I’ve been working as a CNA on the midnight shift, and while there are some positives, there are also some serious issues that need to be addressed.

The pace is generally manageable—sometimes slow, sometimes fast—but that part is fine and expected in healthcare. Management on the surface seems okay, but once you’re working consistently, you start to notice the deeper problems.

One of the biggest issues is lack of teamwork. A lot of the time, you’re left to handle things alone because certain coworkers don’t step up to help. There’s no accountability or real team dynamic on some shifts, and that makes the job harder than it needs to be. When you’re working in a facility where patient care should be the top priority, it’s frustrating to feel like you’re doing everything on your own.

Another major issue is with scheduling. The scheduler will often pressure staff to pick up shifts—even when we decline or genuinely can’t. “No” isn’t respected, and it puts a lot of stress on staff. Calling off or requesting time off is incredibly difficult, even when the reason is valid. There’s no flexibility or real understanding for life outside of work.

Understaffing is a constant issue, and it’s mostly due to poor planning and lack of support. We’re often short, which leaves patients underserved and workers burnt out. On top of that, staff are regularly bounced around from unit to unit with no warning or consistency. As a full-time worker, it’s hard to build a routine or feel stable when you’re always being moved around without clear communication.

Inconsistent communication and lack of clear direction from leadership make it even worse. There are times when you don’t know who to go to for certain issues, and when you finally do ask someone, you’re sent to three different people before getting any answers. That kind of environment wears you down.

If you’re someone looking for a reliable, supportive workplace in healthcare, I would say this facility has potential—but a long way to go when it comes to treating their staff fairly, communicating clearly, and actually functioning as a team.

Where do I even begin. This job has its favorites and you will learn fast that you are not and will never be considered one unless you've been there for a while. The lazier the better. That's what they like. I have seen so many good employees get fired, ones that weren't just there for the paycheck and actually cared about their residents. They push your limits here, get you to your boiling point and act like the victims after. They watch the wrong people. I have literally had to almost do someone else's assignment because HE was constantly in the breakroom and every one knew about it. They would always be looking for him yet nothing was done. Cadia is considered a smoke free facility yet HR put a an ashtray out back for one employee in particular but dont allow others to go out on their 15 mins to smoke elsewhere. HR is a back stabber. Smiles in your face but doesn't care about you at all. Will throw you under the dirt after setting you on fire. Worst HR in history. I dont undertand why she is there. All she does is walk around and gossip and not her job. No one who had a problem would EVER considering talking to her cause she's just that bad and everyone would know your business. They literally told everyone about my medical condition and as I was walking up to get my assigment, the staff was sitting there talking about it openly together. But DON, ADON. I liked them both because they were honest. Scheduler literally does whatever she wants with or without your approval. I give it 1 star, for the patients. The only joy was seeing them everyday !

This place is the worst place to work for! They are always short staff and work their employees for no money or appreciation. They lie to cover themselves of slack of surpervising. If the owner Steve Silver really knew what went on behind the doors of Cadia half of the employees would loose their jobs. They jump and everyone scatters when they know the state or someone very important is coming because they can’t have a mess up it’s so sad. A good facility should not have to worry or put stress on anyone when they have big visitors because they are always doing what they should....Always!! They need better management to successfully succeed and better COMMUNICATION skills. Working at this place has caused stress and tears with no sentimental satisfaction of even wanting to go to work everyday. It was like being back in high school; having higher end hr assistants and Directors of Nursing look at you very nasty like you have no value. Disgusting! No Support! No Guidance! Definitely No Team Work! The Bosses of the employees should be hands on rather than word of mouth to a time sensitive situation that could cost someone their job. It’s Pathetic & Sad!!!

 over all if you want to learn  cadia healthcare seem to be a best place to learn due to diversities of group and races. but, problem is Few employee for many patients at night make the job very exhausted. however,  days time seem okay
lack of new equipment's, and lack of compassions for staff toward injury GNA they don't call nor follow up to see if you need anything those was the complaint for many GNA myself as nursing assistant i injury my back or 4 months still be on schedule even though they did not see  me in floor i guess dealing to a lot of people is traumatic and exhausted i understand myself i have experienced it the stress and anxiety try to satisfy every one .i finally understand why certain nurses will assisted only 2 times at night...
myself it is not easy GNA do mostly everything dealing with back pain  its not easy to work with disable the pain, frustrations, not to able to do it  again
food services are ok team work nursing GNA are okay too. the problems seem to be patients most of the time disrespecting, unsatisfied most of the time  workers .over all if you want to learn it the best place to have experti

I regret to share my disappointing experience at Cadia Rehab. The leadership here lacks professionalism, qualifications, and fails to support their staff effectively. There's an evident disconnect between their role and displaying the essential work ethic needed in leadership positions.

