I unfortunately encountered numerous challenges during my time there. 

The working environment at Bridgepoint Hospital left much to be desired. Communication within the hospital was lacking, leading to confusion among the staff. It often felt like important information was not properly disseminated, which affected our ability to provide efficient patient care.

In addition, the management style at Bridgepoint was concerning. There seemed to be a lack of support for staff members, with decisions made without considering the impact on those directly involved in patient care. This ultimately led to a sense of frustration and burnout among the employees.

Furthermore, the resources provided for patient care were inadequate. The equipment was often outdated and in disrepair, making it difficult to provide the level of care that patients deserve. This not only affected staff morale but also compromised the quality of care provided to patients.

Lastly, the overall work-life balance at Bridgepoint was heavily skewed towards work. The expectations placed on staff members were unrealistic, leading to long hours and minimal time for personal life. This contributed to a high turnover rate and a palpable sense of dissatisfaction among the staff.

While I understand that every workplace has its challenges, the issues I encountered at Bridgepoint were particularly disheartening. My intention in sharing this feedback is to shed light on areas that require improvement for the benefit of both employees and patients.

I hope that my honest feedback can contribute to positive changes within the organization and lead to a better experience for future employees.

The place itself is not so bad... Workload varies, patient census is fixed to where it will be no more than a certain number of patients to an nurse/aides. Management could be better. It is a good place if you want to make lots of money working overtime PRN, agency per-diem/travel, or in-house contract, otherwise, look elsewhere for full-time work.

Hardest part of the job is you will be thrown to the wolves from day one with very little guidance, there are never enough supplies to take care of patients, and you will have to think on your feet. A lot of times, things are left undone, and you have to play "Scooby Doo detective" and find out what is going on with your patients. The most enjoyable job was the crew you worked with. The team you have can determine how smoothly/terribly your shift will go. 

Long story short, this is an LTAC... It's going to be tough. The job will be stressful, very demanding mentally, physically, and even more draining due to always being short staffed, existing staff having to take on max loads of patients in which 5/6 of them are totals, there is little to no help when a patient codes/has a rapid response, and you have to constantly be on your own, putting your critical thinking skills to the test....

Typical day at work is full productive, lot of meetings. i learned that know matter how hard or how much effort you put into your trying to improve and provide the best quality care to your residents the administration do not have the empathy they should their staff. they are not supportive. you can be fire just on hear say from other employees. The HR department is not supportive to the employee and nothing is kept confidential as i should be. Management are unprofessionional. they allow their personal feeling to sway their decision making process. The workplace culture was very up beat most of the time. The customer service needs work. The hardest part of the job was dealing with threat of being fired at will by administration for something that had no justification. The law says a person is innocence until proven quilty. This is not the case at this facility. The most enjoyable part of the job was having the pleasure of seeing the residents get well and be able to go back to their homes or where ever would be best for them. I think that it is sad to know that an organization/employer shows no compassion for the employees, yet this is a healthcare facility with a mission/vision that states they care.

This is a great care facility. The nursing staff is awesome. Case mg is helpful  but seems stressed and needs help. Administration is often making calls that they shouldn't make. Marketing is not the best. I see alot of promise in this hospital, so  I am just working and waiting. Pay is fair.   They make great gestures to make staff feel appreciated but we'd feel more appreciated if they actually listened to staff says. A large amount of the staff is very seasoned and has alot of valuable resources but sometimes  Administrator's egos get in the way. The "I'm the boss, so dont tell me how to do things" mentality often causes toxicity in the workplace.  Each patient and employee should be viewed as an individual for their experiences.  Unfortunately that does not always happen.  

This is an update to my review from three years ago. Unfortunately, my experience at this organization was very negative. I did not receive adequate orientation or training when I was hired, which made it difficult to succeed in my role.
The work environment was also challenging. Some colleagues were unwelcoming, and communication from leadership—particularly at higher levels—often felt tense and difficult. Overall, there was a lack of support that made day-to-day work unnecessarily stressful.
I had planned to leave after my first year, but my position was eliminated before then. While every workplace has its challenges, my experience here did not meet expectations.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I really enjoyed working with my team members. They were truly my work family.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of staffing in my department.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was hard work, but doable,  if management would provide you with the resources to succeed.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fixing most problems that occurred the day before. It was very difficult to do the job working with limited staffing resources and complex patients that require so much time.

Overall a wonderful company to work for, with smart, understanding, and capable leadership. They are big on promoting from within and giving credit where it is due. There are so many resources within the company for those who are looking to work with alongside a mentor. You will be successful in this company as long as your are a dedicated hard worker, self motivated, and are honest in asking for help when needed.

Takes forever (Over a month) to bring a new hire in from time of receiving an offer. They tell you that they offer a great mentorship program, but when you start, you are on your own. The RCCs are over worked and treat staff terrible. The fired the best DON we had in years for no good reason. The administrator for the Sub-Acute is HORRIBLE! She should have been fired last year, no wonder this place is getting worse.

BP was a great learning experience for me. There is a a majority of population of nurses and managers that work there and they look out for their own if you know what i mean. the pay was great and i got majority of my experience from there. The nurses like to leave their work for other nurses and make excuses why they couldn't do what they needed to do. Never get to leave on time and supervisors never wanted help out when short on the floor. They make the RN's do care with CNA's which became a lack of respect for from CNA's to nurses.

Seem like RNs hate lpns. All the nurse supervisors on the floor gossip and talk about workers behind their backs. Facility prioritize profits over patient care. Physicians don’t know what they are doing. It’s a very hostile work environment. Clinical supervisors are supposed to be there as a resource and support to staff, but they are unprofessional, lazy, and simply don’t want to help if you ask anything.
