Working here is not all that bad. The only bad thing is they overwork you. The company wants you to run 3 1/2 frames (machines) every work day. There are 480 spindles on one frame. You are running over 1,000 spindles in a day. By yourself. Also, you will have to clean all 3 1/2 frames. The other employees will help you if you need it. You can ask the other supervisors if you can work over or come in early. it Depends on what shift you work. 1st can stay over and 2nd can come in early. Some departments  work 10 hours. Other departments work 12 hours. This is an excellent place to work when needing money. Management makes things a lot easier because they are fun to be around. The employees are like a big family. The job may be too much, but management and the employees make up for it.

Being apart of a great team makes a stressful environment in retail less stressful

Babysitting customers kids and picking up after kids destroy the store because the parents don't pay attention to their kids while they shop

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depending on truck day the environment is calm and friendly but if the truck is late or if we receive more than expected it takes a while to focus on positive ways of getting things done

Friendly with the employees and customers, always put the customer needs first, and mostly tranquil

I would not recommend no one to work for them. After working for them for a year they only give you five vacation days which they take from you for the week of july no matter what. The plant is closed during this week at their choice, the only choice that they give you is to take that week off with pay or without pay and if you do not take it with pay you can use it to go on another check of your choice. You get one fifteen minute break and a thirty minute lunch where you can not go anywhere during this time only to your designated break room, going outside on your lunch is prohibited.

If you're considering Burlington Industries, take note: even recent hires from top competitors are stunned by how behind the times this company is. Processes are outdated, communication is siloed, and the leadership style is rooted in legacy thinking rather than progress. Despite all the talk of inclusion and innovation, the reality is far from it. Decision-making is slow, support is minimal, and the culture does not empower employees to succeed. Morale suffers because those with fresh ideas are often ignored.

If you’re looking for a modern, forward-thinking environment that values efficiency, transparency, and actual inclusion — this may not be the place for you.

The management was the worst part. I can't speak for all locations but the plant in Cordova has terrible upper management. I know for a fact that management considers themselves "above" anyone that actually works on the floor. My supervisor was always in competition with me. Constantly taking credit for my acomplishments and putting all blame on me for any mistakes, even hers. I would never recommend this place. I was mistreated my whole time there. They do not care about their employees in the slightest. Be ready for layoffs at anytime. They know they are laying people off in advance they wont tell you until the time comes... Even though the salary employee are getting paid way more and not even there a lot of the time.

This place only pays $14.30  per hour without no pay increase No matter how long you work THERE!!
They don't pay time in a half when you work overtime.  They pay half time for example if you work 5 or 10 hours over your pay rate  for those hours are  $7..15 when you overtime  pay rate suppose to be $21.45 per hour. They train you on first shift than expect you to go work on second shift at the same  rate.
They don't even give you shift deferential for working on second shift . Job are really easy once you learn how to tie a. Rever knot!! Pay Not worth your time

Reviewing the work of Computer Operators and other operation and assignees responsibility for the scheduling and completing of all operations, the orientation and continued training maintenance of adequate personnel. I have learned in management that you must work together to accomplished your goals. The hardest part of this job is making sure that this work operation operates smoothly by getting what important out first. Most enjoyable part is watching
the smiles on their faces that they had a very good day.

Management is awful. They hire and promote unqualified people and promote their friends.

Hot all the time , dirty , and water always on the floor . Management talks about the employees to other employees.

If you are a hard worker they will work you into the floor , but if you are lazy they wouldn't expect anything from you.

This company had a good management style and it was very aggressive in the growth of their managers. The attitude overall was built on maintaining it business, looking for new business or external growth. Their concepts on new technology was good and their focus to operate within the buget was very aggressive; to the point that it look for new ideas on ROI's and future growth.
