I’m extremely lucky. I got this job Feb 2023. You qualify for insurance on the first of the next month from your start date which is phenomenal. No 90 day grace period or anything. That being said how they handle the HSA is lacking entirely. Nobody uses an HSA anymore except for them it seems and it’s lacking in several areas. Insurance otherwise even if you don’t live in NY/NJ is good.
As for the job - I can say I do like it. You do get to take breaks, just nothing excessive- which makes sense. The job entails answering calls from healthcare providers. We take calls from hospitals/providers and it is not terrible. There are times you get someone who isn’t pleasant but the nice ones cancel them out- we have a few in our division that I speak to on a weekly basis. My supervisor is amazing. That being said there are some who do not have a great sup and it shows. There’s a lot of turnover under them, and honestly how they speak to some people is shocking that it isn’t handled. There’s are sometimes some frustrating instances where things can be changed, they don’t go over that with a fine tooth comb and then it gets left up to interpretation. Unfortunately then that leaves some people saying to do one thing vs another. 
The diversity/inclusion though is great and I love the little contests they have for us to get to participate in. 
There’s always room for improvement but I enjoy every day at work. 

Get ready to be mentally drained. The company is always all over the place, they never schedule meetings during your work hours, and they’re always so sudden. You don’t get breaks, and you have to ask to use the restroom. They make up policies every other month, but it’s never in the handbook or in writing. Management is horrible and messy and has no idea what they’re doing; most have zero knowledge when it comes to precerts/prior authorizations. You’ll end up doing their job and yours put together while you get paid way less. Benefits suck big time. The environment is very stressful, and training is horrible as well. They say they do pay raises but don’t. I initially started thinking this was an established company, but it is not. There are constant changes in how to review cases. Poor management; the supervisor could never provide a direct answer when questions were asked. I’ve been here for over a year, and I feel like there’s little to no room for growth. They have their favorites. There’s lots of favoritism going on, and the pay is okay. They don’t really give raises when they should. They also micromanage

I work minimum 8-hour workday in the Casualty Department.  Management is supportive and often gives direction and assistance to help with the workload. 

The hardest part of the job is juggling several clients at a time, but it is manageable with basic time management skills. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with my coworkers, my Manager and the Human Resources department. The company instills a great diversity, equity, and inclusion philosophy. They provide monthly surveys and town halls to provide employee a chance to provide feedback.  They keep the employees informed with company changes. 

They also take a personal interest in their employees. They believe in work/life balance. They coordinate monthly chats with agendas that may affect us personally. Employees are able to provide feedback and reach out for help via several assistance programs provided. HR is approachable and always available. 

As an employee, I feel like I matter to this company. Many companies say it, but another is to actually practice it. This company does and that speaks volumes.  There are employees that have been with the company over 25 years. 

This company is evolving with new products in new geographies and is very much focused on improving current processes and technologies to better support demanding employee and client expectations.

This company does not care about your mental health at all. No room for growth. Recently had a meeting this week for the upper management people and they explained to us they are taking our 15 minute am and pm break away from us as they feel like this is not necessary to us because of the ongoing call volume. This is not the first large and known company I’ve worked for but this is the first time I am now experiencing I am not allowed to take 2 breaks per my 8 hr shift. I feel like it is necessary to have a mandatory break for myself one in the morning and one in the afternoon as I am taking calls back to back for 8 hrs straight. Where is the care and concern at in your large amount of staff members? Is mental health not important to this company? I am really still in shock and in disbelief as to why the company feels like breaks are not necessary anymore. 

Great place to work. Company in  Corporate size with feelings of a close knit family. Great company to work and grow professionally. If your looking for a place to work remotely and feel like you still have human interaction this is the company. We work hard & play hard. Great benefits & work to home life balance. Management shows they appreciate your work and work effort. Always willing to help you learn and understand new things. Eager to promote from within which is great for potential growth within the company.

Benefits suck big time. Very stressful environment, training is horrible as well. They say they do pay raises but don’t. Nor are they reasonable with the days you need off, if someone else on your team has that day scheduled off they will deny it, doesn’t matter if the date is important or not. The only pro is that it’s remote and a Monday-Friday schedule.

The leadership within the IT domain exhibits tendencies that warrant constructive assessment. Instances of interpersonal conflicts and narcissistic/assertive behavior have been observed, contributing to suboptimal team dynamics - including temper tantrums, yelling, foul language, false accusations, and name calling. It is imperative for the leadership to cultivate a more harmonious and collaborative environment that fosters the appreciation and support of team members. Additionally, adapting to a more flexible approach when working with internal clients, external vendors, contractors, and customers would contribute to more productive and positive relationships.

There are some perks of working here like working from home and generous PTO but the overall environment and culture is toxic. Raises are a joke, management is inefficient and if you're good at your job, you'll be taken advantage of heavily and gaslit when you try to stand up for yourself. The system allows for bad colleagues to slack off and do nothing all day (news flash, there's productivity trackers that everyone can see!) with no repercussions, while the good workers have to pick up the slack. I would've stayed here for a long time if it wasn't for the unfair treatment & distribution of responsibilities along with lack of recognition/reward/growth for hard work. It's no surprise why there's such high turnover. 

I have not had a negative working experience here. I have been here 1 year and 3 months starting as an intake coordinator and was promoted after 1 year to team lead. When you take pride in your work you are noticed and rewarded appropriately. My supervisor and team lead were always knowledgeable, and understanding if anything personal arose. Working remotely has always been an advantage and has been productive as well. The compensation for remote work and the work load I have done since working here I feel is to par entirely. Now being a team lead my supervisor now is so understanding, knowledgeable and a team player.
