If you want to be treated as a beast, Yes HPMC it's the place where to be. Unprofessional staff, "managers" HR management who also comes every morning to police nursing staff, Doctors who are RUDE, UNPROFESSIONALS, IDIOT'S AND FEEL LIKE GOD BECAUSE THEY "BRING PATIENTS" TO THE "HOSPITAL". Dr. Usually comes to nurses lunch break room while staff is at luch to "SERVE THEM COFFEE" violating staff breaks. In case you refused to do so, they immediately complained to "HR". HPMC "BENEFITS" ARE the worst a human being can have. No pension, poor 401k, medical you have to spend 60% out of pocket. Not to mention the several labor violations they commit.

POOR MANAGEMENT!!! They actually promote a culture of work place violence, retaliatory actions are expected from superiors, upper managements will lie to your face, while working there so many preventable work place injuries happened. Nasty people from the top down. The sad part is that pt care staff is good put placed in a work environment so bad it makes it hard for us to provide safe quality healthcare that is pt centered. Management has pt care as something secondary or tertiary, their bottom line is the first priority of HPMC.
Find work elsewhere if you value your happiness and sanity!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The Hourly pay is way better than those "star" hospitals.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When Management don't do anything for any suggestions given to improve patients' care.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
When RNS are full time employees, they are great nurses helping out the CNAs but if nurses are TRAVELERS, they sort of reluctant to help and assist CNAs.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start with the huddle, endorsements from previous shift, check assigned patients and know their needs.

What I enjoyed the most working at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center was the people I worked with. We've become a small family within the respiratory therapy department. Not only my fellow RTs but the nurses as well. That's why it was so hard to leave after the hospital decided to outsourced the department. The best 6+ years of my respiratory therapy career was at that hospital. Now, I am looking forward to create new memories at the next one.

Working at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center is wonderful and at the sametime hecktic for an orderly/patient transporter. At my time there i learned many things such as, communication, team work, discpline, punctuality. Management and co-workers were great towards the treatment of there employees as well as scheduling. I think that with this there is no hardest and easiest part of the day because it is constant movement and interaction with staff and patient.

Co-workers & Patients and my Director who cares for everyone on the Unit

No one listens to the workers on every Department echo's & feelings

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Over whelming &  burnt out by end of shifts

Most of the staff are helpful and friendly and always willing to work together, however it feels like nurses are so undervalued here. Nurses are very overworked which is probably why turnover rate is so high here. It's unfortunate cause Management is great and supportive. It's not enough to makeup for the poor working conditions and also terrible benefits. 

Working in this place was like a second family staying 12 hours despite  the chaos and exposed to violent behavior and high risk of abused verbally and physically by patients and their relatives relative to the risk faced by other healthcare workers. The reason for this is the close proximity of the nurses to their patients.
 Staffing problems esp. if there's a sick call no staff replacement.
Team work is the excellent.

I am a seasoned nurse who has worked at a level 1 trauma medical center, a nationally recognized research medical center and a small for profit specialty hospital and CHA Pres. This is by far the most disorganized, stressful, traumatizing place to work. Nurses are treated terribly. Patient care and safety is not the priority. Management is quick to assign blame but doesn’t provide resources or support.

It was such a great honor to work with the organization that provided a high quality of care in large variety of services to serve people in Los Angeles area.Staff are so friendly ,supportive and have strong commitment to promote patient healing processes.
