Understanding the environment and expectations will be critical to your success. This is NOT a cookie cutter corporate setting. It is a "family" environment but not to be mistaken for a free for all. You have to be willing to be accountable for your results and stay focused on your outcomes. 

There are some cultural/structural norms and processes in place that may be different from other institutions in the industry from what may be more common when it comes to meetings, reporting and activities...but if you are willing to buy in to the CBT College way, and attack your role with a consistently positive attitude and clear vision of productivity, you will have every opportunity to succeed. If you join the organization wanting to do everything how you have done it at other companies in the past, and are reluctant to learn and adapt you will struggle.

The opportunity to work hand in hand with company owners/founders/leaders is one that allows you to get a more holistic understanding of the vision and direction of the company on a daily basis. Combine your own industry experience, the company's vision and approach and a consistent work ethic and there will be opportunities for growth if you can show your productivity and value.    

The organization is very much student-centric and this goes a long way in building a culture where everyone needs to willing to participate and support student focused initiatives. If you can not be a part of the "all hands on deck" culture when it comes to delivering an appreciative and engaging environment for the students then this may not be the organization, or even industry for you.

I do not recommend seeking employment at CBT Technology Institute. Senior leadership has created a toxic and unfulfilling work environment that does not foster employee growth or professional development.

Ideas and suggestions are often met with criticism rather than collaboration, and employees may experience belittling remarks that discourage innovation and open communication. The culture is characterized by frequent criticism and micromanagement, which can make it difficult for employees to feel empowered or valued.

Individuals seeking an environment that encourages professional growth, constructive feedback, and career advancement may find this organization lacking in those areas.

At CBT College a typical day for me was like going to a place where you can always look forward to both learning and socializing with people. I've leaned how to do a number of things such as trouble shooting an air conditioning system to repairing it among things, the workplace culture was great, we have people of different backgrounds and ethnicities but we operated as a unit that was willing to lean and appreciate each other, I would say the hardest part of the job was the language barrier as some of them speak Spanish and i speak English. The enjoyable part of the job for me personally was the level of satisfaction i get when we identify a problem with a air conditioning system diagnose  and fix it,   

I felt Welcomed, Respected, and Appreciated since my first day at CBT College.The company promotes a culture of Servant Leadership which manifests itself in the great care and responsibility that is shown to ALL employees, their families, and the community. I also love all the little things that make each day fun…start days for the new students, food days, holiday celebrations, and much more! It kept me energized to come to work each day. It was a Collaborating environment. Everyone was treated as family! Employees care about their jobs, the company, and each other - Flexible schedules -Very friendly and professional work environment - The list is truly endless!

I was a manager at CBT for almost 2 years. What I enjoyed most about working at CBT was the freedom to recommend new ideas and test them. I felt supported and management always took the time to invest in my professional development. The people I worked with were all great people and even on stressful days, I never felt overwhelmed because I always had support. The only reason I left the company was because I moved out of state. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an opportunity to overcome challenges and grow professionally.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Confortable enviroment, wonderful cooworkers, the laboratories of PLC's room are very good.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No stress, I worked there without stress, I like to teach Automation technicians

It is an environment with a high professional level, and very respectful.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The parties schedule, and the activities with the student

This school had so much potential but due to the family ownership and the unqualified and deeply unreflective children of the owner who run it, this place simply became a toxic work place that only people who couldn't speak English would stay at. They should be investigated. There is no reason why this school should continue to exist. I think it takes advantage of the poor Hispanic and Black students who have little options.

Wish courses will be more affordable  for students

Only morning  or night classes schedule

CBT college has multiple  locations. South campus was very good with the students

Teaching and helping students is very rewarding

Hi, I work there like 11 Yrs. ago I love this company the owners they’re exceptional, the Llerena Family’s they’re  great people’s  , there are always people who are not good but that happens anywhere in the world, I really appreciate the opportunity they gave me 11 Yrs.ago I don’t know what about this company at this time, but in my experience was great 👍🏼

You can really grow from the experience of working at this company. Its a great pleasure to teach the next class of students the tools and knowledge they need to be great electricians of tomorrow.
