If you are looking for a quick and easy paycheck in between jobs, this will suit you. 

If you are looking for an actual job you can be satisfied in, that pays well, that offers advancement, this is not the job for you.

In Detail:

Favoritism is, unfortunately, something you will find almost everywhere you work. Here is no different. If you're a favorite, you get to walk around and talk to people, or put up holiday decorations while everyone else works. You will get to break the rules. You will get to do things like chat instead of having to be on the phone, etc. 

Management has NO communication skills. They run around like chickens with their heads cut off. They don't tell each other anything, and they sure aren't going to tell you anything. "The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing" is the best phrase to use with these people. 

As far as not telling YOU anything, you can walk in one day and they will tell you they've moved you to another desk, with no warning. If you've spent the last three months doing chat everyday, and suddenly come in and you're on the phone for the rest of your time there, don't expect an explanation, even if you ask. If they deign to give you an explanation about anything, it's usually a lie. 

I don't know how many times I was told I couldn't have my phone out. I would get called out by the one manager who sat at her desk and played Candy Crush right in front of everyone. We were told we could not eat at our desks, but guess what management brought in? Chick-Fil-A, Dominoes, Subway, McDonalds, and whatever else they felt like eating. Their favorites were never called down for these two rules, by the way.

The trainer will make it sound like God came down from heaven and created the company for your happiness, and they will lie about all the bad things you have to deal with. It's a very rude awakening to get out of training and found out almost everything you were told is a lie. 

I have watched other people get fired because of "call avoidance" when in actuality, the soft phone software has messed up for the umpteenth time. Management does NOT believe that the software messes up, they think you're lying, always.

If you move up to the next position of responsibility (tier 2), you get one whole dollar as a raise, but your actual responsibilities increase by a lot. You get pressured by management and they expect you to do a lot of extra work for no extra money. I have personally witnessed people quit when they realized how much they were expected to do for $1 extra an hour.

Also, if you want to use the bathroom? Take a call? Go to break? Go to lunch? You always have to ask permission, and sometimes you are told to wait 5-45 minutes extra before you can go. Also, there are two people in management who will ALWAYS make you wait five minutes no matter how slow or busy it is. I think it's a power trip.

And finally, they do not care if you have a life outside of work. All they care about is "business needs". Just try working there, and asking why you can't go to break on time, or why you're being forced to do an hour of mandatory overtime everyday. It's because of "business needs".

This job does not treat you like a person. You will probably see many reviews about the place, some saying it's a good place to work, and some saying it's a bad place to work. As far as I'm concerned, if you try working in the Scotts program, at the Kings Mountain location, it is an awful job.

I have also personally witnessed half a dozen people get together and go above management's heads with complaints about all the above things I have mentioned. One person in particular kept meeting with the Site Operations Director and after 3-4 months, there were still no changes or improvements.

The only good thing I can really say about this place is that my co-workers were amazing and friendly people, they supported me in everything I did and never gave me a hard time. They took time out of their day to say hey to me, and over all, they were very sweet. I miss them for sure, but that's all I miss.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention - Do NOT go to Human Resources with any complaints. They are not professional, they will talk about your complaints while on their smoke break and tell management, too. Complaining about management will get you no where, I guarantee it.

C3i is best for those with little education or experience and those who live with their parents or roommates. You won't make enough money here to support yourself unless you get a ton of government assistance. 

HR is a joke. Even Directors joke about recruitment but no one does anything. That's a pretty common theme around here... complain but don't take any action. 

HR is unprofessional, rude and tells confidential info about employees on the smoking patio. If we have an issue, we can't go to HR because she will just tell our superior what we said and there is retaliation. She's too chummy with some of the leaders and the reps on certain teams won't talk to her because she won't hold her "friends" accountable. If we try to go above her to talk to another HR, the exact same thing happens, they tell her what we said and now she's talking about us on the smoking patio. I've seen it happen repeatedly. 

I'm in leadership and well aware that clients pay upwards of $25-30 per hour for phone reps and they are only paid $10-$12 per hour. If you threaten to leave, they'll usually offer you money to stay. I've seen it too many times to count. Your yearly raise is 1-3%, if you qualify but some teams make the metrics hard for even good employees to meet so they can save their budget. 1-3% is typical in the industry but when you are already paid very low, this doesn't amount to much. Getting a 10 cent raise is humiliating but that's the norm around here. No wonder we have almost 80% turnover.

