Bridge Property Management

When I joined the company , I was promised a family oriented culture, strong support from leadership, and a healthy work life balance. Unfortunately, my experience was quite different.

The company offers limited paid holidays, yet employees are often expected to work most holidays. Leadership frequently struggles with communication, accountability, and leading by example. There appears to be significant favoritism within upper management, which can create inconsistent expectations and negatively impact team morale.

Many onsite teams are overworked and stretched thin, while expectations continue to increase without meaningful recognition or support. Employee burnout is a common concern, and despite repeated feedback, there seems to be little focus on addressing the root causes. Human Resources was not particularly helpful when concerns were raised, as issues were often dismissed or redirected back to management.

There are many talented and hardworking employees throughout the organization, but the overall culture would benefit from stronger leadership development, greater accountability at all levels, and a genuine commitment to supporting frontline teams. Employees who feel valued, supported, and recognized are much more likely to remain with the company long-term.

I ultimately decided to pursue an opportunity elsewhere and have been much happier in an environment that prioritizes employee well-being, collaboration, and professional growth.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Helping residents with their issues and taking good care of them. The maintenance staff were great to work with as well. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part was working with a manager that created a hostile environment by favoring some people and not being consistent, even with her own rules. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
At my property, the manager would consistently have a double standard. Rehab units were done terribly, but we would get called back on a turn for simple things like a drawer sticking out or a leaf on the carpet that just blew in. Of course sometimes there were definitely issues that needed to be addressed. My manager was always on the attack and I never got any support from her. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Meeting with the techs first thing in the morning and go over the work orders with them and where we were at on the turns. Then I would check emails and call residents to follow up on completed WOs. Then I would walk vacant apts and check on everything in them. After that I would schedule vendors to paint, resurface, clean or replace flooring and then schedule the unit to be cleaned. Then I would check on each one of the guys and see if they needed help or where they were at on a WO or turn. Then I would pull some keys and do some WOs. Finish the day up on the computer and calling more residents.

I worked there for 2 years. Anytime you are in Property Management, your job satisfaction is going to depend on the people you work with everyday. I was lucky enough to work with a great team. As for Bridge, the CEO and other owners always talk about the company as being a big family and talk about treating each other like a big family which is all great but then they turn around and offer their employees some of the lowest wages in the area and the medical benefits are extremely expensive for what you get. I was lucky enough to have a manager that used part of her budget to offer bonuses every month if you met your goals which helped out a great deal. I don't know how the other properties employees lived! The hourly wages weren't bad but the commission structure was laughable. And the so called Christmas bonus was $50. They made a huge deal out of this fantastic bonus everyone was getting and thats all it ended up being. For those of us that had taken on working the new NW properties that were in really bad shape and turned them completely around in less than 2 years, including renovations, stricter move in requirements, getting rid of illegal occupants, evicting criminals, etc, $50 was an insult and a slap in the face. My advice is to check out Holland Residential. Wish I had never left that company. Best commission structure anywhere!

This was the most chaotic, emotionally draining, and stressful job I have ever had. The manager was rarely there and when this person was there, they were not very helpful. This person constantly lied to every employee and then would ask us for favors or expect us to do some of their own work. They would say they were going to do something and then not do it and get mad at you for it not being completed. This person did not know how to separate their personal and professional life. This person was hanging out with residents on and off the clock, drinking and smoking with them. Their significant other would just show up and would ignore the employees until he left. I came in early almost every day and even stayed late sometimes. I worked to the fullest, and still was treated very unfairly. Most of the time I was alone in the office, even when I was struggling and begging for help. We were never fully staffed the entire time I worked there. Even if you go above the manager's head, it will not work. They are all close with each other and cover each others tracks by lying. I was called names and bullied here and not a thing was ever done about it. The environment was so negative with all the cussing, lying, and drama. I called corporate and they never got back to me. This job only caused me stress and was a waste of time. The only good thing was the pay, but do not let that fool you. I do not recommend working for this company.

I don't have a lot of bad things to say about Bridge...However, after working at a 600 unit takeover property, I am pretty burnt out on property management. There were a few negative things that ultimately led to my decision to leave after 4 months.