Staff members aren't adequately trained, and when this issue is brought to the leadership's attention, it's consistently ignored. This lack of concern for proper training reflects poorly on the management's priorities and the value they place on their employees.

Moreover, the disheartening reality is that the safety of residents doesn't seem to be a top priority. This negligence poses a serious concern and casts doubt on the facility's commitment to providing a secure environment for those under their care.

In conclusion, the evident lack of leadership quality, unprofessionalism, and disregard for staff concerns at Cadia Rehab make it challenging to recommend this facility to anyone seeking quality care or considering employmenthere. 

This place is by for the scariest and unorganized place. 
Please... save yourself. 
1. Administration is lazy. Her voicemail is full. She is manipulative. 
2. Unfortunately, this building experience a COVID-19 outbreak dropping the senses from 116 beds to below 80. Unfair and unsafe nursing environment, by having one nurse to 32 patients ratio.
3. Rehab director is controlling and narcissistic, with expectations that are unrealistic for the quality of patients in the building.
4. Patient care is horrible, with wounds, weightloss, and neglect.
5. Family members have requested for their love ones to be removed a transfer from this facility due to state survey coming to the building twice including another survey before the end of July 2020. Loved ones have witnessed neglect, fatality, and poor building maintenance.

If you want somewhere to just get paid… This is the place. But if you want to work somewhere that actually cares about employees, patient care and overall ethics? Run... FAST. 

This week alone, has been five resignations. Including my own.

The company has no direction. The leadership is lacking and missing any sense of urgency. They respond to issues, crisis situations, and problems with no speed and no clear understanding. They want to hire the best but pay next to nothing. Corporate has no vision but is happy to get involved and micromanage, while having little to no understanding of issues. How they view their employees is even worse. They refuse to build a company culture and think free food is the key to boost morale. They are stuck in the late 90’s because senior management’s hands are tied by corporate and they fear of new ideas or they are too afraid to innovate. They refuse to have anyone work from home because they fear you won’t do your job. They will continue to lose good employees because they lack the vision and there is no growth. From a heavy handed, over involved corporate office to the bloated level of middle management and ineffective senior management, the company won’t grow and will only barely make it because they lack in so many areas. 

Never work at cadia pike creek it's a shi* show the whole building is dirty.. The managers and administrator  pick and choose who they wish to fire without proper investigation. The supervisor don't help when we are short staffed.... The administrator has been told several times about what goes on and nothing happens...She is very rude when talking to employee I have witness her talk to staff in front of everyone in the resident hall way. It's hard working at a nursing facility with everything going on and not feel comfortable at work because no one cares about anything....we are short staffed everyday. No one cares no one care no one care do not work at cadia pike creek, corporate staff who are they???  Do they even care because we haven't received anything from them during this pandemic! Sad we have no childcare no extra money working short, bed bugs, nasty free lunch that has been monitor like we kids because they assume we will steal someone else lunch its just a mess.

So, I went in for an interview and the ONLY question I was asked was why I wanted to work there. That’s it. I was then taken to HR who offered me a job. Now, to have absolutely no interview questions asked and then to be offered a job sent a very uneasy feeling through me. They obviously are desperate for staff, and that is red flags to me. There is probably a high turnover and I am not comfortable taking a job where the interview wasn’t even an actual interview. The pay isn’t there either. I didn’t get into nursing for the pay but at the same time I need to get paid enough to support my children, and this job just doesn’t do that. My jaw hit the floor at how low it the pay is, and with the astronomical rise in prices of EVERYTHING, the pay just wasn’t enough for me to survive off of, let alone support my children with. I am really disappointed at the pay, but the huge thing was the interview, or lack there of.
Definitely HUGE RED FLAGS.

My time with Cadia has been the same as alot people before me UNORGANIZED. Departments don’t know what other departments are doing!  Communication is so bad and corporate is hands off. Just fix it! And it feels like corporate is afraid of change but not when firing people! The company seems to be run on fear! I’m afraid they might find me and fire me for leaving this review! The administrator is never around and talks to you like a child. I never been talked to so bad in my career. I’d go to HR but there’s no point. They stay in their office all day and that never changes! If the owner comes in people scatter like roaches trying to patch their mistakes and find excuses. The company needs to change or we’ll find better place to work. They wouldn’t care just replace us with people that are worst
