Callogix prides itself on “always putting excellent customer service first” which means that you, the employee, are an afterthought. 
	The job itself wasn’t too bad. Most customers were friendly and polite. However, it could get very stressful with high call volumes and rude customers. If a customer is screaming at you on the phone, you are the one dealing with it, not management.
	The pay here is far below industry standards and not nearly enough for the stress you endure. Other call centers in the area pay around $16-$20 per hour while here the amount is between $11-$13. 
	You're also given very little training and then thrown on the phones. This would be fine if leaders were knowledgeable and willing to help, which they are not. You will never get the same answer twice for any given question you ask. Often times, you have to put a customer on hold for long periods of time because a leader doesn’t know the answer to your question. You are then yelled at for having the customer on hold too long. 
	The work culture is disrespectful. There is always office gossip going around, and leaders pick favorites. Management will often send out emails asking employees if they’d like to skip their lunch. If you call in sick or have a family emergency, they are not understanding at all. You’re often required to drive to work in state of emergency snow storms as the call center or fear of losing your job. Most projects are open 24/7, 365 days a year. If you miss a day of work, they will pressure you into working through your lunch or staying late another day. 
	You're also often asked to complete tasks outside of the role you were hired for without being compensated. For example, having to train new employees even though that is not in your job description and you don’t have experience training others. You can also count on staying at work a half hour or later after you shift ends taking calls that are still in the que. Not the greatest job if you have small children or a second job.
	It is nice how they give you a half hour lunch and a 20 minute break. You also get your own cubicle to work in. They occasionally have free prizes and paid lunches once or twice a year. This doesn’t make up for poor work life balance, problematic management, and low pay.
	 However, upper management treats you like a replaceable number and not a human being. Most of the leaders won’t know your name or anything about you. Leaders often use negative reinforcement and HR is unprofessional. Fear tactics and pettiness run rampant among management.
	 If you have innovative ideas and want to inspire change, this is not the company for you. If you are good at blindly following a script, this would be a great fit for you. Everyone starts this job happy and willing to learn and ends up burned out and miserable.
	Callogix is also copying and pasting a generic response to reviews they don't like saying they are untrue and wrong since they are posted anonymously. However, they are also responding anonymously. This is my honest and unedited opinion of my working conditions. Get out while you still can.

Callogix is probably one of the most unprofessional places that I have ever worked.  The training is never consistent & the people who are training, shouldn’t be. The way the training system is set up, is basically this: they throw a new hire on with an employee who isn’t fit to train, then they ask the supervisor on that project questions they should know the answer to, then, the supervisor asks other employees on that project for the answer. It’s a joke. If you have questions you might as well find the answers yourself because the supervisors here will not help you. They aren’t friendly, they are unprofessional, gossipy, catty & there isn’t any communication. The only communication you see Is when they talk about other employees in an open area for all to hear. If there is any communication from the supervisors is backhanded comments, sly remarks & it’s condescending. If you have any sort of issue with your project don’t bother brining it up. Somehow it will be your fault & the project will be defended instead of letting someone know about the faults. The supervisors expect full communication yet they cannot communicate amongst themselves for anything that isn’t gossip talk. If you have an appointment & you tell a supervisor, expect to still get in trouble for a “no call no show” because they “didn’t know about it”. The way the discipline system works here is ridiculous. They will start with giving your written warnings & threaten you, then they will attempt to doc your pay for 4 months while calling it a favor to you. You’ll be talked down to & insulted. If you have actual excused for your bahavior, I wouldn’t even bother saything anything because it wouldn’t make a difference. Besides management, I think HR is probably one of the worst things about this place. For a place that hires anyone & everyone she sure is judgy. She doesn’t act like she cares about the employees & they are treated like a number. She also spam emails things about etiquette & manners like we are in kindergarten. There’s no point going to HR about anything because you’ll be told to take a minute to breathe & then thrown back into the snake pit with no resolution. It’s very uncomfortable to even approach her & she’s passive aggressive. Usually when talking about anything to do with HR it’s coupled with a joke, which is what it’s equivalent to. They claim to have all these great things like a meditation room & prizes & customer service week. Don’t expect anything nice. You can’t use the meditation room unless you’re in the building it’s in & only if it’s on your lunch or break. The prizes are usually something from a sponsored insurance company & customer service week is laughable. They do have Snowfly which is a bonus system that you can transfer to a card & use as money. It’s a nice thing in retrospect but it’s taxed so there’s no point in using it. Expect everything you say to your co workers to be spread to management, most likely by a supervisor. & yes HR we know that it is easy to post a review anonymously, regardless of the truth. Why don’t you take a look at this company & ask yourself why these reviews are so negative & apply some changes. I’m sure that with a small amount of effort & improvement it’ll make a difference.

