, Executive Directors and AVPs who actually come to the offices are amazing.  VP and above are worthless. The culture has turned into one of paranoia, fear and punitive. It's surprising that patients are still receiving care at all. They continue to lay off staff. The field staff are very dedicated but most of them are leaving in droves if they are smart. With the layoffs you will be expected to carry high case loads without getting overtime. Training is poor. Compliance and Education departments just continue to make things so difficult on the leaders and dont provide real support. They have taken over IDG from the doctors. They make you feel like idiots. Morale is very low.  All offices do things differently and polices aren't consistent. 

I can only speak on the home health dept in OC. It’s too much going on and it’s not organized! They expect you to work full time only without having the ability to pay you full time!! They  are in the building up stages at this location ,so I suggest if your looking to be able to pay you bills, Student loans, or just live do not apply here! They will only offer you to do an online application called Relias to supplement your income but it is not efficient when you have a load of paper work and traveling far distances to in between visits. I could not stay somewhere with uncertainty and financially unstable. I think maybe in year or so they will be in a better place, but as of now no. I think you would have to be a fool to stay somewhere that can’t pay you full time to make sure you have full time! Not to mention there isn’t an offer to go part time. I refuse, good luck to them!!

Our main focus is quality care at the end of life. Management is supportive of ensuring that the patients and families we serve receive nothing less than exceptional care. As an employee, there is plenty of room for growth as management believes in promoting from within. What this translates into is that you don’t see new people coming in and making wrong, miscalculated decisions. The culture is wonderful - the team is close and there is NO drama. The care we provide is innovative, able to adapt to the needs of those we serve while sticking to the script (aka medicare guidelines).  The staff that oversees our patients and families are the best I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked in hospice in the Bay Area for nearly 10 years, for 2 other very well-known agencies in the area. Our office staff supports the rest of us out in the field with whatever we need for our patients and families. I am grateful for my Bridge Hospice family and love coming to work each day because our mission and values hold true.

I worked on the administrative side so I did not have to commute very much. I spend most of my days recruiting volunteers, coordinating training for them, and developing programs to retain them. The work place culture is amazing. Communication is top notch as the nurses, social workers, volunteers and attending doctor meet on a weekly basis to ensure we provide the absolute best care for our patients. The hardest part of my job is attracting uniquely talented volunteers, but it is highly rewarding once I find a volunteer that has so much passion and care for the patients as I do. The work is very autonomous, as my boss trust me in performing my job. If you are looking to be micromanaged and told what to do every minute of the day, then this is not the job for you. Everyone is fairly independent when performing their job duties, but highly efficient when communicating with one another.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Hoping that they would keep the company stronger and stay longer in california ie .. increase the census  and stronger marketing  strategies because they have the best nurses , social workers , CHHA and  spiritual counselors 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Diversified, a good communication to each other- even when we don't see each other on the field - we communicate well to give best care on our patients using secured APP to be compliant on HIPAA regulations 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Either assigned routine visit or PRN visit.we communicate via total triage APP - if any patient or family are having concerns , needed a visit or medication refills
