A typical day at work consists of:
•Checking the medication room daily, and stocking appropriately
•Bringing supplies when needed/asked
•Acting as the liaison between the Purchasing department and the various department staff
•Obtaining itemized lists for office and nursing supplies
•Assisting the purchasing director
•Filling out order form for weekly nursing supply order
•Letting purchasing director know when more supplies are needed from various vendors
•Maintaining PAR levels

The hardest part of my job:
Is wanting to get more training to be more self-sufficient. 

The most enjoyable part of the job:
Is helping solve issues, and getting things done so the residents can be happy and recover with ease.

I honestly have no complaints about working here. The work culture is relaxed, allowing nurses to have autonomy in their work, which then makes the patients feel more satisfied with their level of care. I've noticed it's when administration/management is hanging over your neck, both staff and patients feel the burden, which does not apply here. The work load is not all too heavy (at least on subacute the floor I work). It's very reasonable, and most days I don't feel stressed out. Not everyday will be stress-free of course, as it's par for the course in nursing, but it's as stress-free as it can be. The unit managers are always there to help you whenever you need it. Most of my coworkers are also supportive and make you feel like you belong. Can't complain. 

I can't imagine a better healthcare organization to work for. The family operated ownership places an emphasis on the patient and the experience of the staff, something that is not commonly found in this industry. The culture is rich, with staff who carry years of experience and tenure with them. Bridgeway seeks feedback from their staff so they can always work to improve the experience for everybody, and that is so appreciated. I'm not used to having an opinion that matters!

The medical plans are great, PTO is plentiful, and the pay is always fair. I'm lucky to work here and am excited to continue working here for years to come!

If you are offered a job at Bridgeway I advise you to RUN. Horrible work environment, facility is old and often smells horrific. Productivity requirements are completely unrealistic and lead to the lowest quality care. Providers bill for services unethically. Please consider this before placing a loved one in this facility. Management only cares about themselves and doesn’t provide staff with proper resources to succeed. I was provided no formal training for my job as a healthcare provider, I was given a full case load on day 1 and basically told “good luck.” If you are even considering working here, DON’T. There’s many other places that will respect you as a human and provide you with the respect and support you need to succeed. 

Benefits are expensive for family you will live off your paycheck, you are better off being single working there. Company offers 401k but they do not match anything. NOOO motivation or moral. Turn over rate is high. Your hard work goes unrecognizable and supervisors are incompetent of their own department. Not every job is perfect but working there is a place that will make you realize you do not want to be there for a long time. That is why everyone ends up leaving. Beautiful facility but everything else is very unfortunate. On behalf of all the staff, we always wondered if the owners know what is going on in their building. Maybe some day someone will step in, care and fix the problem.

I liked Bridgeway.  Sure I remember complaining while I was there but it was really the things you encounter in every job.  I appreciated it more so after leaving.
The management is money-driven which I'm not stellar about listening to, but they do have a soul and they won't allow quality to fall below a certain threshold at whatever cost. 
I enjoyed the families and residents.  A nice facility brings in a good number of nice families.  
I disliked the 24/7 aspect of it being a facility over an appointment based healthcare organization, but that's to be expected.  

Bridgeway Senior Healthcare is one of the best jobs I've ever had. The owners and management make you feel like family and that only make you want to do better. They make you feel that it's not your job, it's your extended family. You care for the guests because you care and you want to. They respect their staff and there's always help when you ask. Pay is great and the people I get to work with make coming to work fun. Yes, It's busy, but it makes it worth it when you like coming to work. I hope I get to work here for a long long time. 

I worked as a dietary aide at Bridgeway for 6 years, and loved my time there.  The resident's were rewarding to work with, and although sometimes difficult always felt good after.
The Director was kind and cared so much of the residents and employees.  He would cook, dish wash, and get on his hands and knees to clean the kitchen often.
My co workers were also a pleasure to work with, and for the most part, besides a few aides that did not want to work hard, pitched in and made work fun.
I greatly enjoyed my time here and hope to return when I am able.

Bridgeway was good to work for when the old unit managers were there. Now it’s all new management, that have no clue how to run a nursing home, making changes that make no sense and going on. Rampage and firing everyone. They can’t keep control over the flu! A lot of employees got sick with the flu and even with doctors notes they still get put as calling out and get written up for being out sick! This place used to be nice to work, now it is horrible they are always short! They give absolutely nothing to their employees. RUN! Nobody is happy besides the philliphinos they bring from Philippines to work for them.
