I start my day on the computer checking skipped items it is more of inventory checking then hop on my forklift pulling this items on location, in between I receive packages and sometime when I finish on time I assist on unloading the container also I help on the things that my supervisor told me to do. 

I have work there for quiet sometime, it is were I grew and learn a lot in terms of working. I learn to drive forklifts, enhance my data entry skills and following instructions from my supervisor.

We experience a change of management, the company have been bought and had a new CEO. At first it was a great move and everyone was promise with a great compensation and job security. but as years pass the company failed to do so until the company decided to close down our warehouse.

My co-workers are very easy to get along and as time goes by everyone have been great friend of mine. 

The hardest part of the job is when we are short of people. It makes one person's ratio of work go up but other than that it can be accommodated.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the work environment. Even though every days work is almost the same, Me and my colleagues have been working together for a long time everyone knows each other it makes things fun and interesting day.

A typical day involves high physical demand with constant pressure to meet productivity metrics. While the job itself is manageable, the work environment makes it difficult to succeed long-term. Management frequently changes policies without considering employee well-being. Recently, the attendance point system was extended so points remain for a full year, creating unnecessary stress. Overnight employees were forced to change schedules with little notice strictly for productivity goals.

Employees are discouraged from speaking up about concerns, as it can put their job at risk. I personally experienced a workplace injury at the loading dock, and after raising concerns, I felt my job security was threatened rather than supported. Benefits have also declined, including the removal of floating holidays.

The hardest part of the job is the lack of support and strict policies, such as the risk of termination for being even a minute late. The most enjoyable part is working with coworkers, but overall the culture makes it hard to recommend this company.🤷🏾‍♂️

In my short time here, I seen the site director, 2/3 ops managers and a lot more people get fired or separate. Also ops manager from other site, came and asked workers ”do they speak english”. The processes need to be revamped because the way they are it a lot of error. I think more or less they hire from a buddy system. No one in upper management knows the direction of day to day task. They have four shift all under staffed. So ONE team works 7 days. The management asks for the impossible, we were at 99% full with no space we still had 50+ trailers inbound. They cut hours during week because of being understaffed on weekends. But then you would come in on the weekend and they would cut you then because everyone was tryin to get hours. I  myself left a job we’re I was making a dollar less but my hours were guaranteed. Now I’m working 20-28 hours weekly. Then we change weekly from over staffed to understaffed. So your hours fluctuate

The only positive thing I can think of is that the managers actually talk to you. Anyway, it doesn't matter how fast you work if it's not done their way it's wrong. Its not a hard job, but its the people that make the rules that make the work unbearable. The say they sell "quality" parts but they really dont, Ive personally broken 22 bumber covers in 6 months, since they claim to save customers money on shipping. They have a machine to make custom boxes for the different parts, but the sizes are very inconsistent. The flimsiest cover will go into the biggest box, and the one thatll snap if you look at it wrong will have the smallest one. Its really only worth working there if youre going to be a forklift operator, Ive been waiting for a couple months. They're all about safety, but it feels like the least safe place I've been in. 

Us Autoparts is not a good company to work for. Initially, it seemed okay, however over the past few months when there was a change with CEO, everything went downhill. Management is lost, no direction. It has become such a “corporate” feel. There is no growth opportunity. Always feeling insecure about the job and major lack of company culture. Management aims to make it a One billion dollar company, however they’re far from it . Cheap talk, unrealistic goals, shady management, lack of culture, and cheap company.  Third quarter and they’re laying off people left and right just because they’re tight/in the hole with cash. They do not know how to manage money and employees . This company is going down fast!  They think they’re fast paced like a start up, but they’re not at all.  That being said, I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Benefits and compensation are major factors in any company. The benefits just went down 40% from last year with little to no change in the plans. CarParts give the team members an increase in pay every 6 months. The team has been given two more raises in between that time. The management team consistently praise and grow within the 4 walls of this community. The CarParts culture and environment is very different from the company I left after 16 years. They show appreciation to their staff consistently. The work life/home balance is very possible with this company. The show of appreciation is rated at 5 stars.

You're required to clock in 5 mins before the shift starts. Then its a half hour meeting and stretching.
Then its 5-7 more minutes of your department supervisor and leads telling you what job you'll do. Your job duties fluctuate.
Then it is work in a hot or freezing warehouse.
Used to get 3 breaks and lunch, now it's 2 and 30 minutes for lunch and good luck using one of 3 microwaves. 
Each shift is supposed to clean but they give you 10 minutes just before shift ends to do so. 
They hire outside Management for the most part and inside they promote kids with next to no experience.

terrible schedule, supervisors are rude and unprofessional, constant turnover because nobody wants to stay because of the way they treat you

you're just a number; they constantly have new people coming in through staffing agencies

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12 hour shift starting at 5am, no weekends off, and if you try to use vacation time they will deny your request unless you complain to HR

Working at carparts.com is has been great. Great people, management is always available to share your concerns with. Plenty of opportunity to advance you just have to want it and work for it, if you expect to be handed things then it tends to not work out in your favor. Work hard and you will see the results. The hours aren't bad at all as all shifts have their benefits.

Company culture is pretty good, they do potlucks, employee of the month, company BBQ s (during the better weather) and other company sponsored events. 

Overall a great place to work

There is not real solid structure on productivity. Their main concern is getting product in the racks no matter if there is available space or not. The inventory in these DCs is at an all-time high negative count systematically and physically. They don't follow the disciplinary protocol that they set up and they constantly change the rules to accommodate the company. They don't take suggestions very well from the people working on the floor and consistently cover up issues at hand just to keep production moving. It's almost like they lie to the owner but do whatever they need to do to save their tails. NONE of the DCs are OSHEA regulated.
