Work-life balance at CC Young is okay if you manage it well  they change the schedules with short notice and sometimes you had to be at different locations and a then your co worker's  that were not originally from the us would question what c was going on like they were the mangers

Pay & benefits
My pay and benefits at CC Young were okay but if you didn't clock out at exactly what was on your schedule you didn't see the money and i never had to use my benefits because didn't work there long enough to use them

Job security and advancement
In terms of job security at CC Young, I think that suck. There is no job security if you mess up your fired

Management
In general, managers at CC Young do not know what's going on and are not very helpful they write down things to do at the close of service and some coworkers think because they have worked there longer they only have to do certain task at the end of each shift

Culture
Collaboration with my colleagues at CC Young was hard because alot of them were not originally from the United states and i guess were stuck in their way of working with others

Overall
My experience working at CC Young started off good but ended horrible im embarrassed to say i worked there at times because of how i was treated

Applied for a position as an admissions nurse. Interviewed and thought it went well. Was told the next day that the position had been filled when in fact I was told when I interviewed that it was still open. Was offered another position of working as a charge nurse for the 3 to 11 shift with weekends off or working the 11-7 shift as a supervisor but had to work weekends. These types of positions were never advertised when I initially applied. I declined the offer. I felt like the only reason they brought me in to interview was that staff is needed and the admission nurse was just a front to get you in the door. I don't think there ever was an admission nurse position. Disappointed as I really wanted to work there. Management should have been honest about what positions are really needing to be filled rather than getting you in the door to interview and then pull a  "bait and switch".  Some of the staff I met during the interview were really nice. 

A typical day at work is when I come in at work me and my co-worker would get together to tidy the kitchen before the memorial residents were ready to eat. Around 9AM pots would be there and the amount would have to be cleaned and restored to its proper location. Typical teamwork was used here to ensure that the Elderly residents where suited and the chefs and head chefs of the kitchen could continue their job. Management is great as they're there with you to ensure proper kitchen work and cheffing. My co-workers and I worked well together as we had much time to talk as we drove carts of food around the campus, building to building to the many other kitchens and kitchen staff. The hardest part of the job is was the delivery of food to the other stable buildings of the campus of C.C. Young Memorial Home and the most enjoyable was working with the staff in the kitchen.

My typical day at work will start with assisting with baths/showers as directed. I change linen on occupied and unoccupied beds. I assist oral, hair , skin and peri-care as directed. I prepare patients for procedures as directed. I assist patients with bathroom needs- beside commode, bedpan, urinal, catheter care.I assist patients walking , positioning in bed , moving from chair to bed -- includes transferring and lifting. I learned how to take care of residence and how I should treat them. I have a very helpful and responsible co-workers.The hardest part of the job is to see the residence suffering and the enjoyable part of the job is that being able to help them. The other enjoyable part of the job is to see the residence happy.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The residents. Every place of employment has issues.  If you come to work on time, focus on what your duties are and you give 100% during your 8 or 12 hr shift it all works out great.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The benefits. I feel that the company should have better options 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Like any other environment and culture. Say focus on what your job is. How would you want your family treated. How would you want to be treated.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I’m on time, making rounds, getting report from the off going nurse, and respecting all involved with work with me.

Ccyoung was good when I first started, bit then came management turnover, and they slowly started getting rid of people me included.

The company won't give you a raise, they won't give a reason why they fire you except the same old excuses that they're doing management change or pay cuts for budgets.

They are a non profit so don't expect anything special for employees.

All the left over money goes towards the residents and the events for the residents.

Other money goes to administrative people.

So to sum up this place...
Do not work here if you value your dignity and trust. They fire the good employees and keep the worst ones. 

Typical work day stressful overbook scheduling. you learn how to be two-faced. Management is ok. till you don't want to work ya day off. the workplace culture is ok. the hardest part of the job being accepted as a real person. the most enjoyable part of the job is taking care of the elderly and seeing them happy. 


They are good at being cheap and cheating you out of your money they lie very underhanded. they switch ya schedule without notice. 
will not accommodate you but wants you to accommodate them so they want to have to fill in...

All they do is gossip with the CNAs in the office eat food all day

I always try to look at the good in something no matter what, but CC Young is NOT a decent workplace.
Many of the nurses there have bad attitudes. (In my opinion) Even if you make a complaint about it, nothing will be resolved.
The duties of certain job positions there are VERY hectic! They put a lot of work on one person. It can/will mess with you physically!!!
It demands a lot of your time. On top of that, CC Young doesn't give raises at all.
There's people that have worked there for over a decade and haven't received anything but a "lacking" bonus check (which isn't much at all!)
It's many other issues there too, but it'll require a lot of typing on my part.
Also, management is selfish and will NOT have your back!

Benefits,facility nice and clean,you are greeted with a good morning by most

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
MANAGEMENT....EITHER YOU ARE BEING MICROMANAGED, TOLD HOW YOU DON'T HAVE MUCH TO DO IN YOUR POSITION AND COULD DO MORE AND NO ONE IS ON RHE SAME PAGE UNTIL YOU ARE THE CENTER OF RETALIATION BY THOSE WHEN YOU DON'T CONFORM TO THEIR DISRESPECT

It has a good days and it has its bad days.


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very productive although I'm told I don't have much to do

I would start my day with greeting all of my residents . My primary goal is to serve the food on time. I don't like to make them wait so much. My co-worker are very nice and help me . The hardest part of the job is the salary. I don't mind to work hard , but i like to see a good check too. The most enjoyable part of my job is to see the residents happy and satisfied. I care and respect them so much. I have a great thirst of knowledge , so i like to ask and learn. The management is good. They know what they do. I learned to value my life more and understand the human nature. I learned to be patient .