A typical day at work would start as: Getting the computer started to login to company account sites and clocking in through MyPaychex. I would receive inbound calls and  even make outbound calls for the medical department.You will go through weekly and monthly evaluations. The hardest part of this job is learning everything so quickly and they push you out into the call center on your own.The dress code is business casual when client's come to visit and are very liberal afterwards. Management pursues perfection in the reading of the script and expects you to follow it by verbatim. I learned that the management at Callogix was very helpful when it came to getting a day off for important reasons, but they find a way to punish you in your yearly increase if it isn't for medical/emergency reasons. My supervisor at the time was very critical and I would get 100's on EVERY evaluation and he would still find something wrong. I wouldn't suggest this job to people who can't handle constructive criticism or elderly customers. The most enjoyable part of this job was that I could do some coloring while waiting for calls. I had great coworkers, but my supervisor was the worst. There is not much room for advancement and the pay raises are yearly and will never go over 50 cents.

I have worked for some really great companies in the past, but I can't say that any of them would have done what CaLLogix does for their employees. 

There was a fire and 2 employees lost everything, CaLLogix assisted them. 

The company moved from Manchester to Bedford, CaLLogix was concerned for those employees who took the bus to work, they didn't want anyone to be without a job so they worked with the city and got a route to the Bedford office (this was something the company had to pay for)
 

It can be very busy and you are required to work hard, but you also have the chance to provide real customer service, there are always going to be those days when nothing seems to go right and too many callers are upset, but at the end of the day it all stays in the office and tomorrow is a new day. 

They give everyone so many chances to work on things that are not up to par, if someone is let go it's because they didn't care to help themselves by working on those items or they broke a major rule that could put the company at risk. 

The only people who do not do well at CaLLogix, are the ones who have very little work ethic, or do not want to work. 

They see their employees as people with lives and families not just  seat fillers!!

I started at the bottom and am now in management, I have seen all sides of CaLLogix and am happy to continue my employment with them

A typical day at work was helping staff with problems and taking over escalated calls for representatives, monitoring call volumes, filling in for staff taking calls, conducting call evaluations, resolving client issues, and reporting building issues.  That was just some of it, there is so much more!  Definitely not a boring job.  I learned how to prioritize quickly and how to effectively handle and resolve many different client, customer and staff issues and how to effectively interact with people in many different roles. I also learned time management.  For instance, an extra 5 minutes on a bathroom or lunch break negatively affects your co-workers.  There is a lot of good management here, but you need to be willing to work with them.  The culture changes, because many come and go quickly, and there are many different clients and departments, and it's just not for some people-some people find the expected flexibility difficult.  Some callers can be extremely difficult, so you really need to take the higher ground and be professional anyway.  The most enjoyable part for me was the working with the people I worked with and helping callers who needed help.