While the hourly pay was on the high side, commissions were too low for me and that was pretty unclear during the hiring process. I felt like a bother reaching out to my regional manager about this...because of the takeover, everyone seemed too busy to ever really address anything such as training processes...we were given the freedom to create some of our own processes yet many of the Bridge training was just an instruction to review an outdated video that was not too helpful. We were really struggling to stay afloat when we first came aboard.

There are several positives though such as the friendliness of Bridge employees and overall most people were very helpful. I loved the team that I worked with and generally felt like it was a positive supportive work environment. Also, the health benefits were great (besides being automatically enrolled in 401K)...Personally the stress of this property has led to my decision to ultimately leave property management.

A typical day at work would start off with making sure all trash is picked up around the entire property and making sure all harmful and harmful items are disposed of properly. Attend the morning meetings when available,and checking were we are on work orders and make ready s. I tend to always be there to help my co workers in need but always making sure I explain to them how it needs to be done and hands on training. I am used to carrying heavy items throughout the day and when needed such as stoves, fridges, etc. I feel like management has improved by making sure we have all that is needed to perform our job and they listen to our concerns as well. I feel like lots of responsibility comes with this job and many employees don't take it seriously I enjoy what I do and would not change it. I am a man that likes to work with different objects taking things apart and rebuilding them without hesitation, learning different techniques on how to fix something a different way but still following the safety guidelines.

I worked there for just over a year. I was the only non-Hispanic staff in the whole property team. The only other non-Hispanic were the Mormon owners. I was constantly discriminated against on a daily basis, by being called "Guero" pronounced "weddoh" It means pale colored person. I asked for this to stop and it never did.  Also; I was supposed to be eligible for medical/dental benefits after 90 days, but the property manager got fired and the ball was dropped on the paperwork, and I never got it, so after five months I called HR and asked about it, they told me I had to wait until November for open enrollment.  Which would be 13 months after I started.
I would rate this company a -10 if I could.  Screw Bridge Property Management and all they "stand" for. They have no scruples, morals, nor a clue.  And the 50 dollar XMAS bonus was a freaking insult.

I worked at a 52 acre, 600 unit apartment complex.  It was only me and one other groundskeeper, and they only had one housekeeper.  The place is a total joke.  Good Riddance Bridge!

During my time with this company, I found that internal growth opportunities were extremely limited. Instead of promoting hardworking employees who already understood the company’s properties and culture, management often hired externally,  sometimes bringing in individuals who lacked the necessary experience or qualifications. This was discouraging for those of us who consistently stepped up to support struggling locations.

Leadership communication was also a challenge. Expectations were often unclear, and feedback was rarely constructive. The regional management style created a stressful environment where employees felt pressured to comply without discussion or regard for best practices or laws. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking professional growth or supportive management.

As I am going through the categories, it saddens me to write 1 for most of the questions because at one point I genuinely loved my job. 
But you will quickly come to realize that this employer is solely focused on their bottom line and not their employees or the residents that they work for. Understand that when you work for this company, you will be required to do EVERYTHING and they will not appreciate the hard work that you put in.
I have met great customers and great teammate's, but it's management whom I could never stand. They are sneaky, unprofessional and bullies. 
They require so much of you until the point of exhaustion, and do not reciprocate the work and effort that you put in. You are at their disposal.. 
Every negative review that I read is 1000% correct. A job, especially during this time is always a blessing, but this company will make you hate your job, hate to come in every day. The requirements of this position and this management company will leave you unhappy. 

They market the property as newly renovated and ready for lease up. Was hired as a leasing agent and within 6 months I had 0 move-ins purely due to the poor management from Regional and higher-ups. Vendors are not paid on time so they will just stop showing up to work. My regional would consistently cuss out my property manager in front of other employees and prospects. This was brought to HR attention and nothing was ever done about it. Terrible office environment.

Once I quit with Bridge I continued to live on property for a short amount of time. Any work order I put in would be closed by the regional. I brought it up to HR as I felt there was retaliation going on. No response from anyone with bridge property management. I lived over a week in July 100+ degrees out with no AC just because the regional didn't like me. We also didn't have window screens. 'brand new' dishwasher wasn't working. Has no closet doors. I don't know how this place is still running.