We get "stars" and even if we don't want to use them to get gift cards, we're still taxed for it. Gift cards don't help pay bills. 

They say there is continuous leadership training. This is absolutely not true. Maybe once a year someone from another site will hold a week of classes for leadership. Not everyone can go so some leaders are left out and might get another chance next year. 

Pay isn't consistent. Some managers make 10k more a year with the same experience, tenure and program complexity. The gap between hourly and salaried is really big. Account Specialists basically do 80% of what a Supervisor does and they're paid almost half and cap out at $12 an hour. 

Managers and Supervisors (even some Directors) are involved in the high school drama. Everyone knows everyone's business. This place doesn't hold water, no one can keep their mouth shut. Several employees are currently suing because of this.

Bottom line, if you are educated and need to support yourself and/or your family, you're much better off to work somewhere else. There are much better jobs out there!!!

The first thing you'll be told when you interview at Telerx is that it's "getting your foot in the door" at Merck, and you'll be eligible for Merck jobs after one year. This is a lie - Telerx does not post any Merck jobs, and since Merck is already outsourcing more and more work (i.e. Merck-level jobs and responsibilities for Telerx-level pay and benefits), they have no reason to even consider Telerx people for jobs. 
They talk a big game here about culture and values, but their culture is hopelessly corrupt. 90% of posted jobs already have someone specific who will get the position. Cronyism is in full swing; job descriptions are changed for the people they want (i.e. many times jobs are changed to "college degree preferred" when a favored applicant doesn't have a degree). Jobs are awarded by who your buddies are or who you take smoke breaks with. Candidates are denied because the company doesn't want them to leave their current posts, etc. They have no loyalty to long-time (or short-time) employees at all. 
Management is a mixed back. For the most part, the company has succeeded in creating an entrenched middle-management class that, for the various reasons outlined above, are far beyond their level of ability. However, Telerx will never demote a poor choice, so they will linger on until retirement (or the increasingly common lay-offs). This makes it near-impossible to advance. 
The only bright spot: co-workers. There are some good people working at Telerx, which may be the only reason to keep coming in each day. Also, most positions don't require any take-home work, so everything can be left at the office. 
Even so, when the old "keep assigning more work to the good employees" game gets more and more severe, the low pay and soul-crushing atmosphere gets too much to take. Stay away. 

As a Hardware Tech, you will witness leadership continuously slack off on their job duties and responsibilities. It is a frequent occurrence that one will ask for direction from their leadership only to be met with hostility and a lack of encouragement for wanting to do things "by the book.", which often results in being subjected to hush-hush comments made towards your intelligence. The leadership within the hardware building is clique-based, which promotes favoritism towards individuals who "fit in." Overall, the work itself is not difficult, but it would be a rare occurrence where one would have a day that things went well. On the upside, your fellow hardware tech is also in the same position that you are in so a lot of collaboration between individuals will benefit you greatly. The benefits package offered here is horrible, for example the health insurance offered to hardware techs has a $4,000 deductible which thereafter you're still required to cover 30% of the cost of any visit, even emergency rooms, out of pocket. The most enjoyable parts of the job are being able to watch shows on your phone, even though it's "not allowed", everyone does it anyways. The salary offered is okay, but the growth opportunities are slim and the turnover rate is so high that many people don't receive pay raises before they get cycled out. Annual raises are commonly between $0.10-0.13, so don't get too excited if you last long enough. 

Typical day at work will include sitting at your desk and taking phone calls and emails about computer issue that user's run into or requests  for access to shared drives and mailboxes and whatnot. Depending on the time of year, it can be very slow and you can find ways to entertain yourself while waiting for requests to come in. I'm lucky enough to have a knowledgeable team to work with so I never run into issues where I don't know what to do with. As an entry level job it taught me alot about windows troubleshooting, printer troubleshooting, some basic server and networking knowledge, and some company specific knowledge that taught me how businesses work and act. 

Management is decent. No complaints. The manager that I reported to went above and beyond for me and offered help where I wasn't expecting it. He was very helpful.

Workplace culture is very casual. Business casual when clients visit. Coworkers have time to joke around and talk with each other.

