Feedback is risky unless it's perfectly aligned with the current narrative.

The culture promotes inclusion and innovation in theory, but that rarely translates into daily experience. There’s a strong pattern of under-communication and quiet exits. The hardest part is the psychological toll of working in a high-pressure, low-clarity environment. The best part? The ICs—engineers and designers who care deeply and work hard despite it all.

If you’re seeking trust, clarity, or leadership that listens, look elsewhere.

During my first few years, my first impression was great benefits, good organization, and decent living pay. We were appreciated as employees an acknowledged for all our hard work on a monthly basis and even as remote workers we felt like part of an impactful and organized community. Its been 2 years from a major change and so far it’s been nothing short of a mess and miserable experience. You would think that after the CEO, (and now vice president) have been mysteriously pushed out, the company would want to strengthen its relationships with the current jurisdictions and employees, but no. Don’t think for one second that you are appreciated even in the very least. You are just a body that can easily be replaced. The company would rather quickly fire any employees and let the rest of their team burn out. The company will constantly brag about record profits and have the audacity to turn around and give employees a few cents raise (if your lucky) while I’m sure the higher ups enjoy their big bonuses. Remember, a bad manager can take a good staff and destroy it, causing the best employees to flee and the remainder to lose all motivation. Do better BusPatrol for the remainder of the call center and employees and for the sake of the original mission of keeping children safe, and educating drivers.

The job was great when I first started. I even went as far as to recommend the company to people. I loved my managers and the laid back environment. 
Then there were management changes and mass hiring events and everything started to go down hill. The company cannot decide if it wants to allow its employees to work remotely and there seems to be a new rule about it every month. Management will throw pizza parties and tell you it's optional and then turn around 24 hours before the party starts and tell you it's mandatory. There are constant changes to business operations which frequently slow the employees down, leading to decreased productivity and a backlog of work. Management then seems confused as to why production is down when they just added fourteen new steps to our process. 
The CEO apparently just left out of nowhere because one day we got a company-wide email congratulating the new guy on his promotion. I'm not sure what that says about the company but if I created an entire company from scratch I probably wouldn't drop off the face of the earth with no explanation. I'm simply an hourly pleb so maybe I don't deserve to know. 
I suppose this is how it works when a small business becomes a large one. It's unfortunate and disappointing to watch.
I only work on one small team in one sector of the company so I can only speak on my specific experience. Your milage may vary depending on which team you work for. 

BusPatrol America is a great program/company morally. Unfortunately, the company seems to care more about the number of jurisdictions under their belt instead of how to make the program stronger with the jurisdictions they already have. This program has allowed so many wrong/ invalid evidence to get through and when a caller asks for their citation information to be reviewed, it’s left for weeks and possibly months.
 If you want benefits and don’t care about how things will effect you in the long run then this is the job for you. If not, working at buspatrol is not worth the benefits or little game events they have. I was stressed everyday thinking about the people that called for genuine help. This company can do so much better in helping their callers but they don’t even listen to their employees about their concerns unless their company is in danger. I believe you won’t feel this way in any other role except when you’re speaking to the people that receive these citations.

The benefits and pay were great. The company’s day-to-day structure is a disaster and no one seems inclined to fix it. What they’ll do instead is come up with inefficient processes for unnecessary work, further bloating their backlog of issues. Approaching management at any level will not solve this, because when this company talks about Trust and Openness and Family, they are buzzwords. A manager can promise your team to warn of impending layoffs one week, and then dole out a round of sloppy, pre-scheduled Teams and e-mail layoffs the next week; career advancement can be verbally promised by supervisors and then broken on a whim, so excelling in proactive work earns you disappointment rather than accolades. In my time with this company, I never met a manager who had the most recent answer for *any* process-related question off the top of their head. The lack of consistency in this company creates constant domino-falls of confusion across teams. After leaving this company, I feel robbed of a fulfilling and educational work experience.

If you want structure, growth, or management that knows what’s going on — this ain’t it. BusPatrol sells a good dream about “protecting kids” and “innovation,” but once you’re in the building it’s pure chaos. No direction, no real leadership, and no consistency from day to day.

Communication is garbage — one manager tells you one thing, another says the opposite. You’ll do five people’s jobs with no extra pay or recognition. Schedules change with no warning, and if something goes wrong, they’ll blame the techs before they even check the system.

The pay is average, but not worth the stress or commute. Most of the people working here are solid — it’s the management and disorganization that make it unbearable. HR barely responds, promotions don’t exist, and turnover is through the roof. You’ll see people come and go weekly.

Look, the pay was there, for me at least. I was full time. But then again, in this company, the only ''Non-managment'' people who were full time was only 5 people in total. So my hours and check were stable. Unfortunately, because this company is kind of brand new, they're also very stingy. Their excuse was that they did not have enough money. Which talking to fellow employees, that was not the case. I was working there for 2 years, and had asked for a raise or even to move up. I was denied. This place became miserable. Management rather takes care of their own money, then their employees. This place has about 40 people in total, only in the location in Lorton though.. There is no HR. They do have more employees but they're of course traveling the world and work through their computers.

The most difficult part of the job is that the company is growing so rapidly, it often goes from nothing to do, to being completely buried in work from one second to the next. The CEO has created an atmosphere that is just nothing short of amazing. Everyone truly works together, whether you are in the same state, or country or not. If Canada needs help, we help. If the reviewing team needs help, they are going to get that help. 

This is a toxic work environment.  There was a hostile takeover & the cronies are now rising to the top.  This is more of a one stop shop, than anything else.  They apply to the ethos of the employee by indoctrinating the idea that we are saving the children by working this job.  Classic manipulation tactic.  The wages are low & they will work you as an analyst & pay you the wages of a processor.  They can make employees disappear for no reason whatsoever.  Performance does not matter with this company.  They are not inclusive & I have seen the wrong people being promoted for the wrong reasons. 

In this position you are micromanaged from afar. They worry about your hourly production down to the minute yet they also split the group into 2 teams and while one group is busy all day the other group sits around on standby. There’s no feeling of being a part of something here, there’s never been a good team that has half its people not putting in work. The management is extremely poor to allow this to happen. Would 100% not recommend working here.  They also will say there’s a chance to be brought on full time and then may you off anyway even if you have too numbers for them.
