They have great benefits and help you climb up the ladder.  I like my coworkers because they are knowledgeable, caring and helpful.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being understaffed has been one of the hardest part to adjust to.  They still have the same expectations but yet they want to care for more patients without providing  extra help.  They say they're working on hiring more nurses but yet they don't want to do anything to keep the nurses they have.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is stressful and it feels like management doesn't care. They're trying to make the same amount of money as they did with covid by changing a bunch of stuff.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I work nights and we normally are understaffed.  There's 15 beds, charge nurse 
usually takes 5 patients because  we typically only have 3 nurses.  Five patients might not sound like a lot but we usually get patients dumped on us.  We normally have heavy loads. One tech for 12 hours.

I'm on my feet most of my entire shift until break, which kills my feet and my shoes. It is a very time oriented job. I'm in charge of the linen in the OB Tower. I deal with receiving linen carts and taking them to the tower, unloading them, restocking linen cores throughout the tower, and rotating linen. I also have to fill in as a tech in Distribution. There is a lot of clinical and distribution terminology to learn and is always changing. I also have to answer calls on Vocera/phone throughout my shift. I get to deal with a lot of people out of my Department such as nurses, doctors, environmental services, and occasionally lost patients/family members. Mostly I get to work by myself since my main coworker that also does this job works the opposite shifts as me. I also have to use the computer a lot to issue linen, and issue/credit supplies, order equipment, looking up supplies, and printing labels. This job is always changing, and adapting. My coworkers are very friendly, and helpful. I mostly enjoy getting the chance to sneak peaks at the little babies.

I worked in Support Services at LifePointe and ended up working in child care most of the time.  I was told I would be customer service working with members that came in to the gym, not babysitting their children.  I was told it would be rotating where I may be back in childcare once a month. I was there everyday!  Why can't they hire someone that specifically wants to just be working with children?  
I also got paid way under what I had expected.  I could work at Target, McDonalds, or Costco and start way above where I started here.  I have moved on to Costco where I am customer service and make over double what I made.  I hear it's a great place to work if you are older and have a spouse that makes the money in your household and you don't need good insurance.  
I figured at a medical fitness center you would be compensated better because it's the health field and I felt I would be making a difference in peoples lives. 
Maybe at the actual hospital it's better.

This place drips of poor teamwork, low morale and horrible management. Pay is low with a few incentives. It's an older hospital so if you work in an ancillary department plan on getting your steps in. Management could care less about valid staff issue's, management is oblivious and willing to fill positions with unqualified staff as long as they have a pulse. Your schedule is watched by everyone if you have a day off plan on someone asking you to cover some hours. Burnout and frustration are on high alert with staff in all departments. There are some really great staff but also some lazy one's as well so it's about 50/50 and that makes it hard on those that pull their fair share because you'll also be pulling someone else's share as well.  Would not reccomend working in the CT Department due to an absolute worthless Lead Tech and poor Management that does not support the staff at all.  Avoid this place like the plague it drains the life right out of you! 

A typical day at Bryan Health involved walking on eggshells. I quickly learned that no matter how much effort you put in, it was never enough. Management played favorites and was dismissive of valid concerns. The workplace culture looked professional on the outside but was dysfunctional internally—gossip, micromanagement, and lack of transparency were constant issues. The hardest part of the job was feeling unsupported and undervalued. If you’re hired for an Epic-related role, they lock you into a three-year contract—regardless of how toxic the situation becomes and you’ll owe them $20,000, non-negotiable. They will collect it, even if you get fired. Seems wild coming from a non-profit hospital. Some jobs just aren’t a good fit for people and they don’t care.

Getting reamed every day for having voice mails that haven't been picked up -- between just answering the phone at  in addition to dealing with patients, there's no time. not to mention short staffed. i received very poor training, expected to know every Bryan policy and procedure , which were conflicting with the training i received and clinic policies and procedures. Very dramatic and backstabbing between front desk staff and clinical staff. My leader never pointed out what i was  doing right, and was always there asking why i did such and such. Heck, I barely remembered names, let alone why i did what i did. very negative. I had to take an anxiety pill just to walk in the door, and popped them  all day. Micro. managing and poor pay. Lack of meaningful training, i will never go back to this place.

Started the day by setting of for food service and assisted in food preparation. Did cashiering for breakfast and lunch and in between hours. Did cleaning of food equipment when lunch service was completed and stocked cafeteria. Assisted with inventory and ordering. I learned about food handling and inventory and ordering. I had a great working relationship with all my co-workers and my direct manager. Many of my ideas were considered and implemented by management. Cleaning was a tedious and laborious job, but it gave me time to think and self reflect. I enjoyed greeting and meeting the people that came through the cashier line. I developed many special relationships.

The rehabilitation division within the organization has poor leadership.  Certain people are targeted by upper management and held to higher standards than before.  Preference is given to employees who are the same religious denomination as the supervisor.  Staff outside of this religion are hired, but held to stricter standards.  Expectations are unreasonable.  Management has not real grasp of how the department functions on a day to day basis.  Management leads with fear and intimidation.  Supervisor continually writes staff up for events that do not occur, or based on fictitious information.  When write ups occur, staff are not allowed to leave the supervisor's office until they have cried or appear emotionally broken.  Terrible work environment!

Working with the patients is very rewarding.

Constantly understaffed ( on purpose). Company politics. Favoritism shown to employees that don't pull their weight, but play the politics. Company putting the dollar before the pt. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It is very backbiting. You're just a number. They give employee appreciation gifts and pay lip service, but don't value hard working employees, that put patients first. They favor the employees that play politics.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Understaffed, trying to get everyone taken care of and get everything done when there is no one else on the floor to help.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I loved most of my coworkers. The majority were there for the patients, a few were not. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The mandatory overtime and patient load. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was stressful, the culture did not support the nurse. No one should have lost their job during Covid. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
huddle in the morning before going to the floor, prioritizing your day after, getting to a patient room, and then getting a call to go do something else, prep a pt, lab, etc. mornings were total chaos. Depending on who was the charge nurse that day, set the tone for whether or not you would get help.