Hardest part of the job is logging the work and making sure that you leave an adequate paper trail of everything you did to resolve an issue so that other's can follow suit in case the issue is repeated.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the gratitude you receive from resolving user's issues. I also enjoy learning new things at work, although after 3 years of being with the company I feel that the time for a change is natural.

I worked here for about 4 months. For their Kraft Heinz project. I enjoyed it. The pay is decent and it is a remote position. I like that they give you the work equipment. They reuse headsets while everything is new. That is the yucky part but it doesn't bother me too much. 

The training is simple and pretty straightforward. It is basic call center stuff but this project can be pretty dead at times. You get a little break of no calls and it is nice. 

The one thing I feel they should improve on is flexibility. They are extremely big on attendance and dock you for everything. It is hard to work with it especially if you are a single parent without any type of support system and no one to assist you. If anything happens for example: kids get sick, have accidents at school, or things that just happen out of your control.. you get a point for it and you'll be separated from the company.

At the end of the day, it is just a basic call center job and that is all it will ever be. 

The project is nice, I feel you learn a lot about what you are working for and it's interesting when it has to do with products you might be using on your day-to-day life. 

I dislike how harsh they are on attendance. I get it though. But I feel they should be more understanding on how rough things can be especially for single parents of multiple children who are trying to make ends meet. 

This is a work place for those seasoned in customer service as you will hear everything and anything on the phones. If your skin is not thick, avoid.
There are many very great people who work here and the camaraderie amongst co workers is great.
As a representative, expect to be micromanaged constantly. You will be expected to be logged into your phone at all times and everything you do is monitored and evaluated as "proper use of time". This includes asking permission to use the bathroom. Calls are monitored and scored based on call handle expectations. The evaluation of the calls is VERY inconsistent. There will not be much variety in what you do during the day. Expect to answer call after call for 8 hours straight. Also expect that you will be reading from a script and micromanaged about that as well. Clients are leaving the business at an alarming rate, so job security is non-existent. Turn over is very high. Plenty of favoritism, advancement is about who you're friends with.
For a call center, the pay and benefits are quite competitive. So long as you do not take the work day home with you, there is a good work/life balance.

I have worked at C3i Solutions (formerly Telerx Marketing, Inc.) for more than six years. My first two years were very productive and enjoyable. However, the last four years have been very stressful due to the change in ownership, the lack of support from senior management, and the salary. In my 6 years, I have had four vice presidents to come and go. During my third year with the company, we merged with C3i Solutions, and I watched the leadership abandon ship, leaving the associates and lower-level management with little to no support. Trying to get the resources you need to do your job or making an appointment with HR is like pulling teeth. Lastly, the company pays below industry standards. Up until the end of 2017, the starting hourly wage was $8.50. Account Supervisors make less than $40,000 annually. The average salary for a contact/call center of this size is about $45,000 or more annually. Several managers have Bachelors or Masters degrees but do not have a salary to match their education nor their experience. I would not recommend this company for anyone who has years of experience. This company is better suited for someone new to the workforce and wants to get entry-level experience.

I've been working there for about 5 years and on my team specifically, I cannot advance any further in my position so that is a big downfall. Your team really depends on how your manager is, they can make it or break it. It's a fun place to work but you never know if you will have a slow day or fast day since it's a call center. The job is easy to learn for some but many people just can't get it. You have to be good with computers and learn fast and multitask. Health benefits are meh, PTO is good starting off with 2 weeks per year. for full time All major holidays are paid and off for most programs, no weekends for most programs. The company just got purchased by another company, so future is feeling not so secure. Nurses actually make decent money comparable or even more than most care facilities or doctor's offices but if you don't have a degree or nursing license you really won't make much here.

This is a great company to work for, but their pay is simply not anywhere near enough for a single person to support themselves. If you don't have to pay your own rent or bills or your own health insurance, this will work out well for you.

The amount of knowledge they require to you have to perform the job is incredible. There is a paid training period of between 2-4 weeks to learn the first level of your CSR position. There are several more tiers of training after the first, and ongoing evaluations of your phones and input skills. After certain levels are reached, there is a slight raise. 

I am not able to take advantage of the health benefits because if I did, my paycheck would be negative numbers. 

There is a very high turnover rate right now because of their pay rate. Once it sinks in to the new hires about how much work they'll have to do, they don't stay past a day or a week. 

The managers are wonderful and very good at what they do. I wish I had had any one of them with me in the jobs I've had in the past.