I had to cut off most of this review because indeed doesn't like the nitty gritty details. 
Pay & Benefits: The pay is not enough for the amount you are expected to learn or do and if you look up the client's salaries online, you'll notice that your pay is literally half of what the client's average pay rates are for the same job position. The benefits are downright pathetic and the only healthcare plan that is affordable for any one who has less than supervisor position is like $120 per month for everything to be subject to a $5,000 deductible. 
Job conditions- The office chairs that they provide are BROKEN with no proper support or ergonomics and are literally falling apart, witch poses a HAZARD. Coworkers have been injured from office chairs collapsing out from underneath them, and the company acts like it doesn't happen. They offer no ergonomic support for your desk or keyboard, and the carpets in most areas are stained and unwashed to the point where it actually has an odor. 
Pros- The only good things about this job are that some of the supervisors and employees are good people, and the fact that the turnover rate is so high that they're always begging for people to work overtime. Problem is, you wouldn't need overtime if they paid you what they should be, and since I left, most of the people who made it worth staying have also left.

This company didn't care about it's employees. 
They wrote me up as a first and final warning when snowed in from the holidays out of state and couldn't get my car out, first and only time. 
They hired a bunch of high school kids near the end they didn't have to pay and gave school credit while taking off the people who'd been on the project longest that could of assisted best,  had us place orders for a fraudulent company that would scam people, send/charge them for things they hadn't ordered, and not answer the customer service center forcing us to just place orders for such crooks. 
Finally before the downsizing made some of us transfer to a much more stressful/no room for error department in hopes we couldn't handle it and be grounds to let us go. I told them I wasn't ready to be in that setting and shortly after starting had a great loss in the family of my only grandmother left who I lived with and cared for, they knew how hard of a time I was having with it and still chose to let me go after three years and always being agreeable to whatever they asked instead of just putting me back on the calls I had been doing for the most part.
I'd been wanting to leave anyways but hadn't found a new job yet.

When you first start working here everyone is pleasant to you and willing to help. After about two or three months the management will not help. The company has very bad work life balance. You are grossly underpaid and you will get yelled at for using your breaks. It seems that HR is willing to take anyone who can pass the background and drug test. 
The rules are very inconsistent and forget about taking time off. I put in a request for a specialist Doctor office visit about a month before. I only asked for 3 hours off because I would be undergoing some testing as well. It was denied because I didn't send it in soon enough. However if you have SNAP and or get help from the government the management will let you take off as many days as you like.
Another thing that maybe a negative is 75% of the employees speak Spanish. This is great for other Spanish speakers but not for someone who doesn't. You are very isolated and that doesn't make for a great work environment. 
The workload is very intense and you will burn out quickly. 
Over time is available but the management expects to stay til closing of the project.
Quality Assurance will talk down to you and will make fun of you for asking questions.

A great start to get good experience in the call center career path. CaLLogix is a host to numerous clients and numerous different fields which allows them to employ just about anyone with any skill set: They have a place for you. They also have opportunities to grow if you are dedicated and play well with others, they will help you become a part of their administrative team.

They are an outsource center which means their goal is to save their client's money. Because of this structure, it is difficult to provide competitive wages among similar industry-directed call centers in the area. They overcompensate on striving for a friendly, open minded, relaxed and approachable work culture, incorporating fun and health-focused events to help boost and keep morale high in the workplace.

If you're just starting out, this is the place for you. They will help you learn who you are, what you want to be and help you get there by even providing discounts for your college education. 

I really do not know where I would be without them, I am so grateful for the tools they provided me in achieving my personal and professional goals.

When I began working for callogix, the company was described as progressive, with opportunities for advancement, job security, and benefits. Unfortunately, within the first 6 months, these ideas were unravelled. 3 members of management quit because they had not received an increase in pay, 1 was terminated without notice, and there were only 2 people left from my training class. The turnover rate is so high that it is disgusting.
Once a company that offered part time and fulltime, they abruptly changedto full time only and terminated anyone who could not accommodate this change. And when you are terminated, you are not informed. You are suspended and told you will be contacted, and then human resources may or may not contact you. There is a cap to how much you can earn as well, this is not disclosed until you happen to find it in you're computer system. Unless it is very necessary for you to have a job, do not apply.
