When I first started here I was so excited, but after a while I realized this was not the place to be. Favoritism, cliquish, emotional abusive environment. It was common to get yelled at in front of coworkers on a daily to weekly basis. I often had people coming up to me after meetings to hug me and make sure I was okay because of the yelling and rude behavior from leadership over things you can’t control. This place is very much based on hierarchy and knowing your place. Just do exactly what you are told without enough training or regard for personal or professional boundaries. The gossip and politics are bad and the leadership team is very competitive with each other. Many of the staff were stressed and pulled into the politics of the executive team. Executive team is openly rude and condescending. Their expectations are very high and much of the office staff was running ragged and working all hours of the day. Burnout was very bad and physical pain from burnout are common amongst staff. My whole dept. ended up quitting. Now that I am gone I feel much better about myself at my new job. 

Butter sculptures and packing done here - nothing to do with turkeys. Fast pace all day. $12 an hour if you start with a temp agency, after you are hired in it goes to $12.25 an hour. The 2nd and 3rd shift get a $0.50 premium. 

Frequently people would be hired and they would walk out - all in the same day! Long hours (13 hours for the Flavor room, once) starting the work day as early as 4am and 5am for the 1st shift; frequently 6 days a week for all 3 shifts - but not for all the production lines. 

Despite the long hours most people who quit, said it was management they had problems with. I heard this from a contracted security guard. 

Because of the pandemic most employees don't have a place to sit and eat. This was brought up to upper management and the woman's response was that they need to plan their breaks better, with out any further coordination or follow-up. 

I really believe that unless the owner steps in to make some needed changes, this company will not be functioning at a healthy pace - post Covid-19.

My experience working at Butterball Farms was extremely disappointing. From the outside, the company promotes a positive culture and claims to care about its employees, but that was not my experience. It often felt like employee appreciation and concern were more for appearances than genuine support.

Communication was inconsistent, concerns were not always taken seriously, and employees often felt undervalued. Instead of feeling like a respected member of the team, I felt like I was just expected to keep working regardless of the challenges being raised.
Every workplace has its issues, but what stood out to me was the disconnect between what was said and what was actually done. The company talks a lot about caring for its people, yet many employees felt unheard and unsupported when it mattered most. My boss was never available and never knew or cared what was going on. 
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Butterball Farms as an employer.

Butterball Farms is an amazing place to work, out the 19 yrs I learned so much I've learned GMP's Food Saftey, Haccp, Lean manufacturing, 5's, Quality training, sanitaion training, Swabbing, testing lab results, Leadership training, supervisor training. People skills, The hardest part of my job was adapting to change, however once change was made, I realized it made my job a whole lot better. the most enjoyable part of my job is the company is very family oriented.

Butterball Farms is a great place to work for. They have integrity in all interactions as we as promote continuous learning and innovation. Our biggest customer is Mcdonalds Resturaunt across the world which makes me a proud employee to know that billions of people enjoy our product for so many years.I work with a team of guys that work hard to diligently pursue excellence.

In my experience with Butterball farms the people here are some of the nicest people around. Everyone greets you in the morning. The owner of the company tries to be around as much as possible, and he also has lunch with all the employees once a month for birthdays. We receive gift cards every year on Christmas. We get company discounts on things like, Amusement Parks and Theatre shows. Just really nice people and fun to work with.

I worked as a production worker.I typical day a wok was both fun and hard some day. My manager was nice, she would always keep you in line. My co-workers were fun to work with, helpful. The hardest job was when I had to lift the boxes and place on skid. The most enjoyable was learning how to perform other task, such as working in another department on another job task.

its a ok place to work only thing is the pay is not that great at all also not to many things to advance your self in they  have a compensation pack I think it could be better its not really a big place to work for the management  its ok  think they could pay there people more the culture its great its a job if you don't have a family to take care of.

Putting on my uniform getting to me line and starting production at 7am. i leaned that our company, their biggest client was McDonalds. I enjoyed that fact that I was in Production for a Company that serviced one of the most popular fast food company in the world. I enjoyed the fact that it was more of a family suited company and all employees work an a team as a team.

Good job for first time job seekers……Hours are okay at times……but required to stay till job is finished if .management sucks for the most part of the problem is management and the gossiping workers as well. I wouldn’t recommend working here if you have a family.
